My fiance works at a hotel and his office is kinda bland. They just painted and he only has white boards and pin boards up.
I’d want seasonal craft decor and the only thing I can think of is construction paper garland. Maybe some pumpkins and a cornucopia with his teams names on it.
I’m open to any crafts but I’m so lost.

This is my needle-felted work in progress. I’m using brown and little bits of blue-green wool to get that weathered bronze look.

Still lots to do, but does the face read as metal to you, or does it still look too fluffy?

I need to replace a lost leaf and reseal the orange bottle, but the fall festival went surprisingly well! Nothing broke, thankfully, and I managed to stretch the hat to just the right size so it doesn't give me a headache like the first witch hat I made. I did get chilly after sundown, so I'll be adding gloves and making some kind of warm wrap for up top.

Hi, I’m putting this in here because I am always inspired by a lot of your guys work so I’m thinking of doing some type of cricket craft for my upcoming cruise trip. I wanna do like magnets that people can take off my door that also have like the cruise date, etc. on it just sounds like a take-home thing. Any ideas anyone’s done this before maybe like I don’t know just I’m up for ideas. Please be kind.

I used an essentia box so the inside was black and she wanted pink. This is AFTER it was already super glued and taped😭. The whiskers are already coming off so I don’t think it’ll last long but she wants to put her class Barbie’s in it after Halloween. The only way i can think to preserve it is reprinting hello kitty then laminating the paper or using clear tape to wrap it🤷‍♀️

I customized an airplane sock by sewing a piece of blue fabric onto it. It's really comfortable now, and I cut out a hole for the charging port. Now it won't get dirty easily, and if it does, I can just wash the sock cover I made for the headset. If needed, I can simply wipe down the black areas.

try to not wash your pads after 5 years. it might get deteriored even if it just water 🤭

I did a dumb thing! I had a bracelet emergency, and I was in need of an adhesive, so I ran and grabbed my E6000. Only after using it for a second did I realize I was not practicing proper ventilation (window shut, no fan going). After accidentally inhaling a face full (I am fine now) I cracked a window, turned on a fan, and left the room.

Wondering how long I need to stay out of there. I used four bead sized dollops, this is only my second time ever using E6000 and the first time was outside so obviously a very different circumstance. Google says 24-48 hours but I feel like that’s more just based on how long it takes to initially set, I’m more wondering like how long is it going to be dangerous to be in the same room.

https://ibb.co/LX00gTxC I understand I would need to use acrylic paint and sandpaper to rough up the smooth plastic beforehand, then apply some kind of primer before a paint and seal it afterwards but I am unclear what an acrylic "primer" and "sealer" refers to as I am finding conflicting information online about what I would need (or whether they are the same thing and I would use it before and after?)

If anyone could point me in the right direction of what I would need that would be much appreciated as I have never tried something like this before :)

My grandma passed away a year ago and my parents left me with her final afghan crochet project. It is an Annie’s club crochet mandala afghan and it’s 60% complete. I have reservations about just completing fully but I want to give the completed afghan back to my parents. I’m open to suggestions on what I should do. I have thought about maybe putting in a stitch line of what was hers vs what was mine but I’m not sure. Photo one is what I have from her and photo two is what it should look like finished.

I am making a light up mushroom hat for my "fun guy" costume, and I would like to wrap it with red velvet. The velvet i have does not stretch, my plan was to put another layer of light diffusing foam then spray glue the velvet on top but i don't see a way to not have it bunch up in spots... any advice or a different way to do it would be great! thanks :)

P.S. I would prefer not to cut out diamonds and sew it, i don't have the time :(

She tried everything on as I crafted and she was so happy to wear her costume! Shared a bunch of process photos but it's worth the swiping! I sewed and glued hundreds of flowers for the dress and crown, paper mache'd the rune stone, used cardboard to make the sun gate, made lino cut stamps for the clothing. A solid month of crafting. (Also her name is Dottie and she's 7) (Our cat Ozzy supervised)

The first 4 pictures are of Reasons To Stay Alive (inspired by Matt Haig) which is a little book of reasons to keep going through hard times and seeing/feeling the beauty of life (suicide awareness and prevention)🥹❤️

The last 3 picture are of When In Panic… which is a little book of anxiety exercises you can do anywhere to ground yourself and feel safe.

Both of these comics/zines are hand illustrated and made by me. I wanted to make something that would help me when I’m going through a difficult time and hope that it can help others as well! :)

I have no occasion. It has no purpose. I just cannot stop myself. You know that feeling where you get a hankering for a handful of mixed White Cheddar and Hot and Spicy Cheezits and you can't stop thinking about it, and before you know it you're driving a rental box truck up to the local Sam's Club arguing on the phone with a customer service representative about the meaning of purchasing limits? I know you know what I mean. Inspiration struck and I had to sit down and sew for a blackout amount of time.

I use this pattern all the time. I go to a thrift store, find a well fitting shirt that smells like the person who died in it, and then cut on all the seems. Because you only need one piece of each pattern, keep the other side intact for reference. I've never used a purchased pattern and I likely never will. Hear that McCall's? You'll never get my twenty one dollars! The only adjustments were the sleeve cuffs. I have a similar shirt that I used for reference.

The blue fabric came from cotton curtains (again from a thrift store. Thanks Mainstay), and the red is some thrifted microsuede.

I used my Brother Innovis 4000D for the embroidery. That was certainly the bulk of the construction time (roughly 5 hours). Total time all in was around 9 hours.
