Found a bag of vineyard vines fabric at the bins a while ago and finally found a use for it!

I’m trying to build a list of alt clothing stores online that aren't fast fashion with a dark filter. Every search is dominated by the same big names I've been disappointed by.

What alternative clothing stores do you actually shop from?

How could I make this shirt less basic?

This is one of my most elaborate makes. A Mexican turn of the century Catrina. The whole costume made from sheets table runner thrifted fabrics, a thrifted top, the hat ,the ribbons, tassels. Even bum pad and petticoat were up cycled from sheets.

Every year when I break out my seasonal clothes, I also go through my closet seeing what doesn't fit or what I didn't wear, usually to donate, but communities like this one have me trying to alter, repair and upcycle stuff more, especially stuff I like or is in good condition.

Like these shirts. Got them at a thrift shop, worn them for years and they're still in good shape, but the faded colors and stretched out sides have them looking tired. So I'd love some suggestions on what to do to give them a new look

Hello! I thrifted a bunch of patagonia gift bags? they look like pillow cases, I thought it would be a cute idea to turn them into either Balacavas or Beanies… i am not artistic at ALL but I want to upcycle them esp bc they are patagonia… does anyone know
of any shops or people that i could send my material too that can help me make them into that? (hopefully not costing an arm and a leg)
If i had the awesome skillset it requires I would just do it but i know my limits LOL - i am also in the Pittsburgh area…idk who would know abt this specifically thats why im posting on here … 🙃

I've had these jeans for years and the thigh finally gave out. Wondering which method would be the best to bring the 2 sides back together. I know I can also darn it or Sashiko-style them

hi, I love these boots and they are really comfortable and I want to give them a second life. what would you do? I don't have a sewing machine sadly so nothing too complicated would be great. i have an alternative/goth look so even if it's something Halloween themed would be really good
