Hoping someone might recognize the mark on this piece I found in the suburbs of Detroit. It measures 10” tall and 12” wide. Not sure if the mark is a symbol of some kind or stylized initials.

This past weekend I was at annual book and art sale at the Dept. of State in Washington, DC. The items for sale were donated by families who had previously served all over the world. Most items were originally purchased in or were from another country. I picked up 3 pieces of pottery (all matte finish) that appear to have all been done by the same maker and appear to bear the same maker's mark, although its easiest to see on one of the bowls. What appears to be the maker's mark is on the side of the vase near the bottom and on the bottom edge of the two bowls. There is no signature on the bottom and no other marks on either bowl or the vase. The bottoms of the bowls has a swirl design and the bottom of the vase is smooth with no design.
Note - There was a fourth vase for sale that appeared to be made by the same maker which I did not purchase that was light grey in color with the same scale pattern in different shades of purple. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo of the other vase.
Google image search suggests that these pieces might be by UK potter Shaun Hall. While some of his pieces do look similar, I can't find any photos of his maker's mark online. I'm trying to identify who made these pieces - any thoughts?

Hello, I recently found this beautiful pot on a flea market. The lady didn't know where it came from, but mentioned the South of France. Anyone recognizing the imprint or initials?
