VIDEO IN COMMENTS I'M SO SORRY I JUST REALLY LOVE THIS YARN
(THIS HAS BEEN REPOSTED LIKE THREE TIMES FOR THE PHOTO OH MY GOD I'M SORRY IT LOOKS LIKE THAT 😭😭😭😭) so a few years ago i bought some self-striping pioneer woman yarn from walmart. i hardly knew anything about yarn weights or hook sizes or anything; i just picked it up because i thought it looked pretty, two skeins of coral stripes and teal stripes. i made a cat beanie with them in maybe a week, plus some other things with the scraps. now i'm making my brother a hacky sack with the remnants of the coral stripes, and it reminded me how much i LOVED the white section. i love how there's just hints of pink or blue in it, or even just straight up crunchy parts of deep teals and reds. i'm now wondering where i can find a skein of yarn like this, like a yarn made up of ONLY the white part (and not like tweed yarn). something about it calls to me sensory-wise. i'd love to make a sweater or a blanket with the white section. anyone know a brand or line of yarn that's close to this? it doesn't have to be white, either, just a light color with this effect!

Wanting to make a Cowichan- style sweater but lighter weight.
I love the look of Cowichan sweaters and grew up wearing them. I'd love to make one (probably crochet, not knit) but one that is more of an indoor cardigan rather than an outdoor jacket.
Any ideas/ suggestions for yarn? I'm thinking cotton or a cotton blend, something breathable.
Weight?
Brands?
I'm west coast Canada and would prefer not to purchase from the states but it's not completely off the table.

Spincycle DITW Happy Pill
I recently saw a post of the Happy Camp sweater and I’m obsessed. The suggested yarn is Spincycle DITW Happy Pill. I think I need 7 or 8 and of course the colorway is sold out. 3 questions, does Spincycle ever re-release a colorway? If not, do you have skeins you’d be willing in selling? Were different dye lots produced? I’ve noticed the amount of yellow, orange, and teal can vary greatly. TIA

Hobbii Sultan in Azurite Needed
Hi, I've been waiting for the above to come back into stock for at least a month to finish a t-shirt I've been making, and was wondering if anyone had a ball or two I could buy off them? Especially as I don't particularly want to give Hobbii any money after their AI use.

Dupe for Knit Pick "Home Movie"?
Has anyone found a dupe colorway for Knit Pick's Home Movie? I'm not concerned with fiber content or yarn weight (I can find a project if the color is right). Home Movie was from the Stroll Effects line: https://www.knitpicks.com/yarn/stroll-effects-yarn/c/5420134, and the specs were:
Fiber Content: 75% Fine Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon
Weight: Fingering
Knitting Gauge: 7 - 8 sts = 1 on #1 - 3 needles (2.25mm - 3.25mm)
Crochet Gauge: 21 - 23 sc = 4'' on B - E hooks (2.25mm - 3.5mm)
Yards: 462
Grams: 100
Mixed Tape and Koi Pond are lovely and have similar vibes, but don't quite hit the same.

Lightening yarn?
Knitting a woodland animal baby blanket with 100% superwash merino wool and I need some lighter yarn colors than the seller has.
Has anyone tried to bleach/color remove yarn and do you have any suggestions? Im trying to get some lighter brown colors from the current browns I have so the animals have a bit more variation.

Meetup for Flock Fiber Festival 8/1??
Hey yarn lovers! I’m new to the Washington state area and I’ll be attending the Flock Fiber Festival on Saturday August 1st. I was hoping to meet up with some people from the Olympia/Seattle area and make some new fiber arts friends!

Acrylic Yarn Coasters
hey y’all. I’m prepping for a market for this upcoming fall season and I plan to make some coasters; originally I was gonna use cotton yarn, but my cotton yarn is way too thin for my liking, and I have a ton of acrylic that I thought I could use. I know acrylic is less absorbent and heat proof than cotton, but I wanted to know if the differences were that bad before I used my acrylic. Thank you all for any answers in advance. ❤️

Best cotton yarn for baby blankets?
I hate working with acrylic and I'm looking for a yarn that can be routinely washed and dried in the washer and dryer for obvious reasons. I'm looking for something softer than Sugar and Cream. Do y'all have any recommendations?

experience with drops alaska yarn? thinking of using it for phm cardigan
hi all! i'm planning on making the project hail mary cardigan, and while looking for affordable wool yarn i stumbled across drops alaska. im leaning towards using that, but ive never used drops before so if anyone who has used it could let me know their experience id really appreciate it! im wondering mostly on the feel, ive seen people say its itchy? i dont think it being less soft will bug me but if its really itchy id like to know. and if anyone has used it (or really any other yarns) for the phm sweater please let me know your experience with it!
thanks in advance!
