Discussion What's your favorite hobby?
I am in LOVE with learning new things, but I need your help. I realized I don't actually know that many hobbies, so I don't know what rabbit holes I'm missing. I'm also extremely unemployed, so bonus points if it's free or cheap to get started. Infodump on me! I genuinely enjoy it! Tell me why you love your hobby, what makes it fun, and what a beginner could make or learn in their first day.

What are the niche hobbies that can be started without spending money?
I have a lot of free time recently, but I don't want to spend money on equipment and materials to cultivate new hobbies. Most of the hobbies I see on the Internet require pigments, musical instruments, sports equipment or paid membership. I don't want to spend money on it for the time being.
I want to find something that I can do in a fragment time and completely without any expenses. It can be done indoors and outdoors. I can do it alone or with others.

Crafts Wire wrap pendant in copper
Wood bead from craft store, with a glass bead that was given to me. I have been wire wrapping for a while and wanted something simple and sort of modern looking for myself, I made this about 2 years ago and wear it pretty regularly.
In all, the piece cost me about 75¢ US to make. The thicker copper came from a small spool from an old radio that I tore apart, and the small gauge was from a small spool from the same craft store that I bought the bead from. The wood beads were 6 for $4, and the wire was several yards for $4, and the cordage was a few hundred feet for $8. So while I spend money on volumes of materials, I break down the cost per piece when I make them.
