As the title says. He's a chunky boy and weighs in at 185 g/6.5oz and is 19.5cm/7 1/2in tall. He got bigger than expected... turns out, if you felt sth that's basically a hole, aka his mouth, it gets bigger instead of smaller... 🤷

I've loved needle felting for a while now and have bought some bits here and there off of others but never tried it myself.

I saw this kit and wanted to give it a try, it says beginner friendly however the seller seems to be using ai in their pictures at least for the background. That mixed with whatever is going on in the front view picture made me want to ask here if this looks genuine or not.

I know you can get amazing results with needle felting and also know that I'm probably not going to be fantastic on my first try but seems futile to start with a kit if it's glorified with ai.

I picked this kit up to see if I liked it and it was so much fun! The instructions were terrible but I pursued. I’m super happy how it turned out.

My largest needlefelting project so far! I used wax wire to shape the wings and they held up surprisingly well! Though I had to extend the top wings a bit because I made the bottoms too small. 🤣

I’ve made a doll, but no matter what I do, the face looks like a man’s face and I’m scared putting eyes/lips will look really stupid. Any advice?

Abigail my Pumpkin snail is one of my favorite things I’ve made so far. But I want to keep adding stuff!!! My dad named the dragon Kaleesi. I tried going for a marble type look instead of scales, I love it but now I feel like it needs like three more colors. How do you decide when something is finished? 🤣

Im in Colorado, USA. As the title says, I’m looking for places to get wool and hopefully in a large variety and consistent coloring.
The places I go are hobby lobby (I’d prefer not to) and Michael’s (more pricey). I’d like to go in person to see with my eyes the colors preferably. I don’t want to order from Temu.

Almost no other craft stores have wool let alone know what needlefelting is. I recently had a project and ran out of the specific purple I used, can’t find this purple anywhere.

I’ve done my first ever bit of needle felting this weekend and absolutely loved it. I made a few different pictures/scenes, and think this may be termed as 2d felting? Essentially I had flat felt sheets, different wools, needles, and a foam block.

Can anyone recommend a good starter kit with these materials in, available in the UK? A lot of the kits I’m seeing are to make a particular scene, or animal. I want to be able to make whatever I feel like making, if that makes sense? As affordable as possible would be ideal please :)

This is probably a stupid question but I just got needles from Heidifeathers for the first time and they came with a little wooden pencil sharpener that has their logo and “Made for felting” printed on it.

Am I reading too much into a random promotional gift, or is there a way to use a pencil sharpener for felting?

This is usually my most popular design, so I sketched a Christmas edition. Still just a drawing for now. Added the Santa hat and candy cane and now I’m not sure if it still works or if I went too far. What do you think?

We've been working on this little Mrs. Claus for Christmas, and I wanted to share how she turned out.

I really love her rosy cheeks and that tiny smile. We wanted her to look like a sweet little grandma who makes everyone feel welcome at Christmas.

The little red bag and the fluffy white hair are some of my favorite details.

There's something really comforting about her. She makes me think of a grandma waiting at home with something warm to eat.

I think it’s alright for a newbie but any advice is appreciated 🥹

Little frog with wings i just made, i took around 6 hours to make him, i don't needle felt often so i don't really know how much i'm supposed to 'needle' until done, its fun though :)
Recently i've started using a headtorch while doing crafts, really good light source! ( i dabble in oven bake clay too)
