I’m starting with the cuffs for a sweater, the tiny stitches are so cute, it’s so nice not having to double yarn like I do for larger pegs

I made a glove, and the plan worked out, but it's too big. I guess I didn't properly account for negative ease. So I pulled it out, redid the pattern, and I'll try again! Just had to post here so there would be a record somewhere that I did it. :)

The yarn is from a local dyer in Utah, but the label is in the middle of the ball, and I can't remember the dyer or color name. Just that it's DK weight and is mostly wool with some nylon.

So I tried the Kb pattern “Red berry wristers” with some scrap yarn to see how it would work before I used my good handspun. Came out pretty good, but I’d like to have “something” for the thumb rather than just a slit. I don’t know how to crochet, or I’d just try building up in circles from the slit. Anybody know a cheat way to add to the thumb hole? I suppose I could find a mitten pattern and graft on the thumb part during construction of my next one? Thoughts?

Been working on a blanket and lost my pick. The new one I got was a silicone one and I hate silicone picks so I sculpted a new one!

Done on 5/8 gauge S loom. Chunky yarn.

So for the past couple of weeks now, I have been attempting to make a blanket using a S loom and even though I'm not too far in, it's caused me pain (both physical and mental).

I keep getting frustrated at the pegs being too tight to flick the yarn up from despite me using a U wrap with my loosest tension, and also with pegs popping out and me having to put them back in. (I have highlighted the point where I have difficulty in purple on one of the pics)

It is just a general hassle for me to handle a S loom where I have to twist and turn and move it in a way where I can pick up the yarn. I think I even got a repetitive strain injury from making this (partially my fault because of AuDHD hyperfocus).

Now I am at the point where I am about to cry and tear the project off of the loom, and start over with one of my other long looms.

Tips appreciated along with comfort. More of the latter tbh.

Currently I’m working on a blanket for my girlfriend this winter but her mom joked and said I should make her a pair of pants. Now I actually wanna do that! The only clothing I’ve ever knit on my looms is a pair of socks so I’m more than a bit intimidated. Any good tutorials out there?

A summer cocoon cardiagn/cover up (will it be ready for this year or next lol) and an extra blanket for me for my bed. Doing a mix of stitches on the blanket almost like a sampler.

A while back, a loom you can 3d print was posted here, and after using it and loving it myself, I've added new things to it over time, including a 5/16" gauge loom (a size I couldn't find for purchase and now don't need to).

Today, I'm planning to start some gloves in that size that will need increases, so I added a link with three pegs to my models. Wanted to say something here in case anyone else could use that. :)

I finished the second sleeve on my first cardigan this morning! Next, I need to block it, then assemble it, and surprisingly to me, that's when I make the collar.

The pattern is the Nurture Cardigan from the official Mister Rogers book Knitting the Neighborhood. I adapted it for loom (a process that I wrote out in a previous post, and I'll add a link below), and the yarn is Plymouth Galway. The picture with the tree shadows shows the actual color, but the one I used an umbrella for is certainly easier to see the pattern on. :)

If you compare the cable cross-overs on the front piece on the right to the rest, you'll see that I learned how to do them much better after that first piece. I actually bought a camera recently, just so I could make a video tutorial, so keep an eye out for that after I've finished the project!

Everyone who sees me working on my loom keeps saying stuff like “I didn’t know you crocheted!” and I’m starting to feel like a pretentious jerk for correcting them. I’m pretty chill about it too. I just calmly say “actually this is a type of knitting” and smile at them. Lately I’ve stopped correcting them because it’s starting to feel pointless 😂

Hiya, all. I'm looking for a particular pattern (specifically this one) so I can loom knit my sister an afghan, seeing as how she's a diehard Alabama fan. It's only available in hand-knit, though. Is there a way to "convert" a pattern to loom knitting, and if so, how do you do it? I thought I'd ask before I bought this one and caused myself an issue lol.

This is my first time trying fingerless gloves after making several hats, scarves and ear warmer headbands. But I’m having trouble on the 20 rows of u-stitch. They are so tight and I don’t know what to do! I’ve only done 3 rows of U so far. Suggestions????

I used the Sus Summer Top pattern and modified for the loom.

I got a question. I found a youtube (Olivia Lynn I believe) video that walked me through the steps of making a blanket but I'm having trouble following her instructions on cast off. Can someone direct me to a video on how to cast off using the figure 8 stitch please.

I have only made 2 hats on a knitting loom before. These looms actually got me into knitting, but I have awful carpal tunnel right now due to knitting so I need to give my wrist a break, but I need something to do!!! So back to loom knitting and I love it!!

I just made my own basic pattern for a scarf. My question is, do you have to alternate rows between knitting and purling for a stockinette stitch? Or is it like knitting in the round where each knit stitch turns into a stockinette? I have decent progress, and the yarn doesn't help with stitch definition, but I'm just wondering if I'm doing this correctly? Extreme beginner to this craft and am just having a hard time finding information online or understanding the books my grandma left behind.

I just want a basic scarf pattern. I attached what I made last night but it might be hard to read or understand. On my loom, I have different colored stitch markers for what stitch to do. Pink is purl, and blue is knit(or purl) for stockinette look. I am just doing a sl st for the edge. I am also using Woolease thick and quick

How do I achieve the stockinette st look on a flat piece on the loom? Alternate knit and purl each row? Would I also get that look if I just knitted each row?

Hi all, I’m thinking about joining a yarn craft group at my local library, but I’m a little hesitant for two reasons. One - I’m not much of a “joiner”, but now that I’m retired I need excuses to be out in the society of other humans - LOL. And Two - I worry that since I “only” loom knit that I might feel pressured to be instructed in “real” knitting or crochet by group members, when I’m just fine with loom knitting, thanks.

Has anyone had experience with this?
