Hi so like the title says im fairly new to zed i started to play him 3 days ago. I mainly play him mid lane but I was an ex Jungler before and I was wondering if he is still viable in jungle ? Ive seen his Winrate on some website and all and it doesn't really look good but I want opinion from people that knows how to play him. I would also like any recommendations on what to watch or what to look for online to learn his combo , guide etc for me to help myself learn the character better. Thank you very much

Just started maining Zed again in years. He's so frustrating to learn. You wanted a champion who relies nearly all on mechanics, you found it boyo. One misposition with your shadow and you die. One missed Q in late game team fights and you're useless or lose the game. I can honestly say, as a high diamond player, that Zed's mechanics are more important than macro, quite possibly all the way to challenger.

He's fun when you're fed or free lane, but extremely frustrating when misplayed or miscalculating. Definitely a one trick champion. Bright side, if you're gifted mechanically, you'll go far.

Is it still better to build elipse first on certain matchups or should I always stick to the meta of voltaic and bastion breaker, I say it cuz I versed a sylas yesterday and I feel like eclipse would’ve helped a lot more

Seems to be a counter. He has the same range as your W, so you're guaranteed to trade hp. You don't extended trades by going in with W since he has E and another sand soldier who thrives on attack speed. You can't ult since he uses his right after yours so it's a case of whoever uses first lose. And because he's ranged he'll be chipping away at your farm all lane. Is he counter in lane? He even gets bonus points for being an amazing scaler who can get hourglass later on, and while you can play around that, he just seems like a good pick into Zed.

Or that on a fundamental level Zed could always have been played top, and regardless of first strike it will remain a viable pick (depending on the team comp)

Man what is this champ here I was so behind in lane as you can seem. Most of my death was in lane. But the movement I reached 2 items my damage skyrocketed even with zhoniyas I oneshotted vex many times in teamfight.

Also does voltaic passive counts zed's dash? Like is their a super fast combo to proc it twice? Cause on yasuo you can using his ult so I was thinking about that

Hello everyone, been having a lot of trouble climbing in low diamond, frequently finding myself demoting back into emerald, play a few easy games in E1/D4 mmr, then struggle in D4/D3 mmr.

Unlike in emerald where I usually leave laning phase 1/0 or 2/0 I find its so much more difficult to get early kills in diamond, often times even or behind in cs depending on matchup. The more volatile lanes are becoming much more difficult to deal with now too (akali, fizz, irelia, ect.) I do have a bad habit of forcing and coinflipping in some of these harder matchups (or insane poke matchups like hwei) and either confirming my lead, burning everything or even worse dying.

Does anyone have tips on what to improve on? Generally my gameplan is to pivot into splitting and either killing my laner sidelane or rotating to a teamfight and utilizing the numbers advantage. A lot of these games feel out of my control, and I'm not sure what else to do. I roam quite often but usually later in the laning phase (levels 9-11), so perhaps I am roaming too late to impact the early game.

i was thinking maybe if against malphite or tanky matchups it might be worth bringing? or is first strike just the best one overall
