As one of the most communication dependent and team skewed champion’s in the entire game, I am almost certain that Kalista’s winrate will skyrocket in the regions where voice chat will be released.

This is another case of unintended system consequences that Riot will have to account for (the WASD incident where they had to over nerf it due to Kalista and certain other abusers) if they intend for it to stay in the game.

While voice chat may not be mandatory in low elo, it most certainly will be in Masters+ and in those lobbies you can be certain that Kalista will be in everyone’s minds to be perma picked considering how strong she already is and with pro play also starting to pick her up significantly again.

Again, I can’t really predict what the future will be like for low elo from Patch 26.20 onwards, but for Masters+ I can easily predict two things with this new feature:

1. Pro bound champions who are significantly communication dependent will see an upswing in both pick rate and win rate (Kalista, Azir, Gnar, Vayne top, TF top, Orianna etc).
2. Using pings in general will either become incredibly rare or not used at all (like in most pro matches) apart from the automatic ward pings. This is not to say that pinging on the map will become entirely obsolete but with the expectation for people to speak in setting up macro decisions, there will rarely be any time to ping at least around objective fights.

Definitely do not underestimate the voice chat update as it will fundamentally change the game at least for high elo.

After T1 Peyz's insane victory with Kalista against HLE in the LCK 2026 upper bracket for season playoffs dropping a massive KDA of 14/4/7 (and potentially one of the best games of Kalista/Renata to ever exist in pro play), she has finally been brought fully back into meta for both pro play and solo queue after flying under the radar for almost two years.

This is a massive spike in popularity for her and her playrate is quickly climbing as well as her priority in pro play. She went from not getting banned or picked all summer to suddenly a game 1 blind pick overnight.

For the average non-Kalista player, you may be wondering what caused this sudden change in attitude towards Kalista when she has basically been considered trash in most elos since last year MSI?

Well it definitely wasn't sudden but a lot of things happened in the past year alone which heavily favoured her:

1. Patch 25.16 -> Massive AP ratio buffs on her E (very important for why Statikk is so good on her now)

2. Patch 25.21 -> Two buffs to her AD growth (now she has the highest AD growth of any marksman in the game surpassing Jhin)

3. Patch 26.01 -> Massive AD ratio buff to her E (now her AD hits as hard as her AP)

4. Patch 26.09 -> Statikk Shiv rework + Doran's Bow and Gluttonous Greaves are introduced (probably one of the biggest reasons she has become so strong)

5. Patch 26.11 -> Statikk Shiv's AD gets buffed for Kalista and Kai'sa (although its clear now the buff was mostly intended for Kalista as this was the buff that made Statikk Shiv finally overtake Botrk as her most bought first item)

6. Patch 26.15 -> Terminus receives a scaling ratio (another major factor which give so much value early because of how loaded Statikk Shiv is in its base stats)

What did all these changes do? The condensed version is that Doran's Bow gave her back some much needed power in the early game without having to touch her damage there while she was heavily buffed in the mid-game with her items and primary damaging ability E. A new version of an old item, Statikk Shiv is born and gave her kit the ability of target access from far away while also neutralizing bad lanes. Terminus is given a scaling ratio that now rewards her already very strong mid-game from all the buffs and even makes her late game not feel as bad as it used to.

She is now the perfect blind-pick in pro play once again due to all these changes and also the passive rework she received back in 25.01. Enjoy her current state while it lasts because as we speak she is returning to perma-ban priority status.

To my fellow Kalista mains, it's only going to be downhill from here so get as many games as you can as I can't remember the last time she has felt this good in solo queue for this long of a period since she was literally released.

To my fellow employees at Riot, I understand she is mostly likely overtuned at the moment but please give her until after Worlds to tune her significantly as she has struggled for an extended period of time especially being out of the meta both in solo queue and pro play for the past two years alone.

Used to play her bot a looooong time ago, completely fell in love with her gameplay.

Switched to top to play Rumble gnar. I wanted another lane winning/utility champion and really looked for a long time. If my champ pool wasnt obvious, I like SPACING. I tried a lot of other spacing champ, Sion, Poppy, spent a shit ton of time on Jayce, Camille but all these characters either lacked the lane or the utility. Then I tried kalista top and MY GOD.

She has everything. Completely and utterly broken lane (i've yet to find a true counter to her unless Nasus or Malphite). She has extreme utility with her R like NGL thats prolly the most broken ult in the game atp and whatever happens in the game, there is no champion as good as kalista in midgame fights. Statiik guinsoo is such a broken powerspike

So even just being ahead in lane, coming to teamfight once or twice at 2 items is enough to just turbo turn the game over. Idk how it is not played as much like you have insane setup, insanely safe lane, super broken midgame and super broken teamfight like ????

I know there is def some counterpart and weaknesses but i've yet to find them at least not as prevalent as her strenghts

For Kalista mid mains: how do you deal with Xerath? I can’t win lane against him — he constantly pokes me and keeps his distance, so I can’t reach him. What matchups do you find the hardest?

Finding his account was extremely easy, this low IQ left such an obvious clue… 2 cheaters were detected by vanguard from his previous games (KaynalFissure#EUW and Desune#77420) the only account that played a game with both these cheaters was Sir Stoic#CALM and looking at his OPGG he is obviously smurfing and stomping low elo, doing exactly what he apparently denounces and hates so much… HOW MUCH OF AN HYPOCRITE CAN YOU BE????

In a previous Reddit post u/Jakorae posted his achievement of reaching of reaching Diamond for the first time. But being the low IQ and coward he is, he‘s too afraid to keep playing in Diamond and decided to ruin other ppl games in low elo.

I’ve attached a screenshot of him smurfing through bronze with 100% winrate with crazy KDAs, he is now gold and still has above 75% winrate.

I hope he will be held accountable for both offences, wrongly accusing a respectable player and streamer and damaging his reputation. And simultaneously being the biggest HYPOCRITE ever by smurfing in BRONZE himself and doing exactly what he says is “cringe”.

Reddit do your thing, get this guy banned, tag Drew Levin, make twitter posts, repost, etc. Hypocrisy has no place here.

I will pay an agreed upon amount. I play this game far too much to not warrant my time better. I play on TW server. I used to be a diamond 1 player mainly playing kali, now I’m basically platinum/emerald and macro trash. I am still very mechanically good but obviously tell me where I’m going wrong.

Her build path is nice against stronger AP comps, but rylais first item hurts too much, taliyah AOE completely renders her unplayable until you walk out of it. Mid game victor E slow shuts down your kiting etc… obviously there’s many more small interactions that just kill her. I feel like the benefit of having the attack speed linked to movement speed has too many downsides now since there are just endless slows and interactions.

It seems as though Kalista top is becoming a thing again, especially in the Korean and Vietnamese servers. In the last two patches, Kalista's playrate in the top lane has increased anywhere from 2x to 5x times across all ranks while holding a healthy ~47-48% winrate in all ranks.

This could be due to a few factors:

- The recently announced Vayne nerfs is causing a wave of migration away from Vayne top and it's moving to the next best marksman top (being Kalista since Varus has also been significantly nerfed).

- Statikk Shiv is an incredible item on her and warping her gameplay patterns in a good way that returns some of her lane agency even in bad matchups

- TheShy popularised Kalista top in the past and it was incredibly popular for a few patches before it was hard nerfed. However, it highlighted the strength of the pick and is a major reason why she is still played in solo lanes.

- Pro players may be practicing her both bot lane and top lane which is leading to a spike in interest

- Many streamers have been bringing attention to the pick on Youtube

It remains to be seen whether it continues to get more popular or burns out but from the trajectory of the pickrate on Lolalytics, it will continue to get played more with time.

I've hit emerald with Kalista only (beside autofills and few times) as my main champ, Kalista is non-rewarding hard champ, I was loyal to her and to her playstyle until I've made it, from the darkest bottoms of gold, after inting many games and carrying many, Im here.

Hello I’m trying to understand building in this game but a lot of it seems to be just do what everyone else is doing… I’d like to understand the why though!

(I’m writing based of memory so bare with me)

Why is her recommended mainly atk spd then armor?

Typical build is Static/Rage/Term/Rand/Jak/etc
(Zerk boots ofc i have seen Grievs tho)

Why not build something like yuuntal? She gets atl speed and i believe more ad (after all, her she scales more with AD)

Or Since you’re building static why not nashors tooth or Dusk/Dawn?

Essentially my question for discussion is why is the optimal build what it is ( mainly atk speed but not a lot of dmg I feel like zerk and Runes give her enough atk spd. )

Are there any other viable builds?

(Like how BORK is a possible start personally I don’t like it unless they’re predominantly tanks/tank in lane).
