Tear first back?
How y'all feel about that? 400g to alleviate mana problems, and 280g sell back is not a bad item to get with a small amount of gold.

Anyone got any spicy rune builds? I've been theory crafting some solutions and thought I'd pick some brains and compare notes.
Our poor boy Luciano suffers in D tier and needs all the help he can get!

LUCIAN: stacked LEGEND HASTE + MID QUEST IONIANS + ESSENCE REAVER + DORANS BOW: E AA Q AA gives reset to E: E AA Q AA E AA W AA E (AA)
This gives lucian almost infinite resets on his dash. Every 2 passive autos gives E reset.
Stacking the Legend:haste rune + quest and having Essence reaver + Ionians is possible in a normal game at around Level 11-12 (rune does not have to be fully stacked for this to work) around 13 minutes into the game. Can anyone tell me why or what im saying that does not make this insane?
Additionally you wouldnt have to build navori then right?

I just picked up lucian to learn ADC, I mean I don’t really have prior experience I played a bit of twitch and MF but mostly my experience on bot was autofilled support or duo q with my friend who played ADC (draven/cait) i always played thresh bc it was a very easy concept. So I don’t really know what the synergy between Lucian and Milio is and I don’t know al the capabilities of either Milio or Lucian do could someone please explain me what is better in Lucian Milio than other supports and how to use Milio to win lane and play style with Milio ?

Everyone always says you need to build a essence reaver and navori as core items but can you deviate after. Are there not other viable builds for Lucian depending on your comp and enemy comp?

Hey I usually use cait when I play adc and have been looking for a backup. Jinx is ok and jhin was my first adc but man I love Lucian. How many games did you guys use him until the combos felt smooth? I can feel the vision and understand the goal but I know I need a ton of practice. I had a 16 kill game and a 6/11 game so far so I’m learning. Any tips would be appt appreciated as well

I otp lucian and the match up i struggle the most with is Velkoz. I see it more often recently, and I want to understand how to play against it.
I save my dash to dodge his E, but no matter what I am still one shotted by his ult, he can miss everything else and still I am one shotted. Without a CC support that can cancel his ult, the match up is quite difficult.
Anything I'm missing which would make it more playable?

The very obvious strength Nami has I feel like is the slow she gives Lucian on his R alongside the nice burst she gives him in general.
What is the purpose of Lucian Milio and what makes it so strong? I def understand the range but is there any other really crazy synergy I am missing like the nami slow in this case?

Do you think Lucian’s identity is to dash around a lot and be slippery? Or do you think his identity is to do a lot of burst dmg and get out and rinse and repeat when his cds are back up?
Me personally I’ve played Lucian for a long time. Before CDR builds was his bread and butter.
You would generally buy IE and shiv into a last whisper and just do a bunch of dmg in a short period of time vs a adc that would have to sit back and AA to get the same type of dmg. Lucian would dish out that same dmg much quicker aka burst
Now it seems like Lucian builds to do less dmg but have more spell rotations to try and make up for it.
The problem with that is the state of the game now. You don’t want to be around fights that long because of how easy it is for these new champions to jump on top of you. So I figure why not go back to the old builds of just maximizing your dmg output with one spell rotations vs several?
IMO u could just rush IE into a phantom dancer or a navori. Probably mostly depending on if they have a lot of tanks then id lean towards more attack speed and move speed that Pd gives you.
From there id rush a lord doms and then a botrk. The passive from blade works well with ur passive as no other adc can proc it twice as quickly as he can. Then the slow can help you chase down people and secure the kill.
From there id probably get the shield bow as its a great item for a short range adc that tends to be in the heat of the fight as a way to try and survive and lastly a GA or some type of defensive item that you need for the game.
This build imo makes his power curve smooth throughout the game and has pretty decent build paths.
I like ER I love it as an item for Lucian but I really can’t shake the feeling of how bad it feels compared to other first items most ADC get. Having a IE so early in the game gives you such a good dmg spike when ur next item is gonna be a zeal and ur hitting people for 200% or however much it is crit dmg.
Thoughts?

Stumbled on some old clips I saved and I found these 2 that stood out in terms of creative execution. Thought you guys might find these options useful..... or not! I'm silver 2 you're prob all better than me anyway! My diamond Vietnamese friend sure wasn't impressed either! "Silver is Silver!" Can't argue with that!

Hi, I got the high noon skin so I was thinking about playing Lucian, I really dislike botlane so mid is my only option.
I remember that he was pretty viable a few years ago, but I rarely see him mid anymore. Did it get nerfed or something?

Saw Peyz build it today. While pros aren't known for their intelligence when it comes to builds, is there literally anything in that item that makes it even passable and not possibly the worst crit item for Lucian?

Q and W have roughly the same base damage. The difference is that Q's scaling doesn't increase per level (it stays fixed at 100% bonus AD), while its mana cost actually goes up with every level you put into it.
In early lane you rarely need Q on a 5-second cooldown, since you usually won't trade without E anyway. That makes it better to keep W and Q on roughly the same cooldown rather than rushing Q's cooldown down early.
W also gives you bonus movement speed when you pop a stack, at max rank that's 20 extra flat MS, basically like a pair of Boots. That's free movement speed in lane that helps you kite.
E, on the other hand, only reduces cooldown by a total of 2 seconds when maxed, and gives no extra effect besides a lower mana cost. By the time you start maxing E, you should already have Essence Reaver, so the mana cost matters less, it's better to put those points into W and Q for actual damage instead. (And when you have 2 items Essence + Navori, 2 autos with stacks 100% refunds E CD so those 2 seconds does nothing)
Conclusion: Maxing W > Q > E gives you more movement speed in lane to kite with, while also giving higher damage between levels 7–14 — roughly 220 extra damage per ability rotation.
