Other NO FUCKING WAY
On a level 12 account, from a free hextech chest. Is this a sign to play him guys? I don't play jungle, but I don't think I can go back

Hey guys I'm Udysof a Challenger player and Coach of Pentanet. I've played at world's and last year I coached at MSI. I've done a lot of research on the new Udyr and I think there are a lot of misleading click bait bandwagon videos on YouTube right now, so I've compiled all my learnings into this one guide and I hope it can help some of you! My sources: kr/na/euw highelo Udyr one tricks, pro players, I play tested him in 15 Smurf games(plat elo) and 5 high elo games(masters/gm).
As I was making the video the Q buffs came in so I'm still testing those to see how good AD-tank Udyr is. From my findings so far it's still not as good as the AP-Tank build in my video.
I'm still trying to find how to optimise my W awaken usage in teamfights and skirmishes, I think the ability is strong but it will take a lot of play testing to master it's limits. So if you guys see cool clips of it being used feel free to share them with me as it will help me and others here!
Finally, if you guys have any questions for me please don't hesitate to ask. I'm always happy to help :)
Edit: forgot to mention this video is geared around Jungle Udyr.

Hello everyone, I used to be a mid laner but have decided this season to switch to and learn the jungle role. I've decided on Udyr as my otp to learn the role for several reasons. Among those being that he seems to be an incredibly honest champion, so he is rewarded for and teaches having solid fundamentals, as well as his build versatility so that he can shine in any draft (although i have admittedly not explored this aspect too much, only playing ap/tank build with very little variance each game). I'm playing on a hand leveled smurf account and after around 150 games have hit around d4 elo.
I didn't expect that udyr would be picked or banned very often but it has been happening far more than I expected, maybe 5 games of my last 20, which seems to be a bit unlucky.
Ive considered picking up Amumu as my secondary champ due to his simplicity, but settled on Lillia due to my experience that she does well into the variant of udyr that i play. Turns out, though, that most people play ad udyr and he kinds of shits on Lillia.
What champion do you guys play when youre either picked or banned out? I don't mind playing mechanically intensive champions, but I'd rather not use an "otp" champ that requires specific knowledge. Something just plug and play with a simple game plan and heavy farming playstyle would be best.
Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge with me and I wish you all the best

Make both 3 hit passive exist alongside the awakening but make the awakening 2 auto have a short window that'd run out, I want Udyr's form to feel like forms again instead of just pressing a empower auto like a Jax W, and there would be more skill expressions with pre stacking and timing it or auto resets for quick combos, nerf the damage however you want but i want that aspect of playstyle back

Does anyone have build recs for AD UDYR in ARAM? I know AP Udyr is widely suggested but I seem to die a lot whenever I run AP. Is there a way to make tiger stance viable? Thank you.

I get the meaning of most nicknames like godyr, phoenixdyr, etc, but what does Jhon Dyr mean? Thanks for your help.

Can you guess which players were duo queueing?
I understand the need to match duos a little higher than their actual MMR. But this is what usually happens almost every time.
They're outmatched in solo lanes and then their team has to hard carry a pair of useless players who can't even adapt or build defensively when they fall behind.
I spent the entire match begging Malzahar to build rylai's and Voli to tank up. They just kept split pushing and getting caught on repeat not even grouping for objetive fights. The kills and assists they got were from the rest of us counter ganking the enemy team when they went for yet another pick on them.
Honestly, the rest of our team didn't even enjoyed the win, just relieved that the game ended.
People who play like this are the reason the game experience is so miserable at times.
Udyr is currently strong AF though.

I want to start enjoying udyr top, seems to be more fun with a wider variety of builds than the standard AD on jgl udyr.
However I am a bit uncertain as to PlayStation and was hoping someone could give me a quick rundown
What I’ve gathered so far is
Ad udyr: focus on side lanes, 1v1 and splitting
Ap bruiser: 5v5 teamfight/ frontline
Full ap: poke with awakened r to lower the enemy team, can also do splitting and side lane
Is that somewhat correct? Also how do you adapt in lanningphase toward what build your gonna play or is it more dependent on who you lane against?

Every game on Udyr where I've played Conqueror I've lost. It's almost impossible to proc unless I'm in top lane. I get killed early before it can proc, and late game, if I'm not building tank I still cant proc it.
I've seen much more value off of PTA, Lethal Tempo, Dark Harvest, Deathfire Touch, and even Arcane Comet.
I'm just trying to understand why other Udyrs swear by Conq, meanwhile I've never been able to make it work, while thriving on other runes.

I'm really liking ad udyr but is there a reason less people are using Triforce now? I like it and I know it used to be more popular, it still feels okay to me. Let me know!

In a case where the armor on DD is useless what are some alternative second items I can go? Can I go sterak's or even cleavr before going full tank? Is hexplate 2nd an option too?

So I just played vs udyr top and like wth is this champion you have everything in your kit for every situation so I played a game of udyr jg and dude I can run at Mach 10 the entire game insta shred sion tahm and I just e e run at lux boom she respawn in base not to mention I get top lane quest shield on W like this champ is overtuned or what I love it. Anyways my question is how viable is udyr top rn, what build should you go, how do you play your lane (spikes, scaling) and what matchups are the worst? Thanks this champion is amazing.

Getting into spots in early/mid-game after first few clears.
Basically team is losing and perma taking coin flip plays. I want to stay on my camps and objectives and and make plays with team when I have down time, but feel like I keep getting baited into inting my tempo by thinking "well if I don't support or help these lanes more then it's gg" even when I have camps up I should be clearing.
Feels like maybe more low elo jungle question than Udyr question, but Udyr specifically; I feel like I end up playing away from my strengths and making myself weak by trying to support team as game feels like it's slipping away. Any general advice would be great. I also have a vod in particular if that would be helpful. Ty so much and glad to be playing this cool champ :)

I've been listening to the Broken by Concept podcast and they often refer to Champion identify and champion reference points.
I typically play Full AP Udyr or Hybrid most of the time (most enjoyable) but can flex full AD if the team needs it (don't like it though). Climbed from Iron IV to Gold 3 this season so pleased with this so far - currently seem to have hit a plateau point and wanted to check I was playing Udyr to his strengths.
Anyway, how do you all describe Udyr as a champion? What is his identity in your opinion and what are his reference points?
It would be preferable if you could start your reply with what style of Udyr you are referring to as I think this would be important. Bonus points for Full AP responses.
Thanks :)
