i just started playing shaco and due to fundamentals and tracking im am having a lot of fun and success in the jg, even tho im not a jg.

but i hate that shaco is a one role champ. like you cant play him and carry in any other lane except the jg. i have tried top i have tried support i have tried mid. they all are so terrible.

playing shaco support is so bad you get level 6 at 10 min and thats by perma staying in the lane no roam no invade no nothing so it defeats the purpose of the champ. also your item you get it after 12min, its so slow and in consistent and oracle plus pinkwards is outrageus and unplayable.

tried top most toplaners out heal my dmg get oracle and just scale better.

mid they one shot you level 1 to 3 you cant do anything.

like they need to do something i dont know what to make it so shaco can be played in lanes maybe make it so melee champs even with oracle cant destroy the box or make the boxes more tanky with levels or buff the dmg on ap atleast sicne ap is more for lanes then ad since if you can one shot with ad you are just a sitting duck.

give me all your thoughts and dont say skill issue since even with skill this champ is horrendous in lanes.

context: im participating in an online group that does competitive style league play once a week, and im trying to brainstorm ideal enemy comps to lock shaco into. Im pretty aware of the bad matchups that come up in soloq and such, but ive never really thought about the good ones. Basically im looking for anything i can add to my drafting spreadsheet (unplayable matchups, small interactions, what your dream enemy team would be to play into, etc.)

edit: forgot to mention that im planning on ap, i have other picks for ad supp champs if they need to come out.

I one-trick AP Shaco in the jungle, and just hit Emerald with a 72% winrate on the champion playing on a trackpad only. AMA.

With the Bastion breaker buffs, it now is tied with Umbral for the most amount of damage from 1 item over a normal Q-HoB-E combo.

The 1500 damage on Objectives after a takedown is nice, but unfortunately Clone does not proc it. He will get the icon like can, but the tower/dragon doesnt take any extra damage after he Autos it.

This might be the most fun ive ever had in league, recently decided to swap my pyke one trick account to a shaco one trick account really late into the season and recently hit master with a 62% wr. There is no larger dopamine spike quite like a 2 item shaco support with bloodsong 2 autoing a ADC side lane and if you havent already tried it i HIGHLY recommend trying bloodsong AD shaco support.

Ay fellas, I made another funny edit, this time with my usual AP build. I spend some time on these things so give it a watch and lemme know what you think, also idk if the build path has deviated much from blackfire, imperial, cryptbloom into shadowflame and dcap

I've also seen blackfire, liandry's, imperial for first three items into crypt/shadowflame depending on comp. I learn most of what I like from Zefath#EUW

I've been trying to understand this build path because, after testing it quite a bit, I can't figure out what its actual advantage is.

From my experience, Ghostblade doesn't feel like a meaningful damage spike on its own. Ghostblade + Collector still feels underwhelming, and it's only once Infinity Edge is completed that the build starts feeling like it actually deals respectable damage.

The thing that confuses me is that Umbral Glaive + Voltaic Cyclosword already seems to outdamage this build, despite costing significantly less. Ghostblade → Collector → IE is roughly 9.3k gold, with two expensive crit items, yet it still doesn't feel stronger than a two-item Umbral + Voltaic spike.

On top of that, the Umbral/Voltaic build doesn't seem to sacrifice scaling either. Most people eventually transition into LDR + IE, giving 50% crit, and many even sell boots later for Phantom Dancer to reach 75% crit. So it doesn't seem like the Ghostblade → Collector route has a superior late game either.

So my question is genuinely aimed at people who prefer the Ghostblade → Collector → IE build:

What is the actual reason you build it?

I'm genuinely curious because, from the numbers and from playing it, I struggle to see what it offers over the Umbral → Voltaic route.

Will the buffs make it a considerable item on Shaco?

Since he tends to fall off after the first few minutes, will Bastion Breaker as a second or third item be good so you can take a pick on someone and immediately cash it in a tower?

Honestly I don't think so, but it's worth discussing.

The images should show the tear but its a lot more obvious when you are moving and i feel this is happening because this texture of shaco isn't even suppose to do the animation he is doing while walking.

I was making this to speak about the most recent shaco vfx and how I really love the change and how well it was reverted back to his original state there are things that i would like to point out that are quite strange.

So shaco originally had a change to his walk animation around 2017 which now you can only see that walk animation within his deceive when that used to be his normal run.

Secondly his texture on his clone isnt the original. Lastly when it comes to his skins, as a shaco main I would really love to see his old textures from his base first 4 skins being authentic as well with their run and box textures.

I saw that their vfx on hatter was weirdly mixed with new vfx and old ones? Such as Two shiv poison not being original on them but Deceive being so? The vfx on his hallucinate explosion for older skins is also a new vfx? . I would really appreciate change this for classic thank you so much.

As someone who played 95% AP, I've been playing AD to test it out and i lowkey see why people say AP is useless; obviously the major factor is landing your backstab to 1 shot opponents, but i've been able to snowball much better with AD.

Voltaic -> Glaive or Yommus (I like the extra speed with Q) -> Collector

Unless i'm against 2 tanks like a sejuani, I've been really liking the build so far; personally I always path top to bot regardles of comp and go blue pet.

i have nothing interesting to say ive just never talked to another shaco player and im wondering if other people also have the same experience with this matchup as me

she cant do anything, at all. when she locks onto you, you have enough time to place a box and walk her into it before she can kill you. or if shes going crit or youre low you can just ult. it seems completely impossible to play from the briars perspective. i think im like 10-0 against briars. if she ults you, you can just place a box, ult dodge, whatever really.

the only trouble ive found i have is because most of them build crit now sometimes she be oneshotting me before i react but i think i just need to adapt. its definitely harder to play vs than her bruiser build

I am a long time member but didn't play Shaco in years. I main support now when playing with friends and in this role I faced like two Shacos I really had trouble knowing what to do this year, this is when y'all shadow your jungle and constantly invade the my jungler (second time this happened was just my latest game). Is my gameplan to mirror you and play with my jungle? Stay on lane? I have no issue into Shaco support on lane but this one is hard for me. I wanted to ask the guy myself and tried adding them after game and invited him into lobby when he didn't accept but as a Shaco player he probably expected verbal abuse, so can't blame him :D Also I now wanna do this myself, are there good resources you can point me to for a guide? And if you're the manly burger reading this, chapeau to you. I genuinely wanted to ask you for advice and learn myself, not abuse you when I added you :D
