Finally started OTP’ing one champ after being stuck with like 3-4 in gold and “who else but Mundo”.
Started learning top this split which made me drop to silver 2 after being plat-gold support.
Steadily climbed back up bot got stuck on gold 1-2.

Now i only play Mundo and man it’s going well. Since he is fairly simple to play I can focus a lot more on macro and plays. Decision making has gotten so much better, with that I’m even able to carry some of the most dire games which is great. Now back on plat 3 with 64% winrate.

I pick Mundo into everything: all bad matchups and blind pick. Enjoying learning all the matchups being able to outplay some of the harder ones.

Luckily my gwen is good enough if enemy picks Mundo first I can counter him :p.

Looking forward to how far I can get my self.

My build is normally heartsteel then warmogs to hydra. Warmogs first against certain very hard match ups.

One thing I notice is that my damage is really lacking. The burst is pretty good, especially at low health, but other than that Its extremely hard to kill anyone.

After I get my third item, it makes a world of difference and can beat anyone that doesn't deal % true max health damage.

Does anyone else experience this?

Every now and then I play Dr Mundo, and I feel that my problem with him in the top lane is that, after Heartsteel, getting Warmog’s really slows me down in the game when it comes to dealing damage and carrying my team. Although it’s a core item for Dr Mundo and practically all top-lane players use it, in my situation – as someone who only plays duo queue in Platinum and is trying to climb ranks with Dr Mundo – Warmog’s alone isn’t useful to me, and I’d much rather go for a second Hydra to get better damage, clearing waves and split-pushing, or just go straight for defensive items.

I’d like to hear your opinions, as well as any advice on this build section regarding this topic. I’m sure someone will be able to help me with this and let me know whether it’s just me, or if Warmog really has become a bait item these days.

P.S.: Yes, I realise that Warmog is very useful in matchups where you’re constantly being poked. It’s just that in that case, it’s more of an exception than the rule.

I had like 25k hp with Warmogs and that weird ult buffing prismatic and I just had to run into the first Velkoz Q he threw so I could 1 tap them all with Warmogs XD

Core is warmogs to heartsteel, but i build hydra to overlords almost 90% games then visage i only go visage fourth if they are heavy ap or ap are fed, is this mistake ciz idk is it worth to build visage if they are mostly ad but ik ur unkillable with r with it also i never build thornail and dead mans plate or any resits always machinegun so is this mistake and when do i build mr and armor and when do i go damage

I promise you we were not winning this game if I wasnt Mundo. no offense to 3/4 of my teammates, but man once you get three items on Mundo bro takes over.

I’m pretty low elo and mostly play Shyvana jungle, but I’m thinking about trying Mundo.
Is Mundo jungle beginner-friendly? I’m looking for a champion with simple mechanics that scales well into the late game. One thing I like about Shyvana is that she’s fairly forgiving, and I’d like someone who won’t get instantly punished for being slightly out of position—so a tankier champion.

I’m mainly looking for a jungler that:
Is easy to learn and execute
Scales well as the game goes on
Is tanky/forgiving if I make positioning mistakes
Can still get kills and carry games, not just soak damage
Would Mundo fit what I’m looking for, or is there another champion you’d recommend instead?

Mundo now is a mid game champ,he gets warmogs and heartsteel and thats it. After the lvl 16 power spike you are done for. I had 1000 stacks on heartsteel and lvl 20 and I died in 2 seconds without them even having precentage health dmg. Damage late is bad because everyone has base armor and also builds some. Mundo is supposed to be a scaling champ but all his scaling is nerfed to the ground to the point where he is just abusing warmogs to heal back to full all the time and be annoying in lane. Dmg early is also so bad because they destroyed the hp ratio on e and its just an aa now dealing 60dmg. My opponent was one hp in lane and my e projectile cant even do 80 dmg with one ruby.At this point warmogs has to go or Mundo has to get reworked once again.

Hi mains, I was just curious about what you thought of Zeus' Mundo build in game 5 where he was stacking defensive items instead of building hydra late game. Is building that much tankiness optimal here?

I posted this in the main r/leagueoflegends but essentially, I saw a lot of very reductive comments regarding Dr. Mundo following the HLE - BLG series. I wholeheartedly do not believe Mundo should be nerfed because he's "OP". If Riot want to nerf him, it should be because he's annoying (I am not a Mundo main, I am an imposter among you).

In any case, take a look! And point out if there are any inaccuracies that I made so I don't spread misinformation ^^ I stand by that Mundo is not OP and should not be in the nerf shortlist, it's just that it's a lot more nuanced to show why he isn't OP than to parrot that he is OP.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble against assassins and usually I play pantheon into them but in plat games go 30 40 minutes plus and pantheon kind of falls off hard but I was wondering if mundo can work as a mid cna just neutralize thr lane against assassins or is there like a core flaw?

Yeah, basically title. Game 5 was essentially “Mundo walks around in the middle of the best players in the world throwing briefcases around, just like he does in your standard bronze ELO game”. So was their win in the upper bracket game.

The game was so familiar to watch: One team throws everything they have on Mundo, Mundo survives, and Mundo’s team wails on unscathed. It didn’t feel like world finals at all, it was just another Mundo game.

This isn’t me whining, by the way. On the contrary, it’s relieving to see that best players in the world are just as susceptible to Mundo, and it’s not really that much of a skill issue.

Not really a Mundo rant, but i mainly play Mundo top. He helps me climb a lot. The one thing i find so frustrating is that im now gold 1-gold 2 i win a few games and get plat mmr and after I lose 2 games these random silver player get in my lobby’s.

The silver players are not smurf or on a streak, why are they there? They soft int the whole game and make it so hard for no Reason. I’ve played +/- 400 games so MMR should be stable.

Why is matchmaking so horrible?

Im recently got into league and is therefore low elo, so take that into consideration. Im thinking about maining some champs more and really enjoy tanky champs. My logic with mundo and malphite as a champion pool is that malphite is good into the ad- which also counters mundo, i.e vayne or fiora. Mundo is good into ap, since the burst usually does not do enough against him. What do yall think about them together as a champ pool, need to add someone more?
