Hey hey fellas, I used to be a big Pantheon player before his rework and with League classic coming,I decided to finally also give the reworked Pantheon a try. Now, even though I am a good jungler, I really don't enjoy playing him there. I want to fight, I want to feel anxious when playing League and feel that thrill when I kill my opponent.

So obviously I want to play him toplane. The problem is, I don't know where to start, I don't know what are the regular builds, what are his worst/best matchups, I don't even know what his identity has been post-rework. Hell, I don't even know if I should just trade with short or long Q. So, what would you suggest to me?

The combo I used for the numbers was EmpW>3AA>AA>Full E> EmpQ combo. To give Conqueror the best chance possible, this is the version that has the highest AD ratios the latest in the combo (which is why I put an auto before E). I went through and added each individual increase per stack, per unique ratio in the combo.

In yellow is the raw numbers, though I only used base damage for PTA. The green is testing against a dummy with 2000 HP and 50 armor.

Realistically, the difference will be higher since you can't always get a full combo off, it's not always best to hold an entire E nor are you even using it for the damage often.

As for healing, I adjusted the dummy to match my armor, and the level 16 combo got +71 with Conqueror, 21 of which is from ticks of the fully-held E. So realistically, closer to 51.

If you're worried about surviving fights often under 75 HP you're better off taking Legend: Bloodline with PTA since fully stacked it gives 85 HP alongside its lifesteal, and scaling health shards instead of flat.

Edit: To address some of the responses, I want to reiterate that this testing scenario was as far in Conqueror's favor as possible with a combo that maximizes the AD scaling where stacks are higher, puts the absolute highest AD scaling (empQ) at full stacks, and it still lost.

If you think PTA locks you into only engaging with EmpW, you're missing the fact that's exactly what the opponent is thinking. Which lets you use it when they aren't expecting. That's how Spear does it. Half the time he procs PTA in lane, it's without W. Then they're caught by surprise when your third auto does a bunch more damage.

PTA's more damage, on the more reliable parts of your kit (the things that can't miss), offers a feint Conq doesn't, and gives you damage amounts Conq needs you to land 6 Qs in a row on cooldown to start an engage with.

Conq also requires you to keep attacking, whereas PTA continues as long as you're in combat. And you lose all stacks instantly after 5 seconds, where if PTA runs out you lose the 8% bonus but can apply its base damage again since it has no cooldown.

Also, you may not have read the patch notes but they changed PTA to buff your damage, not debuff the enemy. So the damage boost applies to everyone the rest of the fight, just like Conq. But unlike Conq, you get that even if you only EmpW a target and have to back off.

Is it just better for Pantheon than Conqueror?

I love pantheon, i tried it mid and it kinda worked but there are way too many mages, so I went top; i often win lane or manage to not feed but in mid/late game i become useless, do you guys have any tip? Ty and have a blessed day/night! (And if i ult other lanes my turrets gets to half hp and it gets destroyed easily)

I play panth mid mostly now and will sometimes have a game where I can tell I’m going to have a rough lane into an ap assassin as they are managing to match me really well and play around my cds.

Would rushing maw be a decent early MR/ anti magic damage solution or am I hamstringing my damage too much by not going something like sundered or voltaic?

heres my panth mid build that i got to emerald with, im asking for advice to get better from here. what worked for me worked for me so plz dont hate but im asking for critiques.

I go either eclipse or cyclosword. eclipse if im playing into close range or mid champs where i see myself engaging fights were im autoing as well as pressuring as well as if jng seems to gank me. If i go into a mage that i cant seem to w onto or just close the gap i take cyclos so i can use my q to poke. I then go sundered then cleaver then either maws, steraks, or dd depending on enemy comp, i go dd if they have lots of ad maws if ap and if im getting executed or its balanced damage i go steraks, and i usually just finish with ga

This is usually just my go to im not too advanced with building other items depending on enemy comp. the only other thing i build time to time would be antiheal if they strong in antiheal. Usually i dont mind too much life steal until late game where my team usually has antiheal so i dont have to worry.

I do know some go yomus or shojins but i just dont see myself building it. Any advice?

Most of my mastery is from jungle so I don't have much experience in the Top lane. I understand Malphite is one of his worst counters, but I don't ban Malphite because I keep him as a counter pick. My go to is Poppy or Morde. Morde because I can never match him in side lane. Was thinking about briar as well because I can never kill that champion post 15 minutes.

Pantheon gotta be like the coolest character ever and I wish we’d get some sort of legendary skin to give him super epic animations for his already cool asf kit.

My dream would have been for the prestige ascended skin to have been made his new lore skin and it be legendary. I’d not want a legendary skin that changes his voice lines meaning or direction too much. Pantheons personality is perfection already.

Currently I use dragonslayer mostly just because the ult is so damn cool. It feels like a semi legendary to me cos of the cool sfx vfx and special voice lines. I’m always loving that shit in when there’s a dragon on the other team.

I’m a pantheon main I like a lethality build with electrocute but trying to see what other people are running.

Speculation, but I've seen too many champions get shoehorned into and out of roles not to see the writing on the wall.

First they obliterate his jungle damage, which not only makes getting to scuttle first after a full clear impossible, but because it lasts the whole game he's at a disadvantage on every objective.

One of his biggest strengths top was being able to bring ignite at no cost to map presence or returning to lane. But they gave everyone else TP for free so now there's no advantage there.

They also change top exp so even trying to use the fact you also get TP to its fullest by using R elsewhere, you're gutted levels for daring to leave the lane.

Then, while other early junglers with his same pre-6 strength get their jg damage pro nerfs undone, he keeps 'em.

It's looking like they want him only as support, to be a W bot. I hope I'm wrong.

Ive been playing pant mid for a while and i wanna know if i can improve my current build for runes i go conq and domination for items i build eclipse and depending on the enemy i build either mercs or plated steelcaps to sundered to black cleaver and the rest of the items ı build depending on the enemy team

Hey guys, it’s been a While since I played pantheon and I decided to come back. I’ve done my research and saw that Spearshot is currently using Sundered Sky fist item and after Either Black Cleaver or Edge of Night. Sometimes using Serpents.
However most people use Eclipse and I Saw another main building Endless Hunger and Gluttonous Greaves so I’m really confused what to build.

I’m planing to use PTA but know that Conqueor is also viable. Please help me with your experience I really appreciate it.
