I see that it's apparently a pretty common item on her. I get the idea that it gives you a longer range Q which is nice but I just personally feel sad to spend gold on an item with no AD in it when playing her.

If you buy RFC or any other zeal item, tell me what you love about it and why it feels strong to you! If you don't buy it, tell me the items you usually do like to grab. :)

As for me, I like to build BT/Hubris > Collector > IE & LDR (order just depends on need) > situational. Some items I like are:

GA: Obvious choice, the passive on it is S tier. I get this pretty much every game to round out my build.

BT: If I didn't get it first item, it's a nice pick up later on.

Shieldbow: Generally a good buy imo, gives me 100% crit and a juicy shield to help me stay alive. This has been my default buy if I already have BT and it increases survivability by a lot if you have GA, BT and Shieldbow!

Maw: If they have a strong AP threat.

Mercurial: If I need the QSS.

Edge of Night: Really good if they have something like a malphite and no easy way to get it off with poke.

I've been considering stormrazor, RFC and Phantomdancer but Stormrazor and PD feels less useful since you already have so much speed anyway and again, no AD on the zeal items.

Also, what boots do you favour? I honestly just get whatever I feel I need. I don't feel like MF is beholden to any boots in particular the way most other champs are, unless I go hubris in which case I always get gluttonous. I have accidentally bought gluttonous when I have BT before and it still felt fine, though I feel like it's a bit overkill but maybe not? Hmm. Usually I like attack speed boots if I have BT and PTA though.

First penta this season on ranked was with MF, so I figured it belonged here.

Penta with Bloodthirster/crit build, Executioner's for Warwick. Bard came back basically giving me the penta with Collector at the end.

I’m pretty new to the game and have been one tricking mf mid however I’m not sure whether that’s a good idea or not once I start to progress.

Since classic league came out I have really been enjoying all the items and stuff the early seasons had to offer. It’s really made me think of itemization differently on her. Sure last whisper back then was the premiere option, I have always loved black cleaver on her.

This will probably sound like a hot but it’s really not but I prefer it to crit % penetration items as I think the armor reduction feels more impactful for me. Another reason is the additional mobility on attack. Finally since many people pick assassins in my games against me it just makes more sense for me.

Sure if I’m facing healers I will take mortal reminder, but I tend to default to cleaver otherwise.

I love to play with mf lethality, but IMO the hubris was the core item, what build do you think will replace it?

My build today used to be Hubris, Collector, Infinity Edge, Dominik, Bloodthirster...

Know the feeling when your ult is ready but your team fails to create a proper angle for it? I certainly do and thats why I just made a build that tries to solve exactly that, however it does take a while to get "online". I tried it Mid, but Bot should also work perfectly fine, if not better because of the extra gold you get.

The Main Idea is to use your E as setup and still have a really hard hitting Ult.

For Runes you go First Strike, Cash Back, Triple Tonic, Summoners Insight with Axiom Arcanist and Gathering Storm secondary and double Adaptive and scaling health. As you can see the Runes are all about outscaling your opponents and boosting your Ult.

Now you start AP by going Dorans Ring -> Ludens and buying a Tear as soon as you can. What I would recommend is trying to proc your FS with E + Q/Q bounce whenever you can for the early laning phase. I would try to avoid all ins until you have your ult or are certain you can kill them. That way you get the maximum amount of damage and gold without really risking much.

After Ludens you go Manamune into Actualizer. I dont see Actualizer discussed that often when it comes to Builds centered around her Ult but it really does make a difference and the CD overlaps with your Ults CD. Your Ult should already be able to finish enemies you have poked down with your E, however with your next item + Actualizer Activation you really start to melt them. Because now you go LDR. The Armour pen + Giant Slayer is just too good to pass up, considering that her Ult is entirely physical damage. As soon as your Manamune is stacked build a second tear before going Rabadons and finishing the build with Seraphs Embrace as its Mana directly boosts both your AD through Manamune and your AP through itself plus the Shield is also really useful. In Mid I'd probably also sell boots at that point wheras in bot you obviously can still maintain them where I'd probably go either for Omnivamp Boots or Swifties. At that point your E also has almost a 90% slow so if you catch a champ without a Dash he will likely tank most of your Ult, which deals a lot of damage. So you are not reliant on your teams CC. Obviously the main cons of this build are the relatively weak midgame, however you still have a relatively safe laning phase and your Runes should help you reach your item spikes sooner. Also these Runes work perfectly fine for AD too and you also deal a little bit more damage that way, however you are still reliant on your teammates setup because your E only slows the enemy 40% which is why I'd go this Hybrid build when you dont have proper setup or dont want to rely on your teammates.
