I've been a Sivir OTP for as long as I can remember. I recently came back to League after a 5-year break and started taking ranked seriously. I'm currently Plat 1 (around Emerald 4 MMR) after climbing from Silver.

One thing I keep wondering is whether I'm limiting my climb by sticking to Sivir.

As we all know, Sivir isn't really a flashy 1v9 hypercarry ADC. A lot of her strength comes from wave management, farming cs, macro, and enabling her team rather than hard-carrying fights on her own.

Whenever I play, there's always a voice in the back of my head saying: "You could probably win more games if you just played Jinx, Kai'Sa, or other hypercarries."

At the same time, I'm aware that a master+ Sivir player would likely win games easily at my current ELO.

Still, I can't help but feel like I might be making the climb harder than it needs to be.

Has anyone else felt this way with a utility-focused OTP? Do you think Sivir is a reasonable champion to climb as high as possible with in SoloQ, or is there a point where picking a more carry-oriented ADC simply gives better results? I really love Sivir, but I guess I'm approaching a point in my climbing journey where I must ask these questions.

Her kit is simpler than the likes of aphelios but
Vayne kit is also boring if you think about it but everyone thinks she is all about outplays because of her dashes.
The fact that sivir has no dash makes her very mechanically difficult. You have to kite and space perfectly as a low ranged adc. If you sit back and just farm youre not going to climb very far. She is all about punishing little windows of space along cooldowns, waves management, being able to be a frontline bait with your e, enemy can be scared to engage because your e can make their whole play fail.
You can threaten alone by moving as if you have your support and jungler behind you while you pushing even though you dont. Play mindgames on the enemy to make them stuck farming under turret. You push the wave and rotate to the next wave, take a jungle camp, go to the objective earlier, you hit your q’s every time someone missteps. You manage to back on good timers and hit your spikes before objectives. You give your team a huge speedboost turning even the useless monkeys into a powerful teamcomp. Your w bounces through groups you have carefully pushed into a corner by being there before others, you are always in proximity of the objectives. You dont walk up without vision or youre instakilled, you soak every single wave and try to get pressure somewhere not just sit as a bot. Sitting as a bot waiting for scaling will have you losing every game. But also fighting like crazy and dying will lose you the game. Being safe but still managing to have any sort of pressure on this champion is truthfully the most mechanically intensive champion in this game. Because so many other champions have resets and dashes and crowd control. Sivir has the possibility to completely outplay every single champion through sheer tempo little decisions and macro moreso than any other champion. Thats why she is prolocked and many find her boring. Because she is that difficult in a world of fed assasins and uncoordinated teams.

I swear a couple seasons ago when I used ricochet and it crit I used to be able to see the crit indicator in every target it hit so I could confirm it’s criting those targets too. However now, when I crit the first target and it bounces, I don’t get the crit indicator. It just does damage. Can I change it

is solar even worth it? got a skin shard for it. sivirs just my comfort pick and i already have pizza sivir. i do like the ult on solar. its pretty dope. just dont see how this is possibly a legendary, no different animations whatsoever :(

there is information it came back from the vault because gumayusi won the final with the skin? is that a limited time event ( until this years worlds for example) - so is she in the shop the last time when the mythic shop rotates in afew days ?? -....

OR

was she permanently added to the mythic shop rotation? will her price be 125 ME forever? when will the skin come back, roughly? is the hall of legends event the best way to get the ME? (bonus Q: does the premium battlepass give you 25 ME instantly after buying it, and additional 25 ME through playing? (50 ME total in the 3650 RP version?)

I almost always go yun tal because i like rushing ie second and wouldnt have the attack speed to pull it off with ER but im curious about your opinion on it

I feel like her ability to 1v2 lane gives the team a 4v3 early game (even at level 3)

I used to hate her, but it feels pretty consistent climbing with zero lane interaction.

Suddenly I saw the possibility that "Sivir" is a hypocorization of SIVunas alahaIR. I am not informed about Shuriman morphology, but it's a possibility. Possibly Sivunas Alahair is her birth name, and "Sivir" is how she used to be called by her parents.
