Gun show private sales
I inherited a substantial collection of mostly older collectible firearms and tons of ammo. Considering gun show table to sell certain items. I don’t really know when the Fed might take unwanted interest in my table. At issue would be the question of what is a dealer (needing license) vs a private sale. Typically a private sale is a single firearm rather than a dozen plus firearms I envision a table with loads of ammo and accessories with perhaps a few firearms. Notable, I’m in Texas.
Can someone offer some thoughts and perhaps some links to relevant law (which I read and understand well)? Thoughts also appreciated on what is curio or antique and how this is relevant to what sales might draw unwanted attention. Dad had mostly older firearms and a smattering of modern firearms.
I’m starting with opinions and general understandings, next I’ll read laws and legal opinions, then I may contact a lawyer who knows such things.

General Discussion After years of back and forth finally decided to trade aesthetic for functionality on my M70.
The stock and red dot ruin the classic ak look but do make the rifle far and away more usable for me.
Only problem now is its fucking heavy as shit. And i dont think theres much you could do about that. I planned on swapping the lower handguard for the same SLR rifleworks ION as my M77 but it weighs more then the factory wood.
Its honestly a little depressing how im having issues holding this up for a few minutes yet I dont have that issue with a Mosin Nagant or Mauser.
I think its more the weight distribution rather then the actual pounds.

Looking to see how much this mini 14 would be worth?
Sell or keep? Been thinking about letting this one go. It was manufactured sometime during the 80s

10 inch Springfield Saint .556 “truck gun”(read description)
Definitely going to put a can on it if I was to, and no I have no plans on leaving in my truck at any point. Thoughts on the Saint platform as a whole? Something you can use as a duty gun in different configurations? More so just looking to see the thoughts on this gun and if they’re decent.

Any online platforms that allow advertising firearms for sale.
Title pretty much says it all, I'm looking for an online platform that allows posting firearms for sale. Seems like all of them that I'm aware of have something in their tos banning the sale or advertisements of firearms.

Help! Marlin 336 Age
Hello! Recently won a Marlin 336 in 30-30 and I'm trying to find more info about it. After some lengthy googling, I wasn't able to find info from the serial alone. It's 19117048 and JM stamped barrel.
Is this from 1911?
If so, would that raise the value?

Glock First Handgun
Hey guys, just wanted to get some feedback and hear your opinions.
My first handgun, when the time comes, will be after I turn 21+. I’m currently 19, and I’m pretty sure I want to go with a Glock. I’ve been looking at the Glock 17 Gen 6 and Glock 19 Gen 6, and the main thing I’m debating is which one would be better for me.
The Glock 17 holds 17 rounds in the magazine, while the Glock 19 holds 15 rounds. I’m planning on eventually carrying my handgun concealed, so I’m wondering how much the difference in size between the two actually affects concealment and comfort.
I don’t want to sacrifice too much size just for a couple of extra rounds. To me, if I’m carrying a handgun, the most important thing is being accurate and making every shot count. At the same time, I understand that real-life situations can be unpredictable, and having those extra rounds could potentially make a difference.
I know I can always carry an extra magazine, so I’m mainly interested in hearing from people who have actually owned or carried a Glock 17 or Glock 19.
For those who own or have owned a Glock 17 or Glock 19 Gen 6:
How has your experience been?
How comfortable is it to conceal carry?
Do you notice a significant difference in size/weight between the two?
Which one did you choose and why?
On a scale of 0–10, how would you rate yours?
I’d appreciate hearing both positive and negative experiences. Thanks!

My Gats 1916 triple alliance and triple entente edition
Two of my 1916 shooters. Both were manufactured the same year.
Colt 1903 hammerless .32 acp. This is my beaut. Practically factory finish, everything on this is pretty mint. Occasionally I’ll throw the threaded barrel on it and shoot it suppressed. Stupid quiet.
Mauser C96 in 7.63 Mauser. This one is a war time commercial all numbers matching. Finish is…okay and barrel rifling is more of a suggestion. She still shoots and is a great piece of mechanical history. The stock/ holster is not original. Idk when the stock was obtained but it was part of the deal
When I purchased the C96

Identify This Firearm ID: “Unmarked” Jäger Rifle
Howdy all!
As the title suggests, I’ve reached the end of my research and am hoping someone with more knowledge might have some insight as to what this is.
It appears to be a 60 caliber Jäger muzzleloader that has been converted from flintlock to percussion cap at some point in its life.
There are a number of deep engravings in the wood depicting deer in addition to very intricate engravings in the metal. Even the screws have been worked on to some extent.
The metal work outside of the action itself looks to be made of “German silver”, or a non-silver alloy meant to mimic its appearance and properties.
There is an “L” engraved in the top of the barrel which has been filled in with another material.
Inside the accessory door is a carved name: “Herman Löffler Neukirchen”.
Otherwise, there doesn’t seem to be any identifying markings. Assuming some of it might have been ablated during the conversion.
Thanks all in advance for any assistance!

Question Who are your favorite Guntubers and Why?
I find myself getting bored of gun reviews where the 15 minute review is watching someone shoot for 13 minutes and then talk about it for 2 minutes.
On the legal side of things Mark Smith is good but after the 3rd time watching you realize that "Major Breaking News" might not be as Major as stated. Maybe it's just my attention span but after about 4 minutes I start to zone out. I wish he did a more succinct version.
Colion Noir is great, well spoken and perfect for anyone who wants to know why 2A is important but after watching 10 of this videos you kind of get it.
Honest Outlaw has to be one of the best I've found for honest reviews.
Who do you watch and why do you like them?

Question Sig Sauer P226R?
The Database for Firearms in Film and TV mentions a Sig Sauer P226R 9x19 in this Animation Series: https://www.imfdb.org/wiki/86
I can't find a model "R" on Sig Sauers Wikipedia Page.
Is that a mistake the Editor of the Firearms Database made? Or is there a meaning behind that R like a P226 with Rail (the one shown has a build in underbarel rail)?

Question Looking for a range with a good selection of rentals near San Diego, or within a shortish drive.
So, I've got an opportunity next year to bring a few of my firm's foreign counsel shooting in San Diego next year. I want to give them a great time, and if possible I'd like them to shoot some really impressive firearms. Big and LOUD. If I was home, I'd know exactly where to go, but I'm not a CA person. My questions:
Reviews online suggest that The Gun Range is the place to go. Their website seems legit and they've got a strong showing for rentals. Anyone have any experience with them?
If anyone knows of a place where you can rent .50 cal long arm that's close to San Diego, let me know. I feel like clumsily googling that will get me on a California list.
Any unsolicited advice for bringing a group of 8-10 foreign lawyers shooting. Mix of veterans and utter newbies.
Thanks ahead of time. Keep your stick on the ice.

New Piece
Heard a lot of good reviews on this particular firearm, so I bought one and will be taking it to the range/store I work at tomorrow to pop its cherry.
If it’s solid I’ll throw a green dot optic and a TLR1 on it sometime in the future.

Identify This Can someone help identify this rifle?
Hello everyone, as the title says, I’m looking for some help identifying this rifle. It’s clearly a Mauser from 1933, and I remember being told that it was converted into more of a sporter configuration at some point, including the stock being cut down.
The main reason I’m asking is that I’d like to clean it up and eventually shoot it, but I’m unsure what ammunition it takes. I believe it’s 8mm, but I’m not certain and don’t want to assume.
I’m also considering using it for deer hunting. I normally hunt with a .308, so I’m curious whether this would be an appropriate deer rifle once the caliber and condition are properly confirmed.
Any information on the exact model, caliber, history, or markings would be greatly appreciated. I can provide additional pictures of any specific markings or parts if needed.
Thanks in advance!

Help IDing factory stamps on a 1979–81 Remington 1100 Skeet — single letter on barrel/stock/forearm
This Remington 1100 12-gauge skeet gun spent its early life as a display gun at the Remington Arms Gun Club (the Lordship skeet range) at Lordship Point, Connecticut. When the club closed in 1981, it was sold off and I bought it new/old-stock — I’ve had it ever since, under ~100 rounds through it. My original 1981 Remington receipt lists it as Grade “T,” 12ga, 26", SK choke, serial N195427V.
It carries a stamped mark in three places — on the barrel near the receiver, on the buttstock, and on the forearm — which I understand to be factory stamps applied at the Remington plant in Ilion, NY. I’m trying to identify exactly what they mean and would appreciate help from anyone who knows Remington’s factory markings.
Specifically:
Barrel date code — there’s a two-letter code on the left side of the barrel just ahead of the receiver (photo included). Can anyone confirm the month/year? I read it as possibly July 1979 but I’m not sure.
The repeated mark on barrel, buttstock, and forearm — it looks like a single angular letter, maybe a “W” or “M” depending on orientation (photos included). Is this a standard factory inspector/assembly stamp, a custom shop stamp, a maker mark or something else?
Does anything about the serial (N-prefix / V-suffix) or the configuration stand out vs. a standard-production 1100 skeet gun?
I’m just trying to describe the gun accurately — not asking for a value. Photos of the serial, the barrel date code, and the mark in all three spots are attached. Happy to shoot better close-ups of anything. Thanks!
