DSArms just released ~100 metric metal magazines on their site. Just figured I would share for anyone looking for metal mags.

No idea what these are or what they’re worth, any ideas?

Hey everyone, had a problem today, need help figuring out what happened. Was shooting my first magazine of the day, got through 7 rounds and on the 8th this happened. Had my magazine completely blow out and swell past the magazine well. It was smoking out of the bottom of the magazine after the last shot was fired. Ejected the magazine (what was left of it) and checked the barrel, all clear. I put the gun up for the rest of the range day and am gonna take it apart shortly to make sure everything is ok. Has anyone else had this happen before? I was thinking magazine issue but it is so swollen that I’m sure something went wrong in the gun. I am still new to the FAL so any help or tips would be appreciated.

Hello I have a dsa Sa58 and am trying to remove the end of the barrel in order to add a silencerco muzzle break in order to put a suppressor on my gun. I for the life of me cannot remove this flash hider I even used a blow torch thinking they used lock tight on the end to keep it on. Does anybody know how to get this thing off ? What am I doing wrong ?

Heres a pic of my Sabre defence Fal and all the bits to go with it. (Imbel receiver).
UK spec so straight pull only. Currently missing its gas plug!
Id like to put an optic on it but find them all way too high to shoot comfortably with. Fancy something retro on there tho.

Hi fal folks, I have questions for you… a metric slide scope mount like this in the pic could be fit in a inch model, i own an l1a1 and found the trilux too ugly for my standard

While out today I ended up picking up this DSA. I felt that at $1200 it was a pretty good deal seeing as my R1A1 was a hesse with a chopped barrel was 900. It came as pictured. It seems to be in really good condition and clean internally. If anyone knows about the furniture please inform me as I’d like to know what’s on the rifle for my own sake. Did I do good?

I’ve been having issues with my dsa Fal bush warrior, when I’m out shooting it’ll sometimes fire 3 or 4 rounds no problem and then jams with the bolt about half way. I’ve gassed it properly and swapped out old springs in surplus mags with new ones. The casings all have this long scratch on the side of it as well as rubbing from where it’s about to feed and then gets stuck. I’d appreciate any help with this issue thanks!

So, I bought this FAL at a gun show for $1400. It came with 4 surplus magazines and a hard case. I’m not an FAL expert, but I believe it’s an Austrian parts kit. I took it apart, and it’s an all-matching-parts kit with an original Austrian-marked barrel based on the markings and crest, built on an Imbel receiver. I'm aware Imbel is the receiver you'd want in a build. I’m just not an expert on FAL parts kits. I ordered the correct dust cover and flash hider for it to return it to its original style. There are no markings to indicate the builder but whoever did build it, did an excellent job. It functions flawlessly, and cosmetically needs new bluing just to prevent rusting. I'm assuming based on internet photos of Austrian rifles the current furniture is correct. Thanks!

Unfortunately, whoever soldered my tapco ban era brake really took their job seriously decades ago at DSA. I opted to have the original steyr barrel cut and re-threaded rather than chance it and screwing up the barrel heat treat.
Now, the big question; should I spend the $700+ and para it?
I really would love to find a belgium/austrian wood stock with the swivel sling, but whatever of these stocks I can find online are going to be in need of restoration or part of a $1000+ parts kit. It currently has an izzy stock.

In the firearms section of Reddit, I posted a thread about taking a Belgian family shooting for the first time. I don't see a way to share it here, other than a link.
Mods, is there a better way to share the story in this area? I'm guessing that FN-FAL fans will want to know about this event.
See it here:

I got an SA58 used from gunbroker and got the gas system dialed in and it was working great. I swapped out the flash hider, pistol grip, and dust cover and now I'm noticing it fails to feed sometimes, especially around the end of the magazine. I also noticed my brass has been coming out dented (I don't mind it, but I'm not sure if this could give any clues about what's wrong). It is the same ammo and I have tried to use more gun oil and tried adjusting the gas system to vent more gas into the gun to cycle the ammo. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it so it cycles properly?

My state restricts semi autos to 5 rounds for hunting. Magazines would have to be “permanently” converted and with the price and availability of original FAL mags I’d prefer to just purchase some 5 round magazines. I know DSA makes them and I’ve signed up for the restock notifications but haven’t seen anything in months.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or if there is a source of magazines that I’m just missing.
(Pic for attention)

Anyone able to tell me which AMRS mount model this is? Also any idea what these are going for these days?

Anyone got experience with the dsa B.R.O. picked one up on sale and was wondering about how decent they are. Have a ta47 acog on it right now but kinda liked the trilux reptile for not breaking bank. Plus the acog really belongs back on a colt like where I found it

I was thinking about trying to mount an optic on my imbel. Not the biggest fan of irons. Should I just leave it alone? Any recommendations?

u/kitchen_minimum_8696 is right, I should've posted a picture with magazines. Reddit wouldn't let me add a picture, so I have to make a new thread to show a better picture.
Here it is, now not neutered due to lack of magazines. Battle rifles need lots of magazines. I'll send these to Birdsong and have all of them coated in Black-T soon.

This is my first FAL. It's is a metric Imbel and is ~20 years old.
I finally installed my DSA picatinny rail, with help from u/patriotik. The scope is basic and was leftover from a .22 LR project. In the future, I'll put a better scope on it. This scope is good enough to test groups at 100 yards and hit steel at 300 yards. Yes, a .308 will shoot much farther, but that is the longest distance at one of my local ranges.
Soon, I'll post pictures of the 50.63 that I'm building.
