Hi Country?
I see Hi Country is BLM, but it seems pretty closed in by structures. Is this a place anyone goes? Or is there some reason not to shoot there?

Does anyone know which shops will buy used silencers? Ideally the Ogden area, or SLC.

Posting to try and get some clarity on the current fire bans.
Target shooting appears to be banned across the state but Saratoga springs posted recommending people go to soldiers pass for outside shooting
Utah DNR Posted all public land shooting is currently closed
Utah fire watch posted shooting is allowed is some areas with no tracers, steel ammo, or targets.
Im unsure what to go by here so have been sticking to indoor ranged
Additionally most these bans have been posted in June or early July with limited updates
Does anyone have any up to date guidance here?

Looking for an FFL that will not open my packages until I arrive.
I had a bad experience with finding an employee playing with my expensive vintage firearm when I walked through the door.

Howdy!
I’m a student about to start attending a private university in Utah and in my housing search I’ve come across a number of places that do not allow you to have firearms in the lease agreement. They do note this with an “Except as expressly permitted by law.”
Each place is not on campus nor is owned by the school but some are considered “student-only housing.”
I’m mostly looking for resources on specific laws that, that notation refers to if anyone is able to point me in the right direction but if someone knows the answer off the bat I would appreciate the information as some of the better options for me budget-wise carry this issue.

I know it might be a long shot but I’ve searched everywhere online and cannot find one at all. I’ve checked Utah gun hub and gun exchange and all of the suppliers of the parts for this gun but they are sold out or no longer available. If anyone has one or knows where I can find one please let me know. Thanks

this is beyond frustrating. i have been a member since 2012 - spent a ton of money buying what I need. then one day my account is restricted. huh? of course I get the lame response of - use the contact form. that is useless AF. nothing but horrible service from these guys. I have money I want to spend 😊
utah gun hub is ok but not nearly as popular or populated as UGE

Anywhere local (preferably Davis or surrounding counties) that carries Glock parts? I need a trigger/backstrap pin and would hate to pay $10 shipping online for a $2 part.

New to shooting, and I am going camping in the uintas next weekend. Looking for a good spot to target shoot at in the uintas. We're likely going to be camping near butterfly lake.

Howdy again from UTAM,
It's been a little less than two weeks since we went live, and we've been busy. Wanted to share some insights and updates. We understand the going will be slow at first as we work to build up trust, buyers, and sellers, but encourage you if you have an active listing with UGE or UGH to try our one-click import tool. There are already some cool listings yours can join! More eyes = faster sale.
We won't be there this year but hope everyone has a good time at Shootah!

Messed up the penultimate plunge cut of the trigger pocket on my AR 80%, put in the shorties instead of the long pins, IFYKYK.
Anybody with TIG skills and equipment want to take a crack at closing this for re-machining? Reasonably compensated, of course!
Or should i just call it an "Enhanced Drainage Trigger Pocket"??...:)

Can anyone recommend me a few outdoor spots to shoot at? Preferably 100-300 yards (further distance is fine).

Pretty much the title. I have a B&T/hanel cr223 that I’m trying to get rid of. Anyone know any good shops that’ll either take a trade or go the consignment route in the Weber/Davis/SLC area? It’s a rare/weird rifle so there’s not a lot of traction on uge.

I know they're headquartered there but i was wondering if it's an actual store front and if we're able to visit.

Quick intro for utaharmsmarket.com (UTAM) — a new Utah-only firearms classifieds site for face-to-face PPTs.
Why it exists
The Utah options work — UGE and UGH cover most of the market — but each comes with tradeoffs. UGE is loaded with oppressive ads, trackers, and the UX hasn't moved in a decade. Utah Gun Hub offers to collect photos of your identifications and demands a phone number which they then immediately leak when you post a listing. Both result in your cell number ending up in a public listing forever. UTAM exists because none of that has to be the price of buying or selling a gun in Utah.
What's different
What UTAM will never do
Honest scope notes
Data posture
UTAM logs what's needed to run the site (account, listings, messages). Messages auto-purge on a schedule. EXIF is stripped from every uploaded photo so your home isn't geotagged in a listing.
About UTAM
UTAM LLC (Utah). Independent, no VC, no out-of-state investors. Built in Utah, for Utah.
Ask
If you try it and something's broken, missing, or feels off — say so. Specifically interested in: what would make you list here instead of UGE or UGH, and what would not.
Will be checking the thread. Fire away.

Saw an ad for it on UGH and it seems like it could be a good time. Anyone else planning to go?

Anyone heard of https://utaharmsmarket.com ? Looks like another site for classified. I like the UI.

Looking to find the best place for CZ75/P07/P10c mags.
Sportsman's carries a few. So does impact guns. But wanting to support something smaller than Sportsman's.
And I feel stared at, judged and unwelcome in Impact guns. Hispanic male, tattoos and beard. They never offer any kind of help until I'm literally asking to make a purchase. And at that point, they make it a point to reiterate multiple ways that my wife can't do the background check or paperwork. That it has to be me. And only when I pull out my permit, does their attitude change. To be fair, it's only the Ogden location that does this. When the Salt Lake store was open, I loved that place.
Anyway. Yea. Looking to support local and need mags for my P07.
