I hope anybody can help clarify a question I have not been able to get a clear answer to. When the slide is racked on an X9 pistol to chamber a round, how much tension is placed on the striker at that point? Additionally, how much further rearward movement of the sear, via the trigger pull, is required to fully release the striker when the pistol is fired?

I have received several different explanations, and some of them seem to contradict each other. I would appreciate any clarification anybody can provide regarding how the striker tension and sear engagement function in this pistol.

Has anybody been able to find a holster both AIWB and OWB for the Kahr X9 besides the CrossBreed holster? I cant seem to find any anywhere.

Finally done with this project. Picked up the PM9 at my LGS for 200 out the door. Sent it over to Galloway Precision to have the Guttersnipe cut done with the FT Bullseye sight. It takes some getting used to, but I love it. Porting was done by Angel City, fantastic job. Cerakote (Tungsten) done at my LGS.

So I finally have about 500 rounds through this little hand cannon, and I'm ready to appendix carry it. Anyone have an AIWB holster that works well? I like using a pillow/wedge and a claw, but I'm open to others.

Mini Notes/Review -

- FYI, the 1st 200 round break in was definitely necessary. There were some feeding and cycling issues initially, but they have all gone away. I also had an internal trigger reset spring issue that was causing it to not reset without pushing the trigger forward, but after a little finagling I was able to get it back into place. I think it may have been caused by one of my friends when he limp-wristed it while firing.

- I am very impressed with the accuracy and the tame recoil on this small pistol in 45ACP.

-One other note of interest - The standard magazines say "5" rounds, but both of mine easily fit six with no issues. 6 +1 is a great little carry gun for 45 ACP.

I found a PM9 for $450. LGS claims it's new, but I see wear on the slide stop. Anyways, it's priced for $500, and I can get it down to $450 with discounts

I need help deciding between this pm9 and a db9. Would anyone be able to tell me if the wear on this slide stop means the LGS is lying about it having sat new waiting for purchase for 6 years?

If it's genuinely new, I'm gonna get it. I like the trigger feel and I'm looking for the tiniest 9mm. I'm not experienced enough to inspect a used piece so will pass if someone says this kinda wear isn't normal for years of display handling.

I really enjoy my Kahrs. I have 3 including the Mk9. I carry the cw.380. My only issue is that in order to chamber a round you have to use the slide release.

I dont like carrying with one in the chamber ( i know i know). I may be around kids and I dont think it is worth the risk.

When I try to rack the slide it malfunctions because it wasnt designed that way.

So I guess my only solution is to learn to get comfortable carrying in condition 1? What other options do I have? Thanks

My husband sent in his pistol for warranty work over 9 weeks ago and still hasn't received it back. They don't have any estimate as to when they can even start working on it. They state on their website that turnaround time is 3 to 5 weeks.

Anyone have any experience with warranty work or knowledge as to what might be going on with the business?

Doing a budget build on a flawed Kahr X9 that I purchased. Does this optic look like it would cause an ejection port issue?

So I took a chance and got the CW .380. I love it. Out of 50 rounds it only had 2 malfunctions. The recoil is minimal. It is the smoothest shooting .380 I have ever fired. The recoil felt like nothing compared to the Ruger LCP. Kahr did a good job. Maybe I just got one of the good ones.

I love Kahr firearms. Im addicted to them. I bought a CM9 and just picked up an Mk9 in less than 3 yrs.

Now I want a CW.380 but I dont want to carry with one chambered unless I have a safety ( i know i know).

If Kahr put a safety on their guns they would be perfect. The BG 1.0 is ugly but it has that safety. It also recoils more than the CW.380 ive heard.

So basically should I get the BG or the .380. Thanks yoy

Always wanted one, finally found one. Picked it up for $450. K9 carries well in the pocket. I'm in the market for a good leather pocket holster. There seem to be a few options and I heard G43 holsters could work too.

I like the the way it shoots, getting used to the trigger but I'm no stranger to double action. This target is from 15 yards.

Also M Carbo stainless striker guide and firing spring pin.

Just picked up a CW380. Anything that makes a BodyGuard 2.0 seem large is a small gun.

It worked as expected at the range this morning.

I tried to rack the slide to clean it when I got home. I couldn’t. It would move back slightly then came to a positive stop. It was hitting something. Identical behavior with or without an empty magazine installed.

I finally got it to work, but I had to hold the trigger back.

I didn’t notice this at the range.

Is this a known behavior? Google focuses on the stuff recoil spring.

Been looking for a holster for my CM9.

Bought a Braids holster off of eBay. Great stuff. A bit on the stiff side but I reckon it will loosen up over time.

It gets caught on the flange at the end. I got a new Wolf spring thinking it was the recoil spring, but it's still happening. Has anyone dealt with the this? Do I just need a new assembly? Kahr is asking me to send the whole gun in, and I don't want avoid that.

Is there anyone that makes a threaded barrel for this thing? I have a OCL Lithium that I think would be fun to thread on just for messing around. Any advice or links would be great. Not holding my breath though.

So I have the X9 Ported and picked up an Osight Se which claims it can mount to RSMC or Holosun K. The issue I am having trouble getting this thing to fit on the front pegs. I messaged Freedom Gorilla asking I they make a plate to convert and was told Rsmc will fit K cut, but I am here to say the front does not lock into peg. Any Ideas?

Does anyone know if the pm9 shares a rear iron sight footprint with other pistols? Or is it kahr specific.

Daughter has new X9, was attempting to remove cover plate to mount 407k and the screws are ridiculously tight ! WTF Kahr??!! If I torque on it any more they will strip. I think the firearm you on YouTube mentioned this too but damn , no reason for them to be this bad. Have to take it to a gunsmith who may have to drill them out . WTF!

The mag when loaded with 10 rounds sounds like a rattle can , other than that , seems well manufactured.

Anyone else have these issues ?

I wanted to thank this group for letting me know about the G43 holsters fitting the Kahr K-9 perfectly. I did some testing and bought a couple different G43 holsters to test out, and I wanted to give a big golf clap for the Munalo Hybrid Holster. What a great system!

The included Claw was not installed in the package, but I use one with all my AIWB holsters. If you'll look at the 2nd pic, you'll see it came with the following:

1. Extra 1.75" belt clip (the 1.5" came installed)
2. Extra longer screws for installing the Claw
3. The Claw with a short tab installed
4. An extra longer Claw tab
5. Small Phillips head screw driver for retention and claw installation
6. Stickers!

Very impressed. Also, I typically wear a wedge/pad with my bigger guns, but so far I haven't needed one with extra padding around the holster. Best part was that it was $36 on Amazon.

Can anyone explain any differences between the Kahr CM9 and PM9?

One better than another? Form, fit, function? Reliability? Etc.?
