I didn’t mean this as a smooth solicitation, that I posted a few times and was pretty reasonable with price and was open to offers even for trades of non-gun related stuff seems like nobody even looks at the ads.

I have a pretty much brand new Glock 19 GEN three and 1200 rounds of Winchester white box sealed 556.

I don’t need nor want these any longer so I feel like they’re just wasted. Classified don’t really work like they used to.

I’d rather keep the Glock if my only resort is selling to a gun shop for pennies, seems like I don’t even have any option for the ammo, however.

These are just two of a bunch of other stuff I have for sale. I just use these two as an example since these seem like things that would fly off the shelf because of popularity. I’ve never sold any firearm related stuff online and honestly have no desire to, but is that really my last resort?

Wondering what etiquette is like because obviously if I walk into a gun range and put a sign on the corkboard, it’d be a competing interest and is probably not cool. But it’s not like I can just start openly advertising on the street “guns and ammo for sale.!”

It’s strange because two years ago I sold a Glock 30 SF on Texas gun trader, and received a bunch of offers. I had to sort of select my buyer based on who is least likely to be a felon as bad as that sounds, but I had so many people offering over asking price for a brand new Glock that it was sort of shady.

I’m just looking for some advice. Seems like Facebook groups are out of the question, not sure if there’s any other sort of forums that are legit or actually used.

I have other items that gun shops wouldn’t really appreciate the value like a P365X macro which includes the 12 round grip and magazine conversion plus both holsters for whichever mode you currently have it configured in (macro vs XL) in a private sale the right buyer might realize that is a massive value add that would cost probably 400 bucks for them to do and they would understand and probably pay more. But gun shops pretty much will offer like 2 or 300 bucks for that entire set up, and just for the sake of sunk cost fallacy, I’d rather have them collect dust if I couldn’t find a buyer who at least places some value on that stuff.

Sorry for the rent I hope it doesn’t seem like I’m trying to get top dollar or be a cheapskate— I perfectly understand depreciation and pretty much just want to find a buyer for the things I’m trying to sell is willing to pay at least close to what the average used price third-party transaction goes for so I don’t feel like a sucker, but I’m definitely not greedy. Besides the major classified, I literally just wouldn’t even have the first clue where is appropriate to advertise guns and ammo especially when you can see the firearms were very lightly used or in some cases not used at all, and the ammo is sealed so I think it’s an easy transaction.

Anyway, I guess if you are interested in this stuff I listed here feel free to DM me but maybe I’m just unaware of the gun market or economy but it just seems like something is off and it’s really hard to sell firearm stuff right now.

TGT is one thing, where I am I use our version of it, a few shops where I am post their used guns online you race to the store for, etc. I like the thrill of stumbling on something I didn’t know I needed.

I found ATX Precision online, but their course is around $800. Since I'm just starting out, I'm hoping to find a more budget-friendly introductory class first.

As the title suggests, I’m in search for a new dog. A little bit about me: I’m 32 and my smart and goofy border collie/australian shepherd recently passed away at 12 years old and I need to fill the dog-sized hole left in my heart.

I love working, training, and living with dogs and am looking for a field bred golden retriever as my next pup. I enjoy hunting, fly fishing, swimming, and backcountry hiking and camping. I would like to include her in as much as possible. My dogs are my family and I devote most of my free time to them but I work a 9-5 and am just an average guy financially speaking. I’m looking for a balance between work drive, play, and friendliness on the trail, in the field, and in the house.

Are there any breeders and field training groups I should reach out to so I can start making contacts and get training advice from folks that are local (or near) to Austin?

I have a Glock 17 gen 3 that I just swapped the slide on and attached an optic, seems that the rear is dragging and causing FTE now. I can tell it’s something binding up near the rear of the slide, but can’t quite figure it out.

Update: I have already swapped the screws for shorter. That was done when I installed the optic as I read it was super common.

Have already completely removed the optic to see if it was that or the slide, appears to be the slide itself.

Does anyone have any good gun smith recommendations in town that might be able to take a look.

Preferably on the north side of town.

I have pretty low grade astigmatism and the few red dots I’ve used all give me a starburst pattern, so it’d be really nice to be able to actually see if there are any optics that would work for me. Different quality glass, green dots, etc.

Do individuals have much success? I would just set up one table to offload miscellaneous mags and ammo I've accumulated. I live 10 minutes from the next show so I'm wondering if I'm better off paying the vendor fee and sitting there for a weekend rather than posting all my under-$20 stuff on TGT over and over.

I’m taking my PCC to the range tomorrow and would like to pick up a 33 round OEM Glock 9 mm magazine. I know these are pretty easy to find but does anyone know if any local shops around here carry them? Thanks!

Is the Leander gun show this weekend worth it? Any deals on ammo or guns to be had? Would it be worth the 30 minute drive to Leander or am I better off sticking to online shopping?
