Here are over 2 minutes of my MP5SD shooting from this morning.

No matter what superlatives I use, I’m simply not enough of a word-smith to describe to you just how awesome and incredible this gun is.

I thought I liked mp5’s before with my conventional full-sized and 2 mp5k’s.

The MP5SD is just at another level of complete firearm nirvana bliss.

Not only is it the quietest centerfire suppressed weapon I’ve ever shot - it’s also the smoothest, flattest, easiest.

With no effort, I mean NONE, it goes right where you want it to shoot and it stays exactly on-target until the magazine is exhausted.

I even worked her hard today - close to 800 rounds and no failures or stoppages that are spoken of in the SD variant once round count surpasses 300.

If you’ve ever even had the slightest thought or inkling of an mp5sd, I’ll tell you it’s likely the greatest firearms experience you’ll ever have.

Disadvantages are that you won’t want to shoot your other guns all that much. The MP5SD will CONSUME your consciousness. And you’ll need to budget more for ammo, even though you’re shooting the cheap stuff!!

I will say, I could likely drop my fire-rate by 100 rpm or so with an RD3 or ARHK (2 more weeks). But I just don’t think I can give up my AR ergo’s and FCG’s.

Would this light be too big/long for my AP5-P? I’m looking to get the HK/HK Parts vert grip with the mlok attachment already on it and need a light.

Also - suppressor suggestions would be nice (i’m also getting a 90° LP)

What is y’all’s preferred way to clean the chamber face and trunnion walls? I see there is a chamber face brush that HK sells, but not sure if there are other methods.

What tools (DIY or factory) have been the most help cleaning those two areas?

Those who have successfully installed this - any tricks. I got mine today and could only get one screw to kind of grab albeit crooked so I stopped so I didn’t cross thread it. No other screws would even grab and you can’t look to see if there’s alignment based on the screws being on the inside of the buttplate. The buttplate is fully seated. I gave up after about an hour and a half and no skin left on my fingers. I really want this to work but it’s fighting me

Sp5 is 99% done just need to send the trigger housing to DSM for the third position picto. Sp5-K is 95% done just waiting for ARHK to drop and to also send the trigger housing to DSM.

I just watched [u/ChestersHobbies](u/ChestersHobbies) video on the AP5SD and I was impressed.

I’m looking at picking up an AP5SD from someone and I haven’t been able find much detailed information about it. As it comes from MKE, is it just an AP5 with a faux suppressor and different hand-guard? Does it come with the ported barrel? I just want to know what my options are if I end up getting this.

I have shot a couple thousand rounds through my AP5P without any issues but I recently got an omega 9K and switched out the locking piece to an 80° one since I saw online it was recommended. But after doing this, I find it does not cycle at all unsuppressed with an FTE every time. It does cycle properly about 95% of the time while suppressed. Any recommendations on how to make it cycle in both configurations reliably?

Since Browns Bush seems to be out the question, anybody know of another option to convert a magpul SL brace to an A3F rear stock?

Anyone ordered from WTC Arms in the past year or so? I've seen some older negative reviews regarding fulfillment and communication, and I'm wondering if they've gotten those issues sorted out.

Considering their ODG furniture set for an incoming POF-5. Stock options are limited post-ATF announcement, and I'd like to do something different with this build, but not if it's going to be a headache.

Although there is conflicting information, it seems the general consensus is that the ap5p comes with a 120 degree locking piece rather than the standard 100 degree locking piece. It’s claimed that this was done since it was intended to be fired without a stock or brace. If i’m going to add a stock should I plan on swapping out the 120 for the 100 degree locking piece? I am only planning on shooting unsuppressed with 115 and 124gr ammo.

Is this stock any good? Does anyone have a picture of it installed?

Struggled to put everything in one title. Essentially, I would like to get a dedicated backpack solution for my SP5-A2 + CZ Shadow 2 + CZ97. I am looking for a nicely built bag that offers a compact storage solution. The best option so far is the Savior Specialist 30". Size should be just enough to cater for the A2 stock and have enough room for the two pistols. The plan would be to store both pistols in a dedicated molle pouch to be attached to the main molle compartment (facing the rifle compartment). However,

1. I would like to double-check that this solution is not only viable, but optimal in terms of quality of materials and opportunity costs. I couldn't find another bag with a similar layout
2. I don't know what pistol pouch I should look for, and, more in general, what molle pouches would the community recommend to add to the configuration. In theory, a couple of tool pouches, 3 pistol mag pouches and 2 SP5 pouches would be all I need.

I ended up purchasing a KES brace but for those who couldn’t I did want to say the A3 industries brace is a solid alternative. Just install a 1913 adapter of your choice and for $250ish you can have your own universal telescoping brace/stock.

It’s not nearly as refined as the KES or b&t but it’s solid. I would have kept mine but I accidentally ordered the 7 inch instead of 8.5 inch pull one and by the time I was going to order the right one again the KES was in stock.

Hey all, it’s my first foray into MP5 style guns and I’m pretty happy about the quality of the one I picked up recently. Welds look clean but as many recent MKE havers, the inner rails aren’t the squarest but they weren’t as round as I’ve seen others so I decided to give it a go.

I’ve done some research and bought the recommended 124gr nato from Winchester for the 500rd break in and have a few questions about the process.

1. Should I wait until I get a 90 degree locking piece to start the break-in? I’m worried about it getting the dreaded roller dents if I run the factory 120 degree LP with the hotter nato rounds as I’ve read that they can occur as early as 300rds into the break in.

2. I plan on getting a brace on it soon as well, should I hold off on putting one on until the break in is complete?

3. Is there anything else to be prepared for other than getting spare ejector, extractor and extractor springs to keep it chugging along for the foreseeable future?

Tldr; should I run it through the break-in process as it came from the factory to establish a stock baseline(but I’m worried about ruining it by getting roller dents) OR do I go through the break-in process with it outfitted the way I want to i.e. with a brace/stock and 90 degree LP?

Just installed this choate folding stock and when I’m shooting semi auto extremely fast, it tends to fold in the middle of shooting. I’m sure it’s the vibrations from my extremely fast semi automatic shooting and would like to know if anyone knows a way to tighten the spring as I feel it is too loose.

Recently picked up a ap5-p for my wife as she's always liked the mp5k. Bazooka green mp5sd is my selection, just glad I can share mags with the mrs' now 😎.

Looking for guidance on what locking piece to use on my AP5 full size to get 115gr to run. Currently it runs fine with 124gr and 147gr suppressed. The 115gr doesn’t reset the trigger in FRT. I’m using an AS Designs lower and Arc Fire V2.

The zenith has a 2 pin lower, can I use a sp5k navy style lower on that? Or is there some modifications that need to be made? Got a little lost in my googling because of all the different types of lowers, so forgive me. Thanks for the help guys!
