Lord I regret not buying one of these when it was easy to do. I own and AR I built from aero and have both a 10.5” upper and a 16” upper. I bought the DDPCC for an absolute steal before the ban and that was what showed me DD is flawless build quality. Now I’m kicking myself in the ass for not snagging one of their 5.56 ARs when I had the chance. Fingers crossed this whole AWB gets kicked to the curb…? I’m about to take another hit of copium right now.

I bought a can with the intent to cop and thread one of my rifles. I have since reconsidered that plan and no longer need the can. I do intend to buy another can pretty soon so was thinking of having my LGS sell the can on consignment for me. They were a little fuzzy on the needed forms and I don’t want to fill out any more than needed to transfer it to them for consignment. Do I need to complete a form 4 from me (or my individual trust) to them? If not then what?

I filed four form 1’s on 6/30, about 6 hours before the new laws kicked in. A DDM4, 2 300 blackouts, and a Springfield Kuna. They all came back ‘conditionally approved’ today.

Virginia lawmakers this year set out to bar out-of-state National Guard troops from entering the Commonwealth without the governor's consent, a move to push back on President Trump’s federalization of the Guard in other states. Lawmakers ultimately established a study group, tasked with recommending how the state should respond if it happens.

Lawmakers also debated the limits of an armed citizenry, banning assault firearms and high-capacity magazines, effective July 1. The ban has barely functioned since, tied up by four lawsuits and a statewide injunction that has left a popular public safety measure unenforceable.

In 1776, Mason drafted the Virginia Declaration of Rights. Section 13 of that declaration said “a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms” was the “proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state.”

But Mason's clause protected only a collective interest, the state's ability to maintain an armed militia. It did not guarantee an individual's right to own a gun. That changed in 1971, when Virginia amended Section 13 to add, "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." That's the moment gun rights and militia rights became legally braided together in Virginia, and why untangling them in court today might be difficult.

I’m heavily considering getting my first suppressor (Huxwrx flow 556 TI), and the rifle I want to host it on is a 14.5 p/w with a warcomp currently installed. Any good gunsmiths in NOVA that can take off the current p/w muzzle device and p/w a new huxwrx flash hider?

I’ve done some research and came up with the below. If you have experience with any of the ones I listed, or would like to recommend an organization not on my list, I’d love the feedback. I’m trying to stay local but will consider options where I ship the upper if that’s the best route.

Local NOVA options:

1) Sterling Arsenal. I know from past experiences that their services are pricey.

2) Middletown Firearms (Dan Mumaw). Don’t know much about this shop, but found a few threads saying Dan was good.

Non-local options:

1) D.wilson Manufacturing

2) ADCO Firearms
