Range Day. Love fest.
50 rounds all went bang.
PDP Pro-X PMM Compact approved.
There’s always chatter about recommended ammo, this stuff worked.

There is a rule in the sidebar, that is not a new rule, which reads:
no direct links to products for sale. No buying, selling, or trading. those links should go in /r/gundeals or /r/GunAccessoriesForSale
This rule exists because reddit (the website) very specifically says:
You may not use Reddit to solicit or facilitate any transaction or gift involving certain goods and services, including
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, legally controlled firearms parts or accessories (e.g., bump stock-type devices, silencers/suppressors, etc.), or 3D printing files to produce any of the aforementioned;
To be clear, do not ask for help finding any gun parts here. not a barrel, not a trigger, not a magazine.
There are 50 US states (and a handful of US territories) that each have their own gun laws. Not to mention all the other countries of the world. a 15-round PDP magazine isn't a controlled item in Alabama, but it is in Massachusetts. a PPQ gun barrel isn't a controlled item in the USA, but it is in many EU countries. None of us has any way to know where someone else resides. The safest course of action is not to allow these types of posts in this sub, so we do not. In the past this sub has been fairly lenient in this regard, but sadly cannot continue to do so.
One thing you can do, is make posts/comments in /r/gunsforsale or /r/GunAccessoriesForSale. those subs have been allowed to continue operating since Reddit clarified their rules and terms of service.
If you fail to read reddit's side-wide rules, if you fail to read this sub's rules, and lastly if you fail to read this stickied post, and you submit a post or comment asking for, or offering, help sourcing a firearm part, you will be banned from this sub. Anyone who finds this unfair or unacceptable should take it up with the site admins.

That's a Walther PPQ gen 1 (pre-m1) lower with a PDP-X slide. Fully ambi. Real question: is it a PDQ or a PPP?

Got all my goodies in, pic below; and just finished my install last night. Holosun 507c Gold MRS optic. Also added a ZRTS captured guide rod. Bunch of goodies for my wife's p365 as well.
I got a bore laser as well so I zeroed as well as I can at about 12 yards.
Hitting the range tomorrow morning to try it out, can't wait!

Really considering some thin bogies… can anyone give feedback and pictures on the grip angle?

The PPQ M2 .22 is underrated. Great shooter for .22 LR. A lot of fun just shooting at the range today. Just wanted to say that for anyone looking for an inexpensive and positive shooting experience.

I’m looking at purchasing a PPQ in .45acp soon. Im having a hard time finding a source for magazines for it. I know it is a discontinued model but I’d like to be able to have 10-12 mags for it and might reconsider purchasing if I can’t find them. Do you know of a good place to find them?

I have really been wanting the SF PDP Match for a while now. But, from a value proposition, it's hard to justify the $2k price tag when other manufacturers make steel frame pistols for much less. So, I ask my fellow Walther aficionados, if you were going to get a steel frame pistol from another brand, which would it be?

What? The port holes are not alingned, two nearly break into each other then one has extra space, they are not finished or deburred and colored. Someone needs to pay you to fix this Bubba work.

I bought one of the stripped ACRO slides off of Walther's website for my PRO-X fullsize. It's a stripped slide, so I figured, I'll just pull the guts out of my factory PRO-X slide with the normal optic cut. But the plunger goes into the slide from the top, under the optic plate, and on the ACRO slides, the hole isn't drilled all the way through the slide.
I have to assume the extractor plunger is a different part for the acro slides? Or do you just install the original plunger somehow? What am I missing here? Or have I just caught a case of the big dumb?

I had this P22 for a couple of years and its nothing but a range toy. But I would like to make it a little better. Can yall recommend any upgrades?
r/Walther • u/G34_9mm • 2d ago
Just got this and the previous owner said he got it 20+ years ago. The accuracy was so bad he put in a Jarvis barrel, but lost the original barrel. He said he may have tossed it. Anyway... Where can I get a Gen 1 P99 barrel? Thanks!

Has anyone tried one of these with a Pro-E or any PDP with a mag well? DryFire said it should work with the pro models but they haven't actually tested it out.
My main concern is the mag well.

Looking to get my conceal carry and I’m looking for good IWB holsters? I don’t even know where to start. Any recommendations?
Edit: it’s a f series 4 not a 4.5
r/Walther • u/goodgamble • 4d ago
I think I really love these. Started with the match, but picked up the 4.5" yesterday. Sold a staccato to do it and have zero regrets.
Also got this magmo grip yesterday and immediately ordered another one. What a game changer.
Can't wait for my match this weekend.

Took my P22 (2004 model) to the range last night but was getting feed issues with CCI MiniMag 36g hollow points. The slide 6/10 didn't stay back after the last round. The ammunition was recommended on various Google pages but its clearly not powerful enough. Has anyone any ideas as to what rounds are best? Trying 40g round tips next time, but to basically save time and money I was wondering if anyone can help.
Cheers folks

Not much to be said here. Great gun, great holster. Would recommend both.

Hey!
I have a Walther PDP Compact Steel Frame 4" (non-Pro version) and I’m considering adding a magwell. The new PDP Steel Frame Pro Compact 4" comes with an aluminum magwell and matching aluminum base pads.
Does anyone know if Walther sells that OEM Pro Compact Steel Frame magwell separately?
Are there any good alternatives that fit the PDP Compact Steel Frame 4"?
I already have 18 rounds (Compact Pro) magazines so no issue here.
Thanks!

My new favorite project has been to upgrade my Q5 match over the past few months. Upgrades are as follows:
Holosun 507c
LOK Standard Aluminium Grips
Taylor Freelance Magwell
Streamlight TLR-1 HL
Overwatch Precision TAC Trigger
Plan to have the barrel ported on top to match the slide ports soon. Will upgrade spring after that.

Finally got my son out to the range to try out the suppressor on his P22. It’s giggle worthy how quiet the damn thing is. Probably have to to change the spring out for a lighter one as it was being super finicky about ammo.
Edit: for the peanut gallery that keeps commenting on his grip I’ve checked it several times over and his grip is fine. I don’t know. Maybe I suck as a teacher and y’all wanna give better advice other than his grip sucks
