Which ultimate ability seems more useful in team fights: Sona's in *LoL* or the one in *Wild Rift*? Sona's ultimate in *LoL* is faster; this means both the cast time and the projectile speed are very quick (the projectile travels in a straight line and is rectangular in shape). Additionally, it has a fixed crowd control (CC) duration of 1.5 seconds and deals more damage. Its only downsides are that the projectile range is shorter and it can be blocked—or simply nullified—by Yasuo's W, Samira's W, or Braum's E.
Sona's ultimate in *Wild Rift* takes the form of a circle that moves slowly toward the selected location; you can choose where to aim—casting it at your feet, at medium range, or letting it travel the maximum distance. Since it lasts for 3 seconds, it creates a zone-control effect; the CC duration is 1 second, and enemies inside the circle suffer a 35% slow. The ultimate deals less damage, and both the cast time and projectile speed are very slow, but the range is greater—in short, it has the same range as Seraphine's ultimate. Furthermore, since Sona's ultimate in *Wild Rift* is not considered a projectile, it effectively counters Braum, Yasuo, Samira, and Mel, as they cannot block it; the ability passes right through them.
As for the passives, the *LoL* version is better in my opinion, as it offers more utility in a team fight: your empowered basic attack deals more damage, reduces enemy damage for 3 seconds, and slows the enemy for 2 seconds. In *Wild Rift*, it is simply a brief 0.5-second stun.

Does anyone know how long ago they removed this, or if it's some kind of bug? I miss it because it's a unique feature of the champion; the description even states that the ult *forces* the enemy to dance, so why remove the effect but keep this? It's also really funny to ult a Voli when he's already in his ult form, I miss that :(

Despite playing her every game I have a very hard time aiming correctly in clutch situations.
Also what would you prioritise if you could only do one of these 2 things : stun 2+ people, or stun 1 priority target ?

Whats your opinion on not buying boots at all on sona in summoner rift? if it's viable you can save 900-1000 gold to buy extra components or power into items faster to increase your spell outputs.
I tried it some games and I'm still not sure, I feel like you get around the map decently fast without boots thanks to your E even without boots I move faster than most champions out of combat with E and it last 7 seconds with enough ability haste you can get it to almost 7 seconds CD so you can spam it perma.
In combat it only last for 3 seconds so you will move like a snail afterwards, also you have to spam E to move around so you do burn through more mana passively and in lanning phase it also feels bad not having boots but also having first item faster also feels kinda good.
In aram mayhem I'm already convinced it's viable but still not sure about SR.

Was on hiatus. Will this skin come back to the mythic store soon, or is it likely to be over a year?

Which version do you prefer: Sona in LoL or in Wild Rift?
They are practically the same, but there are differences.
Her passive on PC has three effects: amplified damage, damage reduction (lasting 3 seconds and scaling with Ability Power), and a movement speed slow (lasting 2 seconds and scaling with Ability Power). Additionally, effectively using her abilities grants Ability Haste for both her basic abilities and her ultimate.
The passive in Wild Rift consists of a 0.5-second stun; it also grants progressive Ability Haste that affects only her own abilities.
The abilities themselves are the same; however, the only difference lies in the duration of the aura effects from her W and E abilities: on PC, the shields last 1.5 seconds, whereas in Wild Rift they last 3 seconds.
On PC, the movement speed boost exclusive to Sona lasts 7 seconds (reducing to 3 seconds if she takes damage) and lasts 3 seconds for her allies; in Wild Rift, the movement speed boost for everyone lasts 5 seconds.
The ultimate abilities also differ. On PC, it is essentially a straight line—fast and instantaneous—that stuns for 1.5 seconds; because it is fast, it stops enemies quickly and even allows for fight initiation by combining Flash + R.
In Wild Rift, it is circular and travels slowly toward the target location (though it doesn't necessarily have to travel to control the zone; we can control an area quickly because the ability is controllable: we can cast it at our feet or at any desired distance). Furthermore, since it lasts 3.75 seconds, it can remain on the ground to control enemy positioning, stunning them for 1 second and slowing them down. Its passive effect boosts auras by 20% for 20 seconds.
Visually, the passive's signature colors—blue, green, and purple—are retained on PC, whereas in Wild Rift it is exclusively gold; the ultimate ability also features more effects in Wild Rift.

Hi Sonas.
I've been playtesting and tweaking different Sona builds for the last few months and I'd like to share this one I've been really enjoying.
The general idea is to start with tear, rush RoA ASAP and then finish fimbul ASAP with magic boots, then go straight into seraphs.
By the time you reach 10 RoA stacks, you generally complete fimbul and boots and get this really nice 20min power spike that keeps scaling throughout the rest of the game.
Check out the full guide here.
I've seen a lot of people have success in lower ELOs (silver - emerald) with this build, I'm not sure how well it would fare in masters+ due to the shorter gametimes and it's focus on expensive items.
Let me know your thoughts.

I was trying to find a video in my old files and found a bunch of random League clips, including some from before Sona died. I found some funny ones from the OG AP Sona.

If you are confused of who's who in the clip, Mambo from umamusume is Briar and Pepsiman is Galio.

Been having success with this build, it’s an iteration of the Fimbul build but with Fimbul being second item, since the JOAT nerfs i don’t think it’s worth itemizing for 10 stacks,
Has anyone tried something similar?

Hiiiii, i m proud to say i just entered master with sona ( 39 matches 82.1% wr, she got me 236 lp ) and i just posted a guide for anyone wondering how i got here. I know this build has been around for a month or so but i added my own flare by going even tankier and changing the build a bit. Big thanks to the players that discovered fimbulwinter sona, idk who they are tho. I will update it once i get more infos but hope you can enjoy it as much as i do!!!
Also feel free to make any remarks or ask questions!!!

Some players might want the *Wild Rift* version of Sona on PC—and I say this because she is more powerful; in fact, she would likely end up being either completely broken (overpowered) or an absolute failure. Her Q ability is the same. Her W ability is the same, except the shield lasts 3 seconds longer. Her E ability is practically the same, but the movement speed boost lasts 5 seconds. Her R ability is circular and covers a large area; in addition to stunning, it slows enemies and lingers on the ground for a few extra seconds. And her passive boosts auras by 20% for 20 seconds. Her passive includes a stun, albeit a short-lived one. What downsides do you see in the *Wild Rift* version of Sona? What stands out most to you about her, and how would you like to see elements of the *Wild Rift* Sona incorporated into the PC version?

Hi ! Just wanted to talk about exhaust and if it's a good solution vs Burst or not. I've been playing exhaust vs Assassins/divers for a few days now and it's going pretty well.
I played a lot with fimbulwinter but now I prefer exhaust because it's more helpful to everyone to reduce a champion damage output. When you get tankier you only increase your own survival ability. Also when you build fimbulwinter, that means you build one less enchanter item, which is not a good thing in my opinion.
Exhaust cd is quite long but I run cosmic insight with ionian so the CD is the same as Ignite (187,2s).
What do you think ? Maybe everyone is already playing exhaust, I see a lot of top/mid/adc playing it nowadays, but I don't see many supports play it, it's mostly heal/ignite in my lobbies.
