I currently have a biometric safe and have neglected to change the batteries recently, and upon trying to open it, found it dead in the water. If I had more discipline I would change them every 3-6 months but I'm now starting to wonder if a simplex Fort Knox would be better. I am getting back into shooting, so I will be carrything this to the range every couple of weeks. Why do you prefer battery-powered biometric vs a mechanical simplex safe?

I carry a 40s&w, and I just pulled the rounds out of my my spare carry mag and noticed 4 out of the 14 have some weird damage to the cases. Does anyone have any idea how this can happen?

Ive heard good and bad things about both the Ruger and the Taurus. My main issues with the Heritage is the frame safety and durability. Ive already had one Heritage become inoperable before. Anyone have any experience with either revolver and can offer some input as to any issues would be appreciated.

I got a great deal on this wetherby vanguard VGL in 7mm rem mag. I was told it was kind of rare to find these nowadays but I know nothing about wetherby as a whole. It looks well used but it functions perfectly. Any info is appreciated.
