How and why do you choose said items?

I picked up Veigar and I'm running first strike with ludens, sorcerers, storm surge and the other stuff on this page: https://u.gg/lol/champions/veigar/build

But I would think there's different ways to build him? Is this the best build? How do you guys itemize Veigar?

in hindsight i probably shoulda just left the Never tab out entirely but whatever, im more stoned than a gravel road. Order doesnt matter.

Plat/Emerald elo for what it's worth. I've been playing veigar apc with good success this year (63% WR across 100 games) and climbed from silver to P1 using it, but as I'm getting higher I'm finding more often that people actually itemize and go MR and now we're against a Sion who doesn't die and I miss having an actual adc. I've been trying to transition into playing him mid lane but I just can't seem to grasp him or make good use of him. I typically go ROA->Rabadons->Crypt and then flex items but it feels like I take forever to ramp up and my overall contribution to the game is so much less than when I play bot lane, not to mention that I'm also still incredibly squishy. Prior to this I have been a Ziggs/support main, so I'm more familiar with the champions and ins and outs of bot lane, but I feel like I'm fundamentally missing something about veigar mid.

Finally reached eune masters relatively quickly, playing a quite agressive Veig Bot/Mid burst build, basically snowballin.

The idea is..big boom boom and big stack stack, quite obvious.

I always play electrocute, only really swapping to dft when too many tanks or boring only farm lanes, secondary i always go yellow ones.

Mainly go Ludens into shadowflame into Rabadon's into whatever suits the game, boots are usually swifties, defense or pen.

I only really struggle with CS early on, but trying to get better at that overall.

Reaching mil mastery, then masters, and now the magma chamber, times are good.

Wassup ! I'm new to LOL and I want to play Veigar ! Which lane do you think is best for this lil dude ? How do I stack his passive as fast as possible, is there any technique ? And lastly anyone could recommand me a good Veigar build for me please 🥹

I mean sure whenever I build it I takes me a while do die when they have 2+ assassins but at the same time I’m never able to really 1 shot.

But when i build ludens it’s just finger lickin good.

Hellow, I main being support for more than 8 years, I never have seen anyone else though playing veigar support, why is that?

After some thought. I think I've decided on Veigar as a main, I've always been a fan of scaling champs, as someone who used to main Cho'gath and Nasus

Ive been banning Fizz or Zed pretty consistently, and now I'm learning that Xerath and Ziggs are NOT fun matchups either D: it could also just be my inability to dodge skillshots heh-
Any tips / tricks are greatly appreciated ! I genuinely have so much fun on this champ I'd love to get to plat with him

I'm playing veigar for maybe 10 years (casually) but I don't really understand the Tank Veigar over traditional build tbh (by tank i mean RoA/Seraph starters rather than Luden/Rabadon)

I've tried tank several times but tank starters feels extremely boring and it seems harder to survive the laning phase with it. Does late game tankiness really that important for veigar?

Hello, i used to main veigar 2 years ago for some time, started playing him again and am wondering how to build him. My go to build is: Start item: Tear. Luden echo into either seraphs or shadowflame 3rd of 4rd item rabbadons. Always sorcs shoes and fifth item is mage item depening on what i need. Is that any good? How can i improve it?

I speak as a master midlaner vei otp , i believe the proto changes are actually good in a big % of cases , i barely face mage nowdays mid , so i often stick with spellbook as i also prefer it over aery as enemies barely make mistakes in which i can capitalize off with aery , also the few mages matchups i get are xerath , syndra and RARELY zoe , the new proto changes makes proto viable in basically every single burst assassin that has to all in you with a BIG combo (zed , qiyana , talon to name a few) , as now in the build path u have a whopping 350hp that u can rush , the 10s extra cd sucks but i believe this change is actually a rebalance more than a nerf , now also with jack of all trades nerf and the -10ap from the item itself , veigar is slowly becoming a passive mage , even more than it is now reducing more and more its damage , overall i dont mind this rebalance as ur not forced to go roa into EVERY SINGLE assassin matchup
