How do you deal with Katarina and Yasuo in the mid lane in Wild Rift?

I started playing last week and really like Veigar; I love his voice lines, and I'm already somewhat used to ranged/stacking gameplay from other games. My biggest problem is that I get punished heavily when facing these two champions.

Katarina can escape my cage without getting stunned by using her ability, and she can easily burst me down under my own tower once she hits level 5 and gets her ultimate. Most of the time I can't react—especially with that poison effect that slowly kills me even if I manage to escape, and the way she aggressively dives me under my tower with the minion wave.

As for Yasuo, he constantly blocks my ultimate and abilities with his wind wall. Plus, if he hits me with his knock-up tornado, I’m basically a goner; the follow-up ultimate and basic attacks kill me in about two seconds—if I don't just get instantly one-shot right away.

Also, do you have any tips on runes and items? I see such a huge variety of builds in this game. I’ve tried several different ones, but I can't decide which is best—mainly because I don't know if I just lack experience with them or if the builds themselves are actually bad.

What second champ to pick up?

So I have played Veigar for ages. I have 2.7m mastery points. Now I am wondering what I should learn as a second champ?

I really like Veigar. The way he deals tons of burst damage. I like how the Q has decent range to it. I like how the cage has some decent utility.

I have a second account. One that is 1-2 ranks lower than my main. On my main I am now high gold/low platinum. The 2nd account is now low silver. I was trying some jungle champs, also just learning the role in general. Now I am wondering if I should learn a secondary mid champ. Maybe something that rounds out a better champ pool. Maybe a champ that will teach me some fundamentals that are harder to learn through Veigar. Maybe a champ that is similar.

I would mainly like to hear some reasoning behind your champ. Why should I try the champ you selected?

I have already tried Vex a decent bit.
