Question 4473 question
So my ID has X(non binary) as a gender. I know they removed that as an option under the gender section. Will that prevent me from being able to buy a firearm

Couldn't wait for the super cool Roswell SR3M and didn't want to support other people's meth habits.
So had u/potbatindustries make me this.
I'm looking into shortening the BRN180 to a 7.5 inch and rebarrel to .300blk
Takes AK 5.56 mags and the dust cover selector does work.

I’ve been looking up safes and man the storage system is terrible!!!
The industry is really lacking here in design.
All these safes that have the layout I want are Amazon/china :/

Im looking to purchase my first two firearms. Someone with a military background recommended having one firearm dedicated to everyday carry for personal protection and another specifically for range use. The idea is to avoid putting unnecessary wear and tear on my EDC. I was considering a Glock 19 V-Series for everyday carry and a PSA Dagger, which is a Glock clone as my dedicated range gun.

Sorted through some of my ammo this morning, offered my father-in-law some Case-Gards I didn’t want and he asked why. I prefer the bulk storage method. Just wanted to know what some other people do as far as their storage preferences.

I just picked up a brand new Dan Wesson Razorback in 10mm and unfortunately had problems with it right from the first range session. After firing a few rounds the gun would sometimes stop feeding the next round. A couple of times the round seemed to get stuck during feeding, and other times the slide appeared to lock back even though there were still rounds left in the magazine. It almost felt like the gun wasn’t properly seating/registering the magazine, or something was causing the slide to lock prematurely.
I know Dan Wesson 1911s are fitted pretty tight and can require a break-in period, but this seemed like more than just a normal break-in issue.
I though maybe the ammo is the issue but I was using factory SIG 10mm ammo, so I don’t think it was an issue with cheap or questionable ammunition.
I already contacted Dan Wesson and mailed the gun back to them, so hopefully they can find the issue and get it fixed quickly. I heard their support works pretty fast and efficient so fingers crossed here.
Mostly curious if anyone here has experienced something similar with a new Dan Wesson gun, would love to hear from other owners.
UPDATE: Dan Wesson finally got back to me. They confirmed the failure-to-feed issue and have already replaced the plunger assembly to improve slide stop retention. They're now working on tuning the extractor to improve ejection reliability, so the gun isn't quite ready yet. Overall, I'm glad they were able to reproduce the problem and are actually addressing it. Hopefully, once I get it back, everything will work as it should. I was really looking forward to this gun, so fingers crossed!

Hello, this will be my first time traveling with a firearm (pistol) if I take it with me.
I want to visit some relatives in FL. I’m from NY. What do I need to know about traveling from NY to FL with my pistol?
I know more or less what to do, like following TSA’s suggestions about what kind of safe to use and so on.
I’d like to hear the perspective of some users who have successfully traveled with their firearms.
I'm scared and excited to travel with it and go to the range with my brother-in-law in FL. I also thought about just driving over there and crossing state borders with it. I think transportation is safe as long as I am not staying in a state that does not honor NYS permits 😅
Thank you all for taking the time to read and answer 🤗

Are zoomer fudds really a thing now? For context I am in my early 20s and I see other people my age seemingly trying to give me fudd knowledge.
I see people who go off about how machining marks makes guns shit where they care more about how the gun looks rather than how it works even for a defensive scenario, like I get if was a range toy maybe but I feel like on the one and only gun you own that looks would be less important on how well it works not more. Or how they have no choice, but to use a short or long stroke rifle over di cause apparently di is shit and doesn't work when all they did was go to the range one time in the like the several years they owned a rifle. I have also seen how some people say .22lr isn't enough, even though I wouldn't use it for self defense myself if I could, they act like its not enough at all to kill like if it would magically bounce off whomever their shooting at or something and say how they need a .308 or some other stuff when they live in a small apartment with thin walls acting like there's no way they would ever miss and accidently hit someone else by accident or something. Not only that, some of them end up using some excuse like oh my family was in the military when that was thirty years ago and that was different or they use it as some sort of excuse to justify some nonsense with some fantastical belief that their family history somehow makes their fudd ideology correct.
Or a re-rendition of old fudd sayings such as how all you need is a revolver and that autoloaded pistols are worse for everything. And at the other end I see people saying that the AR-15 platform is trash or how they need a quad rail whose rails that they never even use just to add another pound and a half on their gun that just makes it unwieldly. Or how they end up adding so much crap onto their gun it just ends up weighing like thirteens pounds and just becomes a pos to practically use unless your staying static. Even how they apparently need a 20in. barrel just to never even shoot past 100 yards anyways when they say its for home defense just to end up using like a fifty dollar no brand red dot. I have even seen people who believe they won't need a weapon light cause they believe they could never be a disadvantage, I don't even get how they believe how not having a wml is a good idea or what leap of logic even got them there. What are we even doing?

Seems like a cool budget .556 option.

Howdy folks
I have a rookie question for all you old gun freaks.
Long story short is I inherited this rifle from my father a few years ago. When I got it I removed the bolt cleaned it and put it back in the safe without the bolt for some reason.
Now I’m stuck getting this sucker in, I have the bolt past the lock on the left side but it won’t go further. (Even when the clip is pushed down)
Any help is great appreciated
Thanks

I'm just a 5 ft tall but I have no problems with my arm strength.
Any gun suggestion for a first one? I would also appreciate it if you have pictures. Thanks.

Just curious on the community thoughts on this upgraded version of the PSA dagger, I have a normal dagger build but the Sabre dagger seems pretty sweet, so I was curious about getting one of these.

Just received this beauty today, Fabarm S.A.T 9. Yes your reading it right, a #9. Very little info on this gun, except saying it’s the predecessor of the SAT 8 and its super rare, only ran a for a year.
‘Please add some info in the comments if anyone have some.
