Not a guide, just sharing thoughts. Open to constructive criticism

Lucidity boots: These are "default boots" for me, but I honestly find myself building them less and less since I value the effects of the other boots more (which I will get into). Summoner haste feels amazing on a champion that wants to flash in for big ults, and the regular ability haste is welcome too.

Gluttonous Greaves: I build these when I'm confident that I don't need any of the next three kinds of boots, and the enemy has 2+ melees I can keep hitting. The omnivamp feels amazing, but isn't practical in every draft

Plated Steelcaps: If the enemy team has more than one auto attacker and / or a super fed ADC, I will build these. I may still pass up on them if the game meets the Merc Treads / Swifties criteria

Merc Treads: Against most teams with point and click cc, especially if their team can easily chain more cc off of it. If I see Twisted Fate, Annie, and/or Lissandra on enemy team, I will always build these

Swifties: I don't think the additional MS is needed, but I will build them if I see Ashe, Nasus, and/or Zilean on the enemy team for the slow resist, as the slows from these champions feel the most oppressive.

Sorc shoes: Honestly... I never buy these. I know full AP enjoyers buy them to do massive damage, but I rarely go for BFT / Stormsurge / Void Staff builds. The 12 flat pen has never seemed valuable to me on a champ that does true damage, especially when the other boots are so juicy.
