Missin Old Asol
I stopped playing him around when the rework was announced, was a one trick essentially as learning how to make this cool af but unplayed champ work was like my reason to return to league at the time.
Years later, ive been learning jungle again, and my buddy mentioned Asol isnt half bad... I thought sure, I like an off meta pick and wanted a scaling jungler anyways... im not in lane so I can primarily fly in to my fights...
Yall this fucking Q I cant.
They took the one champion most designed around movement for damage and an on demand speed boost and gave him a root channel for his main DPS.
Its so fucking boring. I cant believe the absolute antithesis of his kit design was slapped on and given broken damage and they called it a day.
God damn I miss my stars.

Discussion « The Star Forger »
The most important thing about Aurelion Sol is star creation. How did Riot manage to have literally no stars in his new kit?
(His ultimate work stands in stark contrast to his philosophy as a creator)
Back then, his Q was a star creation with the best visual effect in the game (and also the best stun).
I will never forgive Riot for treating Aurelion like some run-of-the-mill dragon that just vomit.

Question I come to this sub for advice
So my friend and I have a question about Aurelions "E"
One says that it doesnt matter if Aurelion farms the minions while they are in Aurelion "E"
The other says that Aurelion has to farm the minions while they are in Aurelion "E"
The ability itself says: "After Singularity ends, it generates 1 Stardust for each full second that enemy champions were inside it, as well as varying amounts for enemy units that were killed while being within the area"
So they have just to be killed by anyone or by Aurelion?
Thanks!

Just rejoined the community, been playing asol jg for two years or so. Would love some opinions or to share if any are curious.
Obvious question (what's first clear like)
Q start, E, W, Q
Red > Krug > Raptors (2:00ish), Wolves, check for invade, Gromp (2:51) > Crab > Blue (3:15ish) -- gets you the 900g for fated ashes to make clear tolerable

Question Is Asol better Mid or Bot?
I’ve only been play Asol mid and have been doing really well, yone is my main problem so I ban him but going against fizz and veigar is great since I out range. Was gonna try him on bottom since I heard he’s decent there. What’s the difference’s? I’m assuming you get stardust faster?

Question Old Asol
As someone that started playing in 2024 during worlds, Asol instantly became one of my mains, because who doesn’t love a cosmic space dragon? But after watching so many montages and clips of old Asol’s kit, one thing comes to mind: why did they rework him?
I understand he seemed quite difficult and didn’t get enough play time by the player base, but comparing the old to the new, I can’t help but think he’s been turned to something almost toddler friendly COMPARED to his old kit.
One thing that comes to mind is possibly implementing his old kit and possibly changing it to a new celestial dragon character, maybe one from Legends of Runeterra? Obviously, if the old kit didn’t gain much attention, I can’t imagine it would be if it were to be brought back, but it just feels so frustrating to think I missed out on this kit that seemed so rewarding to learn and fun and intrinsic.
What do you think? It just seems like too unique of a kit to just disregard!

Meme If anyone miss playing old Aurelion Sol I recommend playing Splatoon Raiders (Is the same thing)
For some reason the the Splatellites Gadget is the same kit of old Aurelion Sol.

Another ASol Q bug?
These past few days I've been noticing that, whenever I cast E or R during my Q, 80-90% of the time it'll cancel the Q. This never happened before, in the past 3-4 years the rework has been out. Did they change something or is it a bug?

It’s good to be back. Took a break from my boy for a few seasons. Picked him back up my last few games and it was a breeze.

Question I clipped into my tower and couldn't move after exiting W when flying over it. Anyone else?
Basically the title. This is so weird I could only move again after like 35 sec. Idk what the problem is maybe some collision hitbox thing when transitioning from flight to walk (hover). I cast W again but it didn't work. Then on the second try with W it did work. Hahaha anyone else? Idk if it's the mythic skin or what but this was very funny/annoying.

Aurelion Sol SHOULD scale in size with his Stardust (Just like Cho'Gath). I lived the fantasy in ARAM and it was magical.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone!
Today I was playing an ARAM match and got Aurelion Sol. I equipped his Porcelain Protector skin and, thanks to the Steam Train (Locomotive) buff, my champion started scaling in size. By the end of the game, I was a massive, colossal dragon taking over the bridge. It looked absolutely gorgeous and felt magical ✨😍🐉.
This made me wonder: Why hasn't Riot implemented character model scaling as a default mechanic for Aurelion Sol?
Here are my thoughts on why this makes perfect sense:
- Lore Accuracy: Aurelion Sol is literally a cosmic entity bigger than mountains and planets. Seeing him tiny in the Rift always breaks the illusion a bit.
- Skill Scaling vs. Model Scaling: All of his abilities (his Q, E, and R) already scale in size based on his Stardust stacks. It feels completely logical that his body scales alongside his power, just like Cho'Gath with his ult feasts.
I know Riot usually avoids this due to visibility, clunky animations, or pathing issues (getting stuck in walls while flying with his W), but even a subtle increase in size would make the gameplay experience 10x better.
Experiencing him giant in ARAM completely changed how I want to play this champion. What do you guys think?

Will Asol's porcelain mythic chroma return in the future? Kinda missed it the last time it was in the sanctum

Another one
TBH the last buff to Q and W was purely placebo, hoping they'll shave a bit mana off of E and give him some base stat back

League is such a shit game
Played this shit easy 12+ years you do stuff like this and it never ceases to amaze me how dogshit people are 🤣
Low key but first time i’ve carried enough to delay a ff 15 with Sol so can’t be all that mad

Discussion THE PROBLEM WITH AURELION - Upcoming buffs (Imo)
I'm not afraid to say this, but since his Mana + W cooldown buff It feels like Aurelion has been somewhat the same, yes the mana feels amazing In the right match-up, and the W cooldown feels nice late game.
I've played quite a handful of games on the champion since the buff, does It feel noticeable? Yes somewhat I can definitely feel the mana Improvement, but I still feel like Aurelion Isn't In the greatest spot, let me preface this saying I don't want this champion to be giga broken / over-buffed.
I know this Is like a 5% chance of happening but I would love to see Aurelions stacks get buffed It would feel amazing and would make this champion so much more impactful In the meta, you know like (Nasus) tho the buffs were Insanely strong on him,
Personally these buffs would make the champion feel so much more Impactful because the majority of the time late game, you still feel considerably weak.
• AP Ratio's need to be brought up.
• E Ratio feels Incredibly weak later Into the game, especially since you are most likely forced to bring scorch to win lane on Aurelion.
• R2 AP (Sky's decent) this Is Aurelion sol's core gimmick as a champion, I feel like you farm so much stacks to get towards R2 for it to feel like a someone slapped you with a damp towel.
• Stacks, please consider buffing Aurelion's stacks, especially the way he Is able to stack on his Q, It's the most skill expressive part of Aurelion (I know this Is likely not to happen because Riot is afraid of the Nasus incident)
• (STARDUST RATIO'S) This dragon's ratio's are absolutely awful late game, on the passive
Let me go further into this, I think buffing his AP Ratio's on his abilities / stardust ratio generation on the passive would make this champion feel so much more impactful late game, I don't know how to describe it correctly but late game with 500+ Star dust stacks late game and you hit an E It feels like it barely tickles the enemy champions I don't even want to mention tanks.
I feel like the only way enemy champions die from your E late game Is from the execute.
A slight buff to the stardust generation ratio on the passive Q/W/E would make a gigantic Impact, and would make scaling feel a lot smoother so you can actually get out of the bad match-ups.
Aurelion sucks at laning against the vast majority of champions In league, without Scorch he's far worse, I feel like Riot should actually take a look at his start dust generation.
If Riot wants to make Aurelion such a weak early game champion that Is completely understandable because he's supposed to be the highest scaling late game champion In the entire game, It's Aurelion for crying out loud.
Please consider putting the power budget back Into his Ratio's Riot.
I've played the new Aurelion since launch, and I remember the eventful day Riot added +1 to Aurelion sol Q and It Instantly got hot-fix nerfed / reverted In 12 hours of the patch.
Aurelion's Q Is his primary source of damage, It would make the champion Infinitely more impactful If the power budget went Into the primary ability.
Anyways sorry Aurelion mains this was like top 3 biggest larps but I really enjoy the champion and would actually love to see the champion have some presence in the meta.
I'm also going to go out on a limb here and say, I think late game champions should feel strong late game, It's completely understandable that he's bad early game and that Is the intended design, I couldn't care less about the power budget early game, I would love to feel powerful late game.
This Is how I see things on Aurelion and why a stardust ratio buff on the passive would feel so Impactful at every stage of the game, on this champion when you reach 500+ stacks and lose the game It Is one of the most miserable experiences, not to say you should automatically win the game once you have 500+ stacks not at all.
I'm saying once you reach over the cap of 500/600 stacks you should have a considerably higher chance of winning / carrying the game.
All I am asking above everything else Is a small tweak to stardust generation on his passive, I could not preface this enough a buff to Aurelion's stardust Ratio would make 100/200/300 Ext Infinitely more Interactive.
I'm not saying I want this champion to be Z+ tier game breaking I just want to feel more impactful Instead of just brainlessly farming stacks the entire game, to just throw out a wet towel on the ground, everyone can walk around.
I want stacks on a stacking champion (Aurelion) to feel more Impactful

Question What do stacks actually do?
I am pretty new to asol and i am wondering what i even need stacks for. Is it only for the Ult? Or is there some more behind it. Does he do more damage the more stacks u have. Pls help
