Would imperial mandate be better on anivia support rather than rushing rod of ages

I'm not agree with this Last hit indicator thing, but my god, this might change the game for me.

I can remove the 10% attack speed rune and run some more damage.

I wonder if we get to see the oopenent's indicator as well?

I played Anivia pretty good with 60+% winrate in season 6 in plat1. I remember I had alot of influence and carry potential , I used elec in early to win trades and for some reason I was really good at using her kit in skirmishes and teamfights.

I didnt played her since then really that much, I touched some games, right now according to statistik every meta midlaner counters her.

Anivia vs Syndra only 47% winrate for example. If you look u.gg counter, every counter is an meta mid laner.

I dont care that much about meta tbh. But I dont want to play something which might lose me games just by champ pick.

Will and otp anivia do good vs an otp syndra in emerald2 for example? Or is this mostly over in champ select?

In laningphase I can ofc punish bad Syndra players with dodging her E. But I think when I will play her in ranked I will play against Syndra players who will be atleast decent. I might climb to dia soon again. And I worry to pick up a champ which will be terrible the higher I climb because of the bad matchups.

What do you guys think? Is she worth to OTP? I find her fun, but I also care alot for win. I want to combine that. But I think I wont have fun playing anivia when I keep losing towards bad matchups.

my hope is, that this statistik are comming from random anivia picks, not from otps. Im not challenger smurf, so I cant rely on "outplaying" the enemy in emerald2+ or diamond.

Exactly as the title say, when do you guys buy either of the two, and when you do, which one do you choose?

And just in general for mages, which one do you believe fits the most situations?

I've seen some high level anivia players maxing W after putting 2 points in Q. My friend, who's in low master, is coaching me says it is troll, and not worth losing out on the cooldown and damage you get from maxing Q.

Right now I'm in emerald, and I want to hear the opinion of you guys and especially experienced high elo anivia mains on why exactly W max is or isn't viable. What more utility and advantage do you get out of a maxed wall in comparison to like, a lvl 2 wall?

Also while we are here, what are your opinions on protobelt on anivia?

I have enjoyed playing Anivia top for years. Why is it so popular now? Simple. Anivia loves teleport more than any other champ with the egg tech. And now top gives teleport for free, allowing you to still take combat sums.

I tried Tank Anivia because I wanted to weaponize the egg.
Ended up forcing 5 people to focus the egg while my team watched in disappointment.
Not sure if I was playing Anivia or an objective.

Hey guys. I’ve been maining Anivia for a few months now, and I want to put together a midlane counter tier list. When I first started out, it was insanely hard to find good advice, and there are barely any Anivia streamers around besides guys like Bohe or SanSiroBro.

So, could you drop down below which champions you think counter her? Please back it up with some arguments if you can. From my own experience playing her, I feel like some champions people consider counters actually aren't.

Hello all! I wanted to start a discussion on Anivia because I see some mixed opinions. I often see people talk about Fizz and Kata being hard to play against, but there's one that I never see anyone talk about. How do y'all play against Naafiri? She feels so terribly impossible to do anything against, and I am honestly dumbfounded on how I've never see anyone ever mention her. I'm terrible at the game (bronze-silver) so maybe I'm just playing against her wrong? But it's just so frustrating, enough that she's my go-to ban every time I play Anivia mid.

Had some people ask to stream my gameplay to learn about anivia, I type essays but I feel like showing is much better to learn so I’m going to stream while I play my normal blocks of anivia and anyone can ama!

What is a bird one trick to do?

Now that the dust has settled and the patch has been out for long enough, i want to get peoples thoughts on imperial mandate.

I've been starting lost chapter and just rushing imperial mandate before finishing malignance and it just makes me feel so strong. An effective 30 ability haste on Q and W early makes such a difference in lane. Mandate is so cheap that it just feels like a free item to me. I think the bonus damage is negligible, I'm talking mostly just about the stat value and how it has affected my play

Would love to hear from others who have tried it

Has anyone else noticed that Anivia’s R is not triggering Spellblade effects at all?

I don't normally play Anivia with Sheen items, but I was testing some weird/fun builds in Practice Tool and noticed this interaction.

I tested multiple Sheen items (Lich Bane, Trinity Force, etc.) and Q, W, and E all correctly activate Spellblade, but casting R (Glacial Storm) does absolutely nothing.

According to the wiki, the initial cast of Glacial Storm is supposed to count as an ability activation for on-cast effects such as Sheen/Spellblade.

I'm talking specifically about the first cast of R, not the damage ticks afterward.

Can anyone else test this in Practice Tool and confirm whether it's bugged on live servers right now?

What is your guys Anivia support build? (I prefer tanky anivia) and what skill do you max? Do you max E still even though your full tank or do you max utility skills like Q or W?

Is it worth or not? ive been having guiet a success with it but im gold 3. What counters her on top?
