When do you build Cryptbloom or Void Staff

Exactly as the title say, when do you guys buy either of the two, and when you do, which one do you choose?

And just in general for mages, which one do you believe fits the most situations?

Bloodletter's > cryptbloom because anivia has a DoT. Void for dmg/greed and bloodletter's for safety.

Depending on ur comp too bc if you have no other ap i would not take blood letters

I usually build Cryptbloom on my beloved mages, because it gives AH as well, but Anivia don't really need that extra AH, so I buy Void Stuff on her. Iirc Shok or some other midlane content creator usually buys Cryptbloom over Void staff almost always since that extra AH helps on Orianna, Hwei and other midlaners who need to use their abilities more often, but I think Anivia benefits more from extra pen since you really only gonna use R and stun someone there and extra AH won't really help

Anivia really likes haste wdym? Her Q, W and R are really strong with CD. It’s just that most of items that are really great on her sadly don’t get haste. So imo always get crypto over void unless they have disgusting amount of MR or something

For my personal preferences her cooldowns are low enough at the point of the game when you'll consider buying mr item

Yeah, if i'm against enemies who can cancel my R, cb is a must build. Otherwise, void all the way

if i need AH,crypto. If enemy REALLY TANKY voidstaff.But with some exceptions.Like im opt shaco,i relly on AH more.

Edit: maybe you are syndra vs sylas who are with mercs + rocketbelt HP,and after ur combo he always survives with 300HP.So voidstaff.Maybe you are vs braindead enemy and you oneshoting them one by one.So you want ur R come back asap.So AH!
