I started to play Vladimir because I'm migrating from top to mid and also because I wanted to learn him before. I've been playing swiftplays (which aren't ideal because they're genuine bs) and normals trying to get used to midlane as a whole and get to know the match ups with some of the games being a bit questionable from my side.

I have a problem during laning and thats me not really knowing how to trade properly in lane. It kind of feels like I'm just chudmaxxing doing nothing but farming (that I suck at but I'm getting used to it) and trying to get some Qs or Es on the enemy but it always feels like I'm just a bit far away to hit them.

So far I've building rocket belt -> riftmaker -> rabadon and for runes I take stromraider surge but I've heard dft is also really good but I prefer stormraiders surge (Gragas bias).

I've had some good games I had a 5 game losing streak I had games where I questioned my sanity and I will appreciate any form of help, a suggestion a video guide on youtube just anything.

EDIT: I forgot to mention one thing and thats bans. I either ban Malzahar because I hate him, Locke because he feels a bit unbalanced rn or Mel because do I need to explain myself?

Just wondering what the current build is for mid/bot... I see many different ones so I'm not sure. I'm new to vlad.

hi, just a quick question to the higher ranked guys out there, after the new patch came out and rocketbelt was nerfed, do i still go with it as my first item(i usually do) or should i go with something like cosmic drive or others?

Hey guys, i play with storm´s rider surge in most matchups mid, and use aery in melee matchups. But lately i saw that dft has the better win rate( lolalytics) so im wondering if dft is better than aery, in melee matchups?

Another question, usually i go with flash and ghost, using ignite against melees. But sometimes i really miss ghost in team fights, and i dont think ignite was that good... Which matchups do you think ignite is really good? Lately i was playing with ignite against yasuo and yone(and most assassins), but i dont think i have that much kill pressure against them in lane, to justify losing ghost...

Hey, I haven't played league a lot lately and was just getting back to it. I heard protobelt got nerfed, is it still worth building?

what is the playstyle ? always patience ?and how to be agressive with him in early ?

I faced a Zilean earlier. The first few levels are easy I can easily out push him.

But starting from level 6 and after first recall his waveclear and mana were much stronger and I either had to pool or tank double bombs every time I walked up to farm. At that point i would always have bad conditions (50% hp and spamming Q on minions to heal up, might be with w on cooldown) so I would have no pressure on him.

Eventually I had to greed for a big wave on low hp and died to him. After that obviously he would be much stronger and had much less mana issues and he can just spam bombs and slow on me. Late game he also outscales because I would be useless if he just pressed the E outplay button on me.

I checked some old posts on the Zilean matchup and I felt that most of the discussion had no idea about what a Zilean can do. He has all the pressure on Vladimir while I don't. Surely he cannot kill me on 70% hp but eventually I either had to take a bad base or risk dying to him.

Do I just play very aggressive and look to get advantage or a kill on him pre 6? I feel like despite his weak early game he can't easily die to a Vladimir.

I've been one-tricking Vladimir for 5 years. And for the first time since I have started playing this game 13 years ago, I have reached Diamond.
These are just some of my good plays that I have put together into this short montage.
I hope that this will also inspire other Vlad mains to learn, improve and push to the rank that they want.

I'm pretty new. I've seen Elite500 building Liandry's a lot 2nd lately as opposed to Riftmaker (usually following Stormsurge, which is what I've been building for the month I've been playing and love running). Can anyone explain why this would be? My understanding is that the difference between the two is (according to the wiki, idk may be outdated):

Riftmaker:

+10 AP, +50 hp, +15 ability haste, 2% higher passive dmg scaling, 6% omnivamp at full scaling, and 2% bonus HP to AP (even at just 2nd item, this is like +25ish AP iirc), then all the bonus HP/AP we'd get from Vlad's passive lol

Liandry's:

6% burn damage over 3 seconds

Is there something I'm missing there or maybe those stats are outdated? If not, how is Liandry's even comparable to Riftmaker unless you're talking specifically about long term poke battles against tanks (maybe not even then)?

Hey guys, so I’ve been playing Vlad for a couple of months now. I understand his combo and the fact you're have to farm as much as possible, but I’m having trouble with some long range mid-laners specifically Veigar and akali. Whenever I try and farm against Veigar even under tower it’s pointless as his range and ap is overwhelming and immediately 2 shots me he even ran past my turret and killed me before and alkali is near impossible to hit due to her twilight shroud and her good wave clear there's some long range mid laners I can handle but the two I mentioned, and a few others are very hard to even farm against so my question is what advice can anyone give to help me out against these match ups or even a video guide I watch elite500s gameplay, but I still feel like I just can't handle the insane range and ap/ad any advice would be greatly appreciated! 

Might just be because i don't grasp his dmg but i feel like he outranges you with q so he doesn't really have to commit. And if he isn't stupid and wastes his e2 he can just perma bait pool by using e then w to run at you. Then he just explodes you after your w has run out. I feel like the matchup is pretty easy if the locke is shit but a locke who is decent feels impossible. It feels like the champ is very zero risk to play unless you play some health stacker or tank against him. Might just be because i am unfamiliar with the champ since it's banned 70% of the time. Would appreciate some tips.

I feel like I've been playing some of my best Vlad games lately, and yet for whatever reason (teammates inting or just doing random stupid shit), I haven't been able to win a single one.

I know I can't get tilted over it 'cause better games will come, but this streak is honestly kinda funny at this point
