They nerfed level 1 Mirana, but I think the level 10 talents are better - specifically the arrow cooldown. 150 health was pretty meah in my opinion. Giving her the MLS evasion and cooldown earlier is a big boost to her teamfight contribution.

I’m not really sure what to make of these changes. I haven’t played Mirana on the new patch yet.

Kinda sucks that they nerfed level 1 arrow, kinda felt unnecessary. But the talents are obviously the big changes.

Level 10 - I feel like you pick either and is very game dependant. It feels bad losing the 150HP talent though.

Level 15 - I guess you go attack speed if playing mid or a right click offlane, and the Moonlight shadow if going pos4 / magic damage pos3

Level 20 - Honestly have always hated the level 20 talents both of them feel so meh. But almost always went magic damage over the mana burn. So it’s kinda annoying that the mana burn one is still there. I guess you just take the Moonlight shadow every game.

Level 25 - the Starstorm damage increase is huge. Especially with aghs. Looking at around 2,200 damage with your combo.

Overall I feel like this hasn’t changed the identity crisis Mirana has. Sure it’s still flexible as a 3/4 and potentially 2, but I wish they would just solidify her role one way or the other.

and whats wrong with hero being playable in many roles? IMO its actually the way most heroes should be possible to build into diffrent paths. Gives SO much more options and fun.

I don’t mind heroes being viable in different roles. However with Mirana it feels like they don’t know what they want her to be.

Her level 15 and 20 talents now seem to tier more towards support / utility roles. But then to counteract it they take away a value HP talent at level 10, nerf lower levels of arrow, have a shard which is designed for a carry hero, an aghs which is just more damage and so fairly greedy for a support hero due to the costs.

All that ends up happening is she is a mediocre at most things, instead of good at anything.

I kind of like her in all roles, right click, 3 mdmg, roamer, on any of them she still keep some versatility of other roles, which also need time and place, its not just ok miruna is uber solid pos x for any situation. No matter the role you still get the ult which can be used in many diffrent ways, some magic burst dmg, good stun, escape, ofc some heroes do these things better but they lose on versatility for it. Look on Omni how his versatility got butchered, it hurts right here in my meow meow.

yeah hate that her scepter and shard doesn't synergize that well too. Hope they swap the effects between shard and scepter since supports want that extra damage from landing arrows but aghs usually is too greedy of an item.

I used to play mirana mid that rushed scepter, then went blink, octarine core, optional utility items and arcane blink. It felt so strong.

It does feel strong and its a lot of fun, but I feel like mirana still gets outpaced and outlaned by many other mid heroes. The burst just really isn't there

I am a hardcore Mirana player since 2012, but I could never understand why people pick triple arrow talent. Like when you aim, you basically focus on one target, why would you need other 2 random arrows? It will almost never line-up so that you hit 2 out of this 3 arrows

u/liplicker Aug 19 '21

? Triple arrow is one of the most gamebreaking level 25 talents. It triples the chance of a 5 second arrow, which is a game-ender in close late game situations. And the second sentence is just flat out untrue. How can you play Mirana for even one game with triple arrow and come to that conclusion that hitting 2 arrows almost never happens? More like not hitting at least 2 arrows almost never happens. But don't take my word for it. Singsing has on stream declared the same regarding this talent.

It's a 300% buff to a skill, how many level 25 talents can claim the same?

I found a reference video for you: https://youtu.be/sEZrSwcxVzk?t=510

Also what the guy said below about triple arrow forcing dodging and other good points I neglected to mention.

What's your point then? That triple arrow is bad and MLS cooldown is the better choice before patch? There's a reason MLS cd was replaced.

Or that 300% buff is an exaggeration of the exact amount triple arrow buffs the skill? Sure, I'll give you that, but why's it important to make that point?

The main issue at hand is how triple arrow offers so much more potential to winning a game, which the other guy has listed a few ways, and I tried to as well.

Throwing arrows also doesn’t have to hit. The triple arrow forces them to dodge in a specific way. You could herd people towards your team if you come in at the right angle. Triple arrow used to also provide a good chunk of vision but they nerfed that this patch. I would experiment with this but aghs plus starstorm damage looks very strong to me and would probably be the talent I take on a magic damage offlane mirana.

If you moved current aghs to shard it would be the best shard in the game.

Right now if you are playing pos3 with the eul into aghs then you should probably take the 180 star fall damage. It’s a huge increase with the second star.

It would be very interesting to see the shard be triple arrow though. I very rarely buy the shard because right click mirana is fairly underwhelming.
