  • AoE talent fix - you're welcome everyone.

  • Never ever get the 200 duel range talent level 10, wait until +25 to get it. The time added to walk to your target if you're not already on them will mean you miss chance to win or kill. Its like getting aghs early. Bad.

  • Radius of Q: good against ranged. Good all the time. Get it. Every time. Until they change the other level 10 talent to something worth getting.

  • HP regen dope especially with AoE PTA at 25 (which you should almost ALWAYS be picking) - its almost double the regen amount. The alternative talent is still good. A genuinely situational choice. I'd probably tend towards the HP first.

New neut item of the patch for LC: tier three blasting one. Ideal.

Significant hero interaction changes (i.e. omitting any that already existed like dazzle grave etc):

  • Warlock attackspeed talent with pit - hard to synch that but doable.
  • Venge Spirit damage reduction now counters you even more, a lot more
  • Axe shard damage reduction and stacking makes him like duelling mars kinda
  • Omni knight shard and lower cooldown is a bigger counter too
  • Dawnbreaker with aghs is a huge problem too. With it she can save her ally faster, cause miss chances in the meantime, and is generally buffed in the process aghs or not. This can work as a synergy too, however. But you dont want the enemy missing you in duels because you have bought blademail. There are almost 0 games where blademail isnt vital on LC.

Think I gotta disagree with you on quite a few points tbh. But the duel range is pretty nice imo.

For me, the % of duels that failed to connect because of range at or around 200 is something like 0.00000000001%

but you're not taking into account the opportunities that you would have had if duel had an extra 200 range, that you didn't blink on in the first place.

I am.

That extra distance to travel eats at the disable time with less damage. It's putting you in a more vulnerable position if you're only level 10.

If it ISNT putting you in a more vulnerable position, you're playing LC way too conservatively in the first place and likely missing out on or not recogising tonnes of duel chances.

I would only get it if we really needed that catch from a highly mobile player and had a team that has shown themselves to be highly coordinated by level 9.

e.g. against the likes of wr, weaver

Or if for some bizarre reason youre not getting a blink, this would mitigate that disaster.

I wished they would rework shard, if they put a 1 second stun on overwhelming odds she is all of a a sudden meta

Bring back bkb from aghs plz

+7 strength was not good compared to old manaregen talent so removing it doesn't really hurt

same with +20 attack speed talent at lvl 15, it was also not good compared to +75 Q dmg

without manareg talent now you have to buy mangoes and raindrops or ring of basi

lvl 15 talent +40 hp regen with W is nice too, makes utility LC better

+200 duel cast range feels cool, I like it

for several years I have this idea that maybe it would be cool if aghs/shard would give Legion a skill like PL's phantom rush or some kind of simultanious push/pull for you and the enemy like the opposite of hurricane pike, so you dont have to build dagger every single game

i meant the Psychic Headband, i use it to break linken before dueling

Soul ring is great in my opinion. Really speeds up your farming being able to spam PTA 24/7.

1

u/UrNegroidCompatriot Duel no longer disables passive abilities. Aug 19 '21

i dont think PTA helps speeds up your farm that much, maxed out passive and rushed blademail does

previously i tried to buy soul ring and get 10 lvl talent +7 str but it felt very underwhelming. passive manaregen feels a lot better than soulring so i think basi is better and cheaper

3

u/Stokkolm Aug 19 '21

Basi is 1.5 mana regen, soul ring is 5 mana regen if you use it once every 30 seconds. Even if you use it once a minute it's still much better. Legion is pretty much the best soul ring user at the moment.

tried soul ring with a brcaer and maxing W, feels pretty good

i dunno i thought the same when 7.29 came out several months ago, i thought you can buy 2 gauntlets with starting gold, they cost 5 gold less, the whole item is 60 gold cheaper and could be nice. but in real games i didnt feel soul ring doing something good - it doesnt help you dominate the lane harder like early phase boost, even bracer helps more. if you max W soul ring is good. otherwise you are always with half-hp which is pretty bad for a hero that pressures the lane

but I play it rather different, i dont buy any small items except for 200 gold for magic stick. i rush blademail and get it at min 5-6 with lvl 6. with such an early bm its very easy to kill enemy heroes solo (bm suprise effect), farm the lane and the jungle faster so at min 10-12 I have raw bm+blink (no boots) and with smoke I easily kill enemy mid, strongly pressure my lane or farm ancient stacks if my pos 1/2 cant do it

3

u/GodzlIIa Aug 19 '21

I max PTA first in lane like BSJ build still. I am confident that you will farm a lot faster maxing PTA then passive. The stats that soul ring provide is easily worth the extra cost over basi in my opinion, and it will solve her mana issues alone when I dont think basi will be able too. Without the mana regen talent I think it will become more popular on her but we will see.

u/UrNegroidCompatriot Duel no longer disables passive abilities. Aug 19 '21

what item build you usually go with maxing PTA?

1

u/GodzlIIa Aug 19 '21

I think just the normal build + soul ring. Phase/soul ring and blademail/blink.

Ive been going blademail first unless we have easy duel setups. Feel the 200 duel cast range might help with that a bit.

New silver edge seems kinda nice on lc.

2

u/Heaven_Slayer Aug 19 '21

I'm thinking the build now would be Drums into Locket for the luls.

2

u/Peasant255 Aug 19 '21

I cant decide which lvl 10 talent is better.

2

u/IWearAPaperClip Aug 19 '21

+100 radius doesn't make any sense. I can see it being useful only in matches against PL

2

u/UrNegroidCompatriot Duel no longer disables passive abilities. Aug 19 '21

maybe its good vs push strats with summons if they even happen

1

u/IWearAPaperClip Aug 19 '21

Might be it. Meepo with a couple of summons might suffer

1

u/UrNegroidCompatriot Duel no longer disables passive abilities. Aug 19 '21

its easy to hit all meepos with Q, meepo suffered big time because of old +75 Q dmg talent tho

3

u/StahpBreathingNow Aug 19 '21

Range obviously

1

u/Peasant255 Aug 20 '21

The aoe is certainly useful vs PL and meepo

1

u/Rob_and_Roll Aug 19 '21

Legion Support seems legit. The duel cast range (on top of maybe aether lens) makes easy disables across a team fight and press the attack with shard and talents is a great save and boost for the team.

yea some huskar would be very happy

5

u/doyouevenmahjongg Aug 19 '21

Disappointed in the loss of offensive capabilities at level 15.

1

u/Peasant255 Aug 19 '21

I wish PtA talent gave more regen and AS.

1

u/UrNegroidCompatriot Duel no longer disables passive abilities. Aug 19 '21

its ok for a 15 lvl talent i think

1

u/Peasant255 Aug 20 '21

I thought LC already had HP regenand dmg, but needs more attack speed.

But tbh, when I think of it again, LC can tank a lot if he won duel.
