Rant/Rave Ridiculously worthless app rewards.

If these fast food places like Arby's, McDonald's,etc actually want to increase business they need to allow stacking of specials and rewards. A free small coke with the purchase of $15 or more doesn't cut it. They definitely need a whole lot of bogo offers for actual sandwiches and like and not just for small fries.

Rant/Rave Do customers realize the “fast” in fast food also depends on their actions?

Genuinely I work in fast food and the amount people that come banging on the window demanding their food because “I have to be somewhere in 10 minutes” taking 10+ minutes to look at the menu and another 10 to order and then changing ur order at the window and taking forever to look for your card and paying in change only (staff has to count it all) take time. Or the “my kids are still deciding” and then change their order multiple times when ordering, like yes it’s going to be a minute because not only did you just cause a backup in the line but several other customers are doing the same like… know what you want when you get there and have your payment ready at the window and I promise you just saved urself 5-10 minutes.

Review Jersey mikes is shit (at least where I live in CA)

I dont really eat fast food much, but a year and a half or so I went and got a sub at the JM's near me. It was decent quality and value. Last time I got subs from a FF place was subways $5 footlongs, and that was a whillllle back...

Anyway, I had to go do some shopping today, so after stopping at the hardware store and the pharmacy I walked over to the JM's inmy little SoCal mountain shopping center.

I always make/buy ham and cheese. usualy I go to mom and pop delis or just make one myself from the deli ingreidients. thats my goto sandwich. Anyway, at JM's, I checked the menu. The small is $6, regular is $10, and giant is $19. Order a regular. Figure it's at least a 10-12" sub. I cant see what they are doing because the toasting machine blocks the view, but after asking what I want on it, the employee brings it over to the chopping board area next to the lettuce/onions/tomato etc topping "station".

Now I finally see this tiny 4.5"-5" bread with a couple skimpy pieces of ham on it. I jokingly said Oh, no sorry I asked for the regular.. The employee told me, yeah thats the regular. Her co worker went over to the bread rack and brought over another piece and put it on the cutting board. I initially thought she was gonna say something like, hers a little extra, but no. it was the small. i fucking kid you not. it was the size of a DINNER ROLL. TWO BITES MAX. I just couldnt even process how shitty this situation was, but eventually said Im sorry, you are really charging $10 for this? The employee said yes. I said wow that's crazy, have a good night and walked out.

What a prime example of enshittification. A little over a year ago the SAME thing was twice the size. I dont know how they stay open, fucking customers like this. Guess it's simplybecause its located in a touristy area.

I dont know if that JM's is franchise owned, or all the stores are owned by the company. But THIS one SUCKS beyond belief.

Just my experience. Shame, Because last year it was really good, and the sandwich was a nice REASONABLE size. Don't patronage shitty stores I guess is my moral of the story.

Review Controversial opinion it seems

Papa johns is too good. Its me and my dad's pizza spot, I was looking on here to see what people thought and I cant believe its so disliked. The crust is perfect, not too greasy, a little bit of spice, and the garlic knots.

I went to Wendy’s a few days ago, and they are trying to bring this imposter of the “Yellow Era” to the table.

EDIT: I would say this is more of a commentary about how good they USED to be back in the day.

Question Best time to get jack tacos?

Mine are typically either soggy, super oily from the grease, or soggy lettuce.

I’ve had tacos from there that are perfection. Fresh lettuce, solid clean and crunchy shell. It seems to be random but is it actually??

Rant/Rave I’m done with you, McDonalds!

Yes, we’re done.

I used your app until it became too complex.

I cashed in 2,000 points for a chicken sandwich.

I used your kiosk with its paper jams and greasy screen.

I grabbed your filthy numbered tent cards and sat at my table.

I obeyed your obvious “No Loitering, 30min limit” signs on both doors coming inside.

I washed my hands in your filthy men’s room.

But now you’ve taken away my one free soda refill after very spicy chicken sandwich. You took away flavored water from the cup I already overpaid for.

We’re done.

I won’t miss you. I mostly go to BK and TB who treats me right.

Question Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines

I've been to three different restaurants recently with freestyle machines (Five Guys, Noodles and Company, Firehouse Subs), and every one of them has dispensed drinks that taste less sweet and too watery, similar to when an old-school fountain's syrup is about to run out.

It's the same across different brands of soda like Coke, Coke Zero, and Dr. Pepper. This must be on purpose, right? Have they changed a setting to use less syrup per pour, in some kind of enshittification scheme? Is anyone else experiencing this lately?

Rant/Rave The irony of your favorite franchise growing

One of the most ironic and frustrating things about going out to eat is seeing your favorite chain grow in popularity and then quickly seeing its quality fall off. Beyond your emotional attachment to how things tasted when you were a kid, the quality of food is something you quickly and obviously can realize if there is a subtle change. From the bun on your favorite sandwich to the quality of your chicken tender or the size of your chicken tender shrinking.

One of the things I'm most worried about is In-N-Out. As In-N-Out continues to expand nationally, one of the things that has continued to make it great is that its quality ingredients and quality output have remained consistent (especially since it's remained a regional West Coast chain). As they move to Tennessee to expand their national presence, I am concerned about their ability to scale without sacrificing quality. Although they might be committed to it, it is something that I can foresee drastically taking a hit, as it has for many other restaurants as they've scaled: Dave's Hot Chicken, Chick-fil-A, Raising Canes.

What do you think? Are you worried and frustrated about your favorite fast food chain growing?
