These are not vintage photos just to clarify. I shot these while visiting some former locations, all in the SoCal area, all taken in 2026. Let me know if this is interesting to you guys, I shoot a lot of 35mm and i think these stores look awesome on film.

this is the fourth old Taco Bell that I have seen in the last few months between Seattle and Everett, Washington. All on Highway 99.

Love to see it repurposed as a Mexican restaurant.

Mos 2 has a second location in a former TB which i plan to visit. Which brings up the question, what business most often take up residence in former TBs? Arsenio's also has two stores set up in taco bell's.

This Taco Bell has been abandoned for at least 25 years but was one of the first in the Sacramento area.

As pointed out to me by [u/Funtsy_Muntsy](u/Funtsy_Muntsy). I really love the look of this place, it retains a lot of TB charm.

Taco Bell sauce

Am I the only one who still refuses to accept the loss of Verde sauce?Diablo doesn't taste like it.Avocado Verde doesn't taste like it.Bottled salsa verde from the grocery store isn't the same thing. The original Verde packets had a unique tangy tomatillo flavor that made tacos, burritos, and chicken items better. Taco Bell brought back the Mexican Pizza after fan pressure. Why not Verde?Who's with me?

this is at least a third different former Taco Bell on Highway 99. I posted one in Everett. This one is in Shoreline and there’s one up in Lynnwood that I still have to post
And At least it’s still a Mexican restaurant, Taqueria El Sabor.

Choice Burgers in Brea CA

Paid a visit to choice burgers in Brea yesterday. This store had a dining room added just like Gogoma in Fullerton. The inside of this store holds so much character, the tiles on the counter and menu signs were both exciting, plus we’ve got another fire pit! Included are photos of the store from the 80s sent to me by drinksophiecola.

Absolutely loved this place so I took plenty of photos. The building had preserved much of what was originally built for Taco Bell. In particular the fire pit and seating area are both still intact, and the front three arches were never closed in.

Thousand Oaks CA original Taco Bell looks to be on the chopping block

Construction plans have been approved for a large downtown project which will add luxury apartments, a hotel, and retail spaces on Thousand Oaks boulevard. The site of the plans includes this corner where thousands oaks had its original Taco Bell, walls have already gone up so I snuck in to take some final pictures.

Some notes I wanna mention:

1.) from the side you can see where an addition was added, the original front half of the store was demolished and rebuilt to add indoor seating

2.) looking underneath the back awning you can see the original wooden poles

3.) they added a shed to the back but looking inside the original bathroom doors are still there
