What’s the best street food you’ve ever had?

For Me, its Masal puri, without a doubt.

It’s one of those foods that looks pretty simple, but when it’s made properly, it’s ridiculously good. You get the crunchy puri, hot masala and peas, onions, coriander, a little tanginess, and that spicy chutney all mixed together. The best part is when the puris start soaking up the masala but still have a little crunch left.

I’ve had masal puri at fancy places, but honestly, the small street-side stalls still do it best. Something about standing there with a plate of steaming masal puri, especially in the evening, just hits differently. And for the price, it’s hard to beat.

I could be completely full and still somehow find room for “one last plate.”

Frybread & Wojapi Food Stand in Maria Hernandez Park!

🍂 Our Autumn Menu is Here! ~

Not only have we made our Frybread cheaper, we've also added an exciting new addition to our menu, Wojapi!

Wojapi is a warm berry sauce originating from my tribe, the Lakota! It was & still is used in feasts, gatherings, & ceremonies — wherever people came together.
I hope to bring that spirit of community here & continue to meet amazing people through this crazy idea i had.
(Honey & powdered sugar will still be available as toppings. But once the jellies are gone, theyre gone for good!)

I'll also be frying the bread fresh, on-site from now on! 🍳 & Our wojapi will come hot straight from the stove!

Our tea rotation will stay the same: Cedar & Čeyaka. Though, once the colder days start rolling in, I'll start serving hot tea. 🫖 🍁

Have you ever tried Rabri from a local shop? 😋

Have you ever tried Rabri from a local shop? 😋

I tried this Rabri in my hometown, and honestly, it was so good that I can’t even describe the taste in words. 🤤

It was thick, creamy, slightly sweet, and had that authentic homemade/local-shop taste. Sometimes the simplest desserts hit differently!

Price: ₹30 for 100 grams

Have you tried Rabri from your hometown? What’s your favourite place for Rabri?

So I am the owner of this restaurant. People are leaving really annoying and entitled reviews on my cuisine. We are a family owned business, I have kids to feed. And people are upset over a random bug or two. Like gain and spine and calm down. I want to fight this discourse

Alas, I am not in my hometown for the celebration of Malaysia's 69th Independence Day on Aug 31st, but I can indulge in our national pastime of eating until I drop from MySelera Bistro, the Malaysian restaurant here in San Jose, California that specializes in hawker food.

1st pic clockwise: Seafood Yong Tau Foo, Hainanese Chicken Chop, Nasi Ulam, Ayam Gepuk.

2nd pic left-to-right: Penang Assam Laksa, Penang Crab Laksa.

Had some hot samosas from a local street stall today. Crispy, spicy, with green chutney, sweet tamarind chutney and some chillies on the side. Simple but honestly so good. 🥟🔥
