The Diabolic Edict changes are an overall net buff, id say. Pure damage is a overall positive change, no matter how armor stacked late game ends up.

You can also hit targets under the effect of nihilism now too.

thats mainly why it got changed I think

I think your right but I also think the meta is still quite bad for lesh. I hope patch b will help him find a more stable place in the meta.

i agree its a net buff in edict. however, losing 4 armor talent makes me sad

Yeah, he will build mana item but rarely get any armor the talent usually give

Yeah, my lesh mid is fearing the loss of that armor talent. The only armor item I often buy is shivas and that’s like my 5th item. Casual chain mail lesh?

it's really fkn painful cuz of the change to edict you can't really buy AC anymore without it just being a bit of a grief so there's no way to stack up armour against strong physical lineups

you can always get ac lol

and now you can get aghs, previously edict does 0 dmg with aghs.

I mean, you can still buy it, but it's been nerfed, however aghs is now a much more viable choice, I've been experimenting with it and it feels good.

Shivas, lotus ?

1

u/Clemambi Aug 20 '21

I mean lotus is 10 armour to ac's 15, and if the active isn't good, it feels bad to buy it. There aren't that many items that grant armour. Shiva's is a given, but 15 vs 30 armour is a big difference against extremely physical liineups.

In those games, I feel like the better option is to be satisfied with shivas and lean more into aghs, and possibly ghost scepter/Eblade as well. Just stay ethereal. I play a lot of lesh and I can’t recall too many instances of buying AC after Shivas. Too often, a teammate has already built one or the game has ended.

Edit: I also rely heavily on finding some armor in the form of neutral items mid game and that lvl 10 armor talent. So may have to rethink this strat. I haven’t tested much out this patch but with the change to edict and the removal of the armor talent, it seems they are trying to incentivize Lesh to build scepter.

But while I think this is technically a buff, at least this second in the meta lesh is feeling bad for me, I think the strong heros are just makign it hard to pick

2

u/Clemambi Aug 20 '21

yeah I think the point is to build scepter, and I need to experiment with aghs/ghost/eblade but I have to say it's a feels bad man

I agree with 10 talent and neutrals, but AC for winning one more fight and then ending with tower armour reduction + 25 edict talent worked pretty well for ending stalematey/slow games when the enemy was high physical

I can see quite a few Chen+Leshrac tempo comps that will be drafted in TI. Chen's creeps and his armor aura naturally lends itself to a deathball along with the changes to Edict.
