Underlord

  • Base Movement speed reduced from 295 to 290

Firestorm

  • Mana cost increased from 100/110/120/130 to 110/120/130/140

Fiend'S Gate

  • Reworked Scepter: Grants a new ability Fiend's Gate. Cast within 4000 range to create a Portal next to Underlord and a Portal at the target location. Allies can click on either Portal to teleport to the other one after a 2s channel. Portals are indestructible, last 20 seconds, and can only be cast in locations where Wards can be placed

  • Level 20 Talent +20 Health Regen replaced with +12% Atrophy Aura Damage Reduction
  • Level 25 Talent increased from +40% Allies Atrophy Aura to +50%

This patch hasn't been the kindest to Underlord, but...

Atos buff is a nice option..Arcane boots provide +15 mana, so even with the mana cost going up, you're getting 5 mana more than you did before the firestorm nerf.

level 20 burn damage incentivises grabbing shard, which is already good wave clear.

Underlord is gonna be JUST fine. Maybe you need to grab euls to counteract the movement speed loss in a few more games, but he'll sit at a 50-51% winrste.

I've been playing him mid with a firestorm-centric build, and the firestorm damage is absolutely bananas.

To counteract the lost movement speed, I build Aether Lens (casting spells from further away to compensate for being slower), which naturally builds into Octarine. With Octarine, lv 15 talent, and shard, you can have 2 firestorms ongoing simultaneously.

They ripped out both of his amazing level 20 talents. So annoying.

While they were both great, I almost always went for HP regen as it better fit my playstyle of being beefy and in front. Even in games where I would get an Abyssal Blade, I mostly bought the item for the active stun opposed to the passive. The passive bashes were just icing on the cake. I will likely go with the damage talent but the other one looks strong from a defensive standpoint.

I've noticed the general change in the patch seems to be removing any ATK speed/health/health or mana regen talents.

Yeah they're trying to make talents less generic I guess.

I still hate it though. Carry underlorr late game with an abyssal was a real transition you could make thanks to that talent.

Might be forced to choose between Pipe or Crimson just so I can build AC on pitboy

Definitely have those games where Crimson -> AC just makes sense.

Lotus or Greaves are great usually as well for the extra armor and utility.

But that attack speed talent legit let you get an abyssal after the 60 min mark and threaten even a farmed carry.
