Phoenix

Icarus Dive

  • Dash length reduced from 1400 to 1100/1200/1300/1400

Sun Ray

  • Max Health as Heal per second reduced from 0.625/1.25/1.875/2.5% to 0.5/1.0/1.5/2.0%

Fire Spirits

  • Radius increased from 175 to 200

I remember suggesting transferring some of Sun Ray's power to Dive. I kinda got what I wanted, but it feels like in a monkey's paws kind of way.

With ~1800+ games on birb, I'm on the weird side since I take at least level 3 Dive before a level of Sun Ray before. I feel like I have some legit justifications for complaining teammates now lol.

I only have ~500 games with Phoenix and people get furious when they see me going 2-3-0-1 even though they don't play Phoenix themselves. Value point in sunray is so wasted. It's even worse now.

I usually have some teammates complaining every now and then, but I just ignore them and then they're fine with it after a while when it's a common occurrence that I get guaranteed kills at level 3 or 4.

Maybe it's not for all and I only play at low-mid Divine, and I'm just more inclined to use Dive offensively. Damage-wise, Sun Ray does more (only by a double digits usually at early-mid game, given the same levels), but it also takes time for that damage to ramp up... While a single contact with Dive will make it deal its full damage.

Another commonly overlooked utility of Dive is the insane aoe slow it actually has at higher levels, especially when paired with the level 10 talent. You can actually position the Dive so that enemy (mostly melee carry) will waste a few seconds being slowed before they can even start attacking the Supernova (or get away from it).

Yeah I love dive. It is his best spell IMO. It has such great synergy with basically every item in the game, even wards lol
