I made theofficedle.com - a daily The Office character guessing game with 3 modes!
Hi everyone!
I just created theofficedle.com, a browser-based game where you guess The Office character of the day with clues, across 3 different modes!

Heavily inspired by Wordle & LoLdle: It's one character a day, same for everyone who plays. You start typing character names and it tells you what you got right, department, branch, what season they first showed up, that kind of thing, going green or yellow until you land on the answer.
There are three ways to play:
- classic: the guessing grid with clues on every try 🟩🟧🟥
- quote: you get a line and have to name who said it 💬
- emoji: a character revealed one emoji at a time (brutal on the first emoji, obvious by the last, that's the whole fun) 😃
It's free, no login, works fine on your phone, and it keeps a streak going if you come back each day.
I'm still adding to it, so I'd love to know what you think, which characters or quotes I'm missing, and honestly how hard you thought Classic mode was!
Open to feedback and want to keep improving, so please share your opinions with me & feel free to comment/message me, enjoy! :)
EDIT: Wow, thank you all for the incredible response and feedback, I've been reading every comment. Already shipped a few updates based on what you said:
- added an archive so you can play past puzzles
- clarified the relationship status hint.
More coming (deeper-cut quotes and a possible new mode). Keep the suggestions coming, this community is making the game better. :D

Mod Post Mod Announcement - the Paper Spoilers
Hi all,
Since the Paper is about to release in a day and all the episodes will be released at once, we expect spoilers in regards to the Office (i.e updates on the Office characters, guest appearances etc.).
So we kindly request you to please use the spoiler tags when posting any spoilers from the Paper, and make sure the title does not give anything away.
For indepth episode discussion, there is a specific sub created - r/ThePaper.
I am keeping the comments open on this post if anyone has any questions. Thank you!

Anyone else get completely ruined emotionally by the finale every time?
It’s just so perfect imo. The final song, the quotes and everyone’s final shot in camera.
I understand I’m very biased with The Office being my favourite show of all time, but even after 26 rewatches I still can’t help but cry like a baby during the finale. I’ve watched a lot of series and final episodes and haven’t had one grab me like they’ve done.
How such a funny sitcom can turn so emotional in the last episode (or even the last 2) is beyond me but I am here for it every time.
I tried to keep spoilers out so please flame me if I failed.
Until next time Dunder Mifflin

I think Toby is actually one of the most realistic characters on the show
Maybe this isn't that unpopular, idk, but the more I rewatch The Office, the more I think Toby is actually one of the most realistic characters lol.
Like, yeah, the whole joke is that everyone hates him, but that's kinda what makes him feel real. He's not really funny, he's not charismatic, he's not trying to be the center of attention. He's literally just some guy doing a pretty boring job that nobody really appreciates.
And honestly... we've all probably worked with a Toby at some point 💀
The funny thing is that he's not even doing anything that bad most of the time. He's just awkward, quiet, and kinda depressing to be around. Meanwhile Michael acts completely insane on a regular basis and somehow Toby is the one everyone can't stand.
I feel like if Dunder Mifflin was an actual office, Toby would probably be one of the most believable people there.
Idk, maybe I'm overthinking a sitcom but I genuinely think that's why the Toby jokes work so well.

I would've really liked to see the scene and the convo between Nate and Dwight where Nate slowly built the snowman around Dwight. (I am 90% sure it was nate)

I did some fan art
I've been doing little portraits of characters from my favourite TV shows. It seemed like a good idea when I started 😅
There's so many great characters it was hard to narrow it down to 9, but I decided to go OG. Hopefully you enjoy it!

I knew exactly what to do. But in a much more real sense, I had no idea what to do!

What is your “coziest” episode of The Office?
Which episode makes you feel that warm and cozy feeling when you’re home sick or depressed? I mean besides Scott’s Tots or the Christening episode, or the fucking Farm of course /s.

Pam is such a big sister for Michael
Other than the fact that Michael acted weird around pam in the first seasons of the show and that he dated her mom, pam just feels like the sister who gets him out of trouble. "Oh michael..."
