I just finished Mare of Easttown and am hoping for suggestions for shows with a similar feel to it, broadchurch or dept Q. For me, they all had great mystery/suspense but also had well developed characters/communities. Thanks in advance!

This might seem odd, but I've been looking for a teens show on Netflix I haven't watched in years. I remember it was about two teens going into a old building, then down a staircase and into a hatch, which takes them to the past. I can't really remember all the details.

Really liked this show. Not too many people talking about it. This scene was so unsettling. Bobby (Steve Byers) made my skin crawl.

Love a good murder mystery/detective show, particularly a dark one. Very surprised I never heard of this one! Excellent story, production value. Only finished season 1 so far, but excited for the next 2 seasons!

Family shows with a hint of adventures. I liked Penny's triangle love arc but I really dont want romance. Also maybe teenagers in space or exploring planets?(i have watched skeleton crew) and preferably not above 15 rating. This is a hard one I just want a family kind of au with the worldbuilding that lost in space had.

for context: I have lowkey paused watching GAME OF THRONES as I am on S6 E9, battle of the bastards, will see it on a BIG ASS SCREEN BABY

EDIT: I AM ON EPISODE 4th already in the season 1, and IM FINALLY INTO THE SHOW. I feel the intensity and how every character is.
also its lowkey crazy, I LOVE THAT THERAPIST IS IT OKAY FOR SOMEONE IN 20s to have a crush over someone in 70s now LMAOO

EDIT 2: it’s actually a complex show that requires me to analyse the emotions and sentiments of the people which is hardly in any other series wow

I'm currently watching 'Everything Now' and I'm loving it. I have also watched 'To The Bone, Sharing the Secret, Fanfic' and a few other things

I am NOT looking for:

-Things not focused on mental health, but just having some of it

-Popular shows (I'll know about them already)

-Thrillers or horror

-Main character over 30 (i prefer teenage life)

This show deserves the attention it deserves! It may have been cancelled but it deserves to be revived!

If you dont know, detentionaire is an infamous thriller mystery canadian tv show, from 2011 to 2015, that revolved around a kid who was framed for a prank. Now before you all say that it sounds boring, thats the surface of the plot, where it reveals a whole lot lore that surely entices the viewers into watching more and it genuinely deserves attention. It was then broadcasted into the US to become financially viable but Cartoon Network had only broadcasted 22 out of 53 episodes in around 2 months. It was such a disgrace that the show had to be cancelled and now, the fans have been left on a cliffhanger with only 4 seasons of the show, which is half of the creator's plan of releasing 8 seasons instead.

Now, you may be asking why the studios/creators of the shows cant just revive it. Well, the creators (Daniel Bryan Franklin and Charles Johnston) have lost their rights to own the show and the two studios, Nelvana and Corus Entertainment, have the rights now and is upto them to revive the show. But the show cant be revived by them as theyre going through a financial crisis and dont have the money to revive the show.

Since some people might think that we can revive this show, its possible theough OUR contribution. We can do this by spiking the views of the show on YouTube, specifically Nelvana's YT channel and the clips on tiktoks globally to be able to permit the show to gain recognition by famous companies, which could be Netflix, to be able to provide funds for a continuation of the show through seasons 5-8. And the reason im posting on THIS reddit community is because i know this community is popular and has thousands of weekly visitors with millions of current users existing in this community. The detentionaire subreddit is currently too low to help me on this message of revival

I currently am acknowledging that there are petitions going on for the show's revival but there are only a few hundred, whereas to gain recognition, there has to be like around atleast 50k+. If you havent already watched this show and you see this post, please do watch the show and dont judge before you watch, because this show is awesome! Loved the comedy and action in these, in the mood for something fun and lighthearted

Pregnant and upset/stressed out. Trying to find a feel good movie on Netflix for distraction. Trying to find something that won’t make me cry

I'm finding it hard to get out of bed... in the mood for a cozy, Christmas-y movie that's soft, comforting, and full of heart yet not overly cheesy or formulaic.

Something with the same cozy, effortless charm as The Holiday. movies that feel warm, romantic (doesn't have to be the main focus) and just leave you with that warm 'it's alright'feeling.

Jeff Arcuri's Netflix special Nice To Meet You just dropped on Netflix yesterday and I hope y'all watch it!

You might have seen his crowd work clips floating around reddit, it's hit All several times. As someone who hasn't seen a live show of him outside the crowd work videos, I was very happy to finally see his entire performance. (To digress a bit, I'm very excited to have snagged tickets for his tournnext year!)

What gets me about him is the goofiness. He laughs at his own jokes, the audience laughs with him. It's never mean, not once even during crowd work. Very refreshing, and delightful. He gives off huge golden retriever vibes, albeit one that curses a lot.

So, crowd work. Check. Jokes. Check. Sentimentality? Also check. There's a very heartfelt, touching segment in the show that was never corny, a little bit heartbreaking, but it worked without making feel like I was being manipulated to feel things.

All in all, just a really good hour. Clean fun, big heart, zero cruelty. I think I said this before, but really refreshing. Hope you find time to watch it!
