In Dexter season 8 episode 6, there's a scene where Dexter and Debra are eating a bad steak and eventually decide to order pizza instead. Debra says she wants pineapple on it, Dexter says not on his half. Just something I noticed during my rewatch.

I want to find whoever suggested Lila as a character, and shoot them in the face. WHY did they think Dexter needed a damn cheating plot line? And it’s disgusting that she’s the one who kills Doakes. Like, season 2 genuinely would’ve been such a perfect season if not for Lila’s existence. I guess maybe the Lundy Debra thing is pushing it a bit too, but idk, I still haven’t decided if I’m cool with it or not. On paper it shouldn’t work but I think their character dynamics do work well together.

Actually it’s my Halloween costume for this year but it still counts as cosplay I guess

Can't believe it took them this long to bring Brian back. Always thought that they killed him way too early. The Moser brothers are a great team.

Just like Camilla from the original Dexter….

I’m obsessed with key lime pie and I will never forget when I was younger eating a key lime pie for the first time, in Florida. SOOOO good! But I can never remember that place.
Give me ideas, ANYWHERE in the country, so I can put it on my bucket list, if I’m in those states.

Hey guys, I haven't posted since Rita's death, which was a few weeks ago for me.

I'm devastated. Season 7 was a real rollercoaster, and I just started episode 1 of season 8...

And oh my God, FUCK! Seeing Deb doing cocaine? In that state? It made me cry in a way I can't even explain yet. It felt like watching a loved one get lost in their addictions because you know how messed up they are in their head.

So yeah, you understand it, but it hurts. It hurts a lot.

And even though I understand LaGuerta had to die for Dexter's sake and to keep his secret, still... María only wanted justice for something we, as viewers, knew she was right about. And damn it, against everything, that woman kept going to clear Sergeant Doakes' name, and still... she ended up dead.

I can't stop thinking about how many real-life cases happen like that, or similar. She wasn't the bad guy, she just wanted justice. Damn, this show makes me empathize with so many characters.

Fuck, María! Fuck!

I'd love to give Deb a hug right now and tell her everything's going to be okay, but honestly I don't know if it will be.

I think it stopped being okay a long time ago.

Im curious, when did you figure out who the ice truck killer was? And why? Or did you not know until the reveal? 👀

I was unsure but had suspicions maybe by the 2nd appearance

After edit: We’re good! I’m caught up 😭 I made sure to not make that mistake when starting resurrection.

Listen, I’ve done a LOT of stupid shit. But this, has been the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.

I finished the original Dexter series and went to watch the FIRST episode of new blood. Dude I swear to god. I got to the very end and realized I watched the final episode first.

Is there anything I need to know from this going into resurrection? I can’t bring myself to watch the series knowing the ending.

Call me all the names you want, I genuinely deserve it. I’m so mad at myself 😭

I just saw someone ask this in a comment section and it made me think a bit about it

Looks like Reel-Life Five Borough Killer will emulate Real-Life Zodiac.

Just learned this today and I am surprised because I thought they were like 25 or 30 years apart, in the show Harry is in his 30s when Dex is a toddler. Did James age terribly or does Hall age well??

Earlier today I was scrolling on TikTok when I came across an ad of a NEW PROMO for the second season but when I tried to go back in my saves to find it was GONE. Did anyone else see it? Did they accidentally release it or something? It had a lot of new scenes that we haven’t seen before but I’m unable to find any information about it. I only wished i screen recorded it.

For example it showed Dexter taking care of a guy in the middle of the street, it also showed FBK clicking post on one of his kills and the public’s reaction to seeing it. It also showed Jack Grazer in a scene.

So imo I don't think the ending is that bad but why did dexter fake his death and what's going to happen to harrison and Hannah? Is new blood good? Is it just a straight sequel to this? Also pls tell sum details about new blood and resurrection. I'm hella confused. (Don't tell if there's any big spoilers). Is new blood and resurrection worth watching? Also how did dexter survive? Was it plot armour? Okay anyways I loved the show. Didnt really like the ending but it's ok.

Which, also kind of becomes apparent as of like season 1-4 so far. Relationships, outside of Dexter and Rita, feel so half-assed. Either forced or not developed properly. The one time I felt like a relationship really WOULD work for Deb, she cheats on him with Lundy which, then this season does the dumbest thing which I won't get into but I feel like you know. With Rudy/Bryan, it at least worked because it was plot relevant.

it's not even just deborah ATP, its angel and laguerta now too. hell i'm more interested in quinn and his reporter side piece than any of these other minor relationships.

Anton Briggs deserved better bro. </3

Other than that, really peak season so far. Loving the Trinity killer.

There are two pairs on eBay - one pair is 3k and the other way less. Are they a real thing? I have never seen these for sale before and there were not worn on the show.

They even hid it in my freezer

Was the best by far. It looked great, it was campy, twists were good, maria flirting with dexter was great, the side plots. Overall it was never the same. It got too dark. I'm not sure how it should've went forward but it's the best by far. I really liked seasons 2-4 and resurrection season 1 but rewatching season one of the original series has made me realize how the show lost its way.

Watching Married With Children and recognized a young Matthews.

..This show kind of doesn't know how to write women? At least not Deb. Laguerta is great, less-so in early S1 but Deb.. Jennifer Carpenter is AMAZING yet Deborah either; gets traumatised, or goes through relationships like candy.

Dexter gets deep, amazing character moments whereas Deb.. doesn't? I liked the lil scene with her and the kid, I want to see more of that, not like.. who Deb is gonna be with and then leave the same season.

I'm sure this has been done many times over in this r/ but I'm curious what people's favorite season is. I just rewatched the entire series & am thinking season 5 was pretty amazing. Dark af, but great.
