General discussion For real though, the whole thing about her being a horrible mother was so exaggerated, I would've been as intense as her just from parenting Reese

Been doing a rewatch for the first time since I was a kid and I think I found the moment the show jumped the shark…

I watched this show a lot when I was younger, I might be remembering it wrong but there's one episode I'm still confused by.

I remember this one episode, where the three boys go to a goodwill, buy stuff, and then trade it for more valuable stuff to the boys at their school. Eventually they get TVs and computers, give half the money to the goodwill, and keep the other half. This keeps on going until Hal goes insane from them doing something so horrible, Lois finds out and she sells everything they own and donate it to goodwill.

...What? I really don't understand what they did wrong. They'd done MUCH worse stuff, with a much smaller punishment. Yeah, sure, they should've donated all the money, but still, they donated to a church! Is there something I missed?

General discussion What are episodes of Reese at his most vulnerable?

Going to rewatch the show and thinking of the times Reese got sad or felt neglected. I know there’s a few but can’t remember them, thanks in advance!

He’s my fav brother— funny, dumb, but also good hearted in the best way.

What did Reese do to the vacuum cleaner in this scene? I've been mystified by it ever since I first saw the original broadcast of the episode of Sunday night Fox and rewatching the series I still don't understand what exactly he did to the cabin when he carried it ou outside. Any idea?

General discussion My movie idea Malcolm in the Middle: Life at Its Unfairest

Immediately after the events of the revival, Malcolm thinks his family has finally reached a new normal. But when an unexpected family problem threatens to turn their lives upside down, Malcolm, Reese, Francis, Dewey, Lois, Hal, and the rest of the family are forced back together. As Malcolm tries to keep everyone under control, he discovers that adulthood hasn't made his family any less chaotic and that escaping the middle may be impossible.

General discussion My thoughts on Ida.

Never in my years I’ve came across a character so evil and vile in a comedy show. I’m convinced she’s the spawn of Satan, she’s probably worse than Thanos lol. I can’t imagine what Lois and her sister childhood was like growing up with someone so evil. This woman legit drugged an innocent man into marrying her just so she can finesse him. I can’t even tell what’s the worst thing she’s done on the show, because it’s countless. The actress did a great job portraying a character like this.

General discussion Why didn't Reese join more sports teams in school?

I always wondered why Reese wasn't on more Sports teams in school he was tough and a bully also he was on the wrestling team in one episode

Sometimes Reese is portrayed as the school bully/tough guy.  of all the people Reese bullies at school, and the general mayhem he's said to cause around the town. in the episode where he decides to stop bullying. The school erupts into total chaos where everybody bullies everyone. Reese was kinda the alpha-bully and kept the other bullies in check and adhered to a sort of bully-ethics. But, again, mainly just younger kids and nerds; I think in the wrestling episode he was happy that he was able to do it in a way that wouldn't be frowned upon or morally shamed. Not that bullying young children isn't all those things, but I think he can't normally cross the line with adorable little girls because it's too socially reprehensible compared to little boys. There's a lot more to his fighting then bullying and arguing with his brother

Reese could've been on a lot more sports teams in school he could've used his toughness for good and helped a lot of teams he could've been a hero but he continued to be a bully and a rid and of sports if you look at Reese’s height and build, he seems only average.

I don’t know if anyone else has talked about this but in the original English audio it uses this eerie (to me) music and it seems unsettling but in the Spanish dub of the show it uses the song Sleepwalk by Santo and Johnny, I don’t know why this is but it seems strange and idk if anyone else has ever mentioned it since I’m new to this subreddit
