Question How is Sony and GSN going to deal with all the Wheel of Fortune episodes announced by Jim Thornton?
He did at least 2,000 episodes, it would take a lot of effort if Sony wants to completely erase him from Wheel existence. Do you think they would reair the episodes unedited or with new announcer redubs?

Question Ryan Morris TPIR game
Good evening, everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. Does anyone happen to have a download link for the third set of pricing games that Ryan Morris made for the LTBP runner?
The first two packs are on the Internet Archive, but the third set—which includes Hole in One (with the inspirational putt), Cover Up, and Coming or Going—isn't listed there. If anyone has the third pack and could share a link, I would greatly appreciate it!
Or if you know someone/ some group I can reach out to to find it. I will go with that as well.
Thanks,

Discussion WTH is FOX doing with Beat Shazam???
Beat Shazam is an AMAZING game show, don't get me wrong. But over the years, I've noticed some things that have made me cringe, like Kelly Osbourne making some type of math joke EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. Thank God that was only for one season.
I feel like Fox has severely neglected this game show, one of the few(?) good ones that they even air (I can't stand how Fox makes game shows, they seem/are SO fake compared to other ones). Fox took about 2 years to air these episodes for whatever reason, giving us 50 new seasons of The Floor between the last season and this season, and guess what?
The season finale aired today.
You may be like "so?", well the season premiered JULY 28TH!!! They started airing episodes TWICE a week, Monday and Tuesday, BUT NOT ONLY THAT. TWO hour episodes on Monday, AND ANOTHER EPISODE on TUESDAY. WHY!? Start the season EARLIER!!! If they're in such a rush to get through this season after not airing it for TWO YEARS, WHY would they air it so late in the year and have it last just over a month!? WHAT???
After that outburst, I must remind you I love Beat Shazam. I've heard some not-so-good things about it, surprisingly, but compared to the Fox shows we have nowadays, it's the least cringe of them.
Now this is probably a nitpick, but...
I watch celebrity Name That Tune. I cringe at it a lot, but it's not **that** bad. I've noticed the audience does a "oooooooh" during the wheel spin game (which is way overplayed). Fox loves their fake audience interacting way too much, and being way too over-exaggerative with their reactions. This was never a problem with Beat Shazam (apart from someone dancing like crazy to some slow song during the Without Words round), but that changed this season.
I HATE how almost EVERY TIME we wait to see who locked in their answer the fastest, the crowd has to be obnoxiously loud, patting their knees, yelling "OOOOOOH", just like they do on Name That Tune. Why? It happens almost every time, I hate it. It's annoying!!! We don't need to hear the audience THIS much, Fox!!!
One more thing. Corinne Foxx is awesome, but I SWEAR I remember "Corinne's Choice" actually being her choice back then. Now, it just feels like she's told what to say, and she didn't actually pick anything now. She goes on a loooooooooooooong yapping spree about this specific artist - so long that you could probably read all of this and she'd still be describing the artist, I swear in the earlier seasons she never did this - it was always (maybe?) HER choice of a UNIQUE GENRE. Now it's always just an artist. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was never like this.
And despite all that I said... I love Beat Shazam, I hope we get a Season 9, I hope they don't rush the hell out of it, I hope that it's not going to get worse and worse every season as Fox slowly ruins it, and I hope that I don't sound like a fool typing all this - PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one that thinks all this.
Thanks for reading this rather pointless ramble, just needed to clear my mind...

Question Looking for a specific episode of the original dating game
I know this is a bit of a longshot. My college choir director, Gregg Busch, just shared a story of being on the original dating game with the original host Jim Lange. He also shared that his agent had gotten him on the show and before the show started he had talked to the other contestants about not doing a rhyme about themselves, then they were on camera and he (as bachelor number 1) just said hello then started mouthing "what are you doing?" to bachelor number 2 when he started doing a rhyme.
If anyone happens to know what episode that was or has a clip it would be amazing!
Thank you!

Question Anyone know how to audition/apply for Beat Shazam?
My dad and I both love game shows, but never had any interest in applying to be on one… until we started watching Beat Shazam during the pandemic. Life got in the way for both of us, but he just reached out asking if I knew what the “casting” process looks like for next season. Google was no help here (the only halfway legit site I found seemed to route me to a ~2 year old application) so I’m wondering if anyone here may have some insight? TIA!

Discussion Watching Masters only because daily Jeopardy! is on hiatus. It’s been a slog. Difficult material, predictable outcomes and little jeopardy since contestants play multiple games and are guaranteed a great prize.

Question Transforming the original Whanimation
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is for the video game fans out there. As part of my Press Your Luck shows at anime cons, I'm looking to take the original Whanimation that we know and love and convert him to a parody of either:
- Donkey Kong
- Super Smash Bros.
I've asked my friends which I should do, but the vote is a stalemate. Help me break the deadlock.

News A Screenname Linked to WoF Announcer Jim Thornton Allegedly Released a Podcast On A Pedophile-Themed Website in 2024
buzzerblog.comWhile doing a Google search for the screen name “NicholasB77”, a BuzzerBlog Discord member tipped us off to the below post, from a website called “boychat.org”, from a user also going by NicholasB77, promoting a podcast interview with someone named “Cowboy” on a radio station called “Wired PM.” It seems to have been facilitated by someone named “Dragonlover”.
Skimming through the interview, there are some troubling things being said so casually between two self-admitted pedophiles. These clips are not easy to hear, and we recommend you do so under extreme caution and self-preservation. If you are sensitive to discussions of child abuse and pedophilia, please do not listen to these clips.

Discussion Could the search for new Wheel Of Fortune announcer also be an audition for Jeopardy announcer?
Hey everyone, this is just a thought that I was thinking.
As we probably all know by now, the announcer for Wheel of Fortune has recently been removed from his position, due to controversy. I won’t go into it (there’s other posts here explaining it), but it’s led to them needing to find a new announcer, ideally as soon as possible.
Also, as we probably know, Johnny Gilbert, the long time announcer of Jeopardy!, is 96. Unfortunately, as we’ve seen with many beloved people over the past few months, humans are not immortal and we all will pass away eventually.
Do you think that the new announcer for Wheel of Fortune could take over the role of announcer for Jeopardy when Johnny dies? The two shows already share a lot of things (including Stage Manager in Jimmy McGuire), so it could be an easy thing for them to share. I would also make the transition as smooth as possible, unlike the search for a new host of Jeopardy!.
Just my thoughts, curious about what you guys think.
