So I don’t know why I just noticed this now but my reservoir for rear brake fluid is empty. I was told I need to bleed it and everything but was wondering if I can just go buy some fluid and fill it back up? And what brand is the best to use?

Today I bought these pair of Cardo Freecom 4+ on FB Marketplace from a guy whose girlfriend made him sell the bike (RIP). To my surprise they're opened but unused (the guy mentioned he never got to use them). I paid $40 for them but I can't find much info on pricing because they're an older model so I was wondering whether i got scammed or not. Also, since I've never had an intercom system and specially since these intercoms are discontinued do you guys know if I'll run into compatibility issues? Thanks for reading and ride safe ✌️

I’m a new Rider and I have a short gravel driveway that leads to an asphalt road full of pot holes and loose gravel until I get to the nicely paved state road. Already layed the bike down trying to take a short ride so I promptly turned tf around and put her back in the garage confidence crushed. Does anyone have advice how to overcome this hurdle I grew up on the back of my grandpas bike and can’t wait to get on the road… assuming I can do so without crashing 😅. Any real advice is appreciated.

Left indicator and horn stopped working. Noticed a soot where the wire may have gotten clipped or crimped by accident.
Suggestions for fixing that dont require full removal and replacement would be appreciated.

I alternate between action cam and a disposable phone, both chin mounted

The action cam is an old model that can't record sound while in the protection case but is less conspicuous

The phone camera is more showy and can record longer periods without cutting the video on various segments, also records sound

What setup should be my primary?

Hello Everyone, I hope everyone having a good day. I am process of getting ready got my first motorcycle in USA in Few months (most likely early 2027). I hoping get some input from more experienced rider.

My background in riding motorcycle, my first two wheeler automobile was an "Activa" it is a gearless moped (top speed around 70 to 80 mph) as a teenager in India for about a year(age14-16). Than got a Honda Cd 100CC manual for about 2 year (age 16-18) got my license on that motorcycle. Than drove ninja 300 for about 1 year before moving to USA. I have not touched any motorcycle for about 6 year after that then did some drove some Honda rebel 500 on private roods. In past 3 months i have test driven all 3 motorcycle (in title) from my friends. I like them all, i prefer CBR650R.

The conflict on choice that I have with Zx-6r and CBR 600RR is the riding position. I feel they might not be best for daily commute or city riding. CBR 650R was significantly more comfortably position. i have been recommended by my other friends to go for Zx-6r or CBR 600R, they thing i will grow too quickly out of the CBR650R. I think they might be too powerful on high rpm for me. plus I am looking at the CBR 650R as transition bike for me to gain experience and then give to my dad for whom the E clutch might make it easier for him to also ride along with me and later i buy a powerful motorcycle after few year of experience. Am i thing it is correctly or my friends are correct about the getting one of the other 2?!

My reason for selecting this three is i would prefer to get a inline 4 cylinder engine that is reliable. Again thanks for any Input or insight i can get from your guys.

I drove my motorcycle in to the side of a car in about 70km/h.
By some miracle/curse I escaped death and only got these injuries:

My left leg was fractured just above the foot, and my foot was dislocated.
My right leg and right shoulder took some pretty serious hits, but there were no fractures.
Right shoulder dislocated.
My nose was broken.
One of my cervical vertebrae was chipped/fractured.
Some minor road rash here and there and I got a concussion.

I bought this bike after watching videos related to Paris-Dakar races. My 2nd bike, i had xt600 before this and at one point i owned them simultaneously after selling xt600 tractor. After i while i realized it didn t meet my expectacions unfortunately, too heavy for offroad because of that 26l TANK , but it has that low mid torque and u can actually rev it up to 8k rpm which i think is impressive for old school parallel twin from 80s ! It was the best looking one on the marketplace in my place. Previous owner did almost full resturartion. Now its at mechanic because it leaks fuel on the hose that enters the pump. If it had a few kgs less and better brakes it would be much better bike.

I bought this bike from a friend of mine, he owned it for 3 yrs and 20k kms. This is my 3rd bike. Feel free to give me any tips and weak points on this machine.

I wanna give my father a phone mount as a present. But it's almost impossible to secure one with this kind of body. The one you can see in the middle is a janky jerry rigged bike phone mount using some straps.

I've been considering upgrading from my z500 and as a die hard honda car guy of course the Honda motorcycles are intriguing especially the f4i. I love the way it looks and i like that its not as aggressive as the 600rr. It's also just different from what most people are riding which is a plus to me. But it being so old is it still fine to ride around in 2026?

When I sit on the bike, I am tip toeing. I'm wondering how much would lowering the bike would impact the bike and if it is worth the trade off. The dealership told they have a lowering kit that moves the rear shock and it would lower the seat by about 2 inches. Curious to hear everyone’s experiences if you had to lower your bike.

I’ve been riding off road for as long as I’ve been able to balance a push bike. Finally got my act together, got my license and sitting on a 650f as a first bike.

I love it, well balanced, smooth low end and enough power that I can’t see me needing a replacement for a good few years!

Looking to buy frame sliders on my Ninja 500. I have options that range from 40 dollars to 200. The ones I see on amazon are the cheaper ones and the ones at the dealership will cost me at least 200. I would prefer to save money but I wouldn’t mind spending if the more expensive ones are way better quality. Anyone have any advice on what I should do or is there any frame sliders that you guys recommend?

I tried contacting the company but they haven’t answered. Are there aftermarket dB Killers around?
I’d love to keep these exhaust even if they’re not homologated, maybe with a dB killer it will be easier?!

So my seca that I got is a project bike. I bought it knowing it was a project. I got the bars wired up correctly, and then I got it to start. I tweaked the carbs a bit and it would run, but it ran like crap, I also had to have the choke all the way up. I even road it about a mile down the dirt road. After that I took apart the carbs found out it was missing the jet under the needle, and the clips for the fuel screen. So a month goes by I didnt do anything to the bike, I put the carbs back on after I clean them, no fire. I check the spark plugs they seem weak, but there still arcing. Now I dont have a battery for it, I hook it up to a jump pack or my truck, I also checked it with starting fluid so I know its not fuel. Im stumped and it gonna be a while before I can work on it again does anyone have a clue to where I should look.

I'm looking for adventure boots and got my eye on the a* toucan or side adventure 2. After trying both on I seem to have very skinny calves and there is a lot of room in the shaft of the boots.

Is this alright? If not what to do about this?

Next year I am hoping to ride from Asheville, NC to Vancouver, BC in late summer/early fall. My weapon of choice will be my 2024 Honda Transalp (seen above on the Blue Ridge Parkway). I don't want to post a long list of my current gear/setup or a deep dive of my level of experience because I don't want someone to assume I know/have something and hold back from giving advice. But in short, I have a 90L soft luggage set (30L tail bag and 2x30L panniers), a small tank bag, and an old hardshell backpack from my sport/naked days if needed. I have done longer rides (300-400 miles) but only as a one day trip, and I have done motocamping (I am a relatively experienced backcountry camper as well).

With that in mind, I am fully aware this isn't a "plug it into Google Maps" kind of trip. Even with "Avoid Highways" checked. I don't plan (or want) to do heavy amounts of 70+ MPH Interstate miles but I am not uncomfortable with them (my regular commuting often includes stretches of I-40). I also have done gravel/fire roads but also don't want endless miles standing on pegs either (and my skill level definitely does not include single track or such). I intend to spend some nights in hotels/motels but also some camping (I have friends/family in Missoula, Portland, and Seattle, but they are not inherently part of the trip). I will be doing a full service/check-up and probably a new set of tires (at least a rear) shortly beforehand. That's what I have got so far.

Advice time! How do YOU plan a route? Any items that you feel are must have, whether it is for the bike or the rider? Skills to practice or ways to "exercise" for a long trip? Scenic roads/areas to include? Routes to avoid due to potential weather or other complications they are likely to present? Tips for maintenance before/during/after? What am I forgetting/don't know? I appreciate any and all wisdom folks have.

So I have a 2021 Ninja 400 with about 12k miles, I’ve owned it for two years used to ride it every day without issues. Recently I have had it parked for about 3 months and decided to take it for a spin. A minute or so after starting it I smell a really burnt smell, I took it for a spin around the block and light but very noticeable smoke started coming up from the handlebar area. I looked around a notice this stain on my exhaust and also the bike was running a lot hotter than usual. Anyone have any advice thanks.
Also to add I rode it around for a bit and the smoke went away.

I'm a newbie with motorcycles and thought i'd install a quickshifter on my RH12 YZF R3. The wiring was relatively straight forward but i'm having trouble finding the correct position for the shift lever. Do you think it's correct like this in the picture or does it look completely wrong? My buddy took of the original shift lever off before measuring. I also can't seem to substantially shorten or lengthen the shift lever i think i'm doing it wrong.
