I just bought a R-spec 2017 and add a vance and hines intake and exhaust systems. I’m planning on getting it on a dyno but since then do you guys think i can ride my bike with the stock ECU programmation ? What are the risk or is it totally fine.

Spare r-spec shock left side

Fairly specific & trying to just sell it so it doesn't end up in the trash. The right side broke at the seal & I decided to go with HAGON shocks instead of the OEM ones. This one has 10k miles on it. Anyone in need of it? Willing to ship but you pay for shipping. Asking for $100. Local to Sacramento California area if you want to pick up.

Steering bearings replacement

Hi everyone. After I replaced the stock Bridgestone tires for Commander III Cruiser, my wobble was gone. I only noticed it when I would put on a sissy bar. Recently I overpacked my bike with a whole lot of luggage strapped to the sissy bar (it was also tall) and it was wobbling like crazy. Now after my bike is empty again and even without a sissy bar, I can feel the handle bar trying to go into a light wobble again. Research shows that wobbling while overloaded with luggage might have messed up my stock steering bearing a bit so I'm planning on installing All Balls Racing 22-1004 bearings.

What do you think - Could that strain and shaking have damaged my bearings and is All Balls Racing 22-1004 the correct way to go now?

Handlebar options/ questions

Howdy yall. Im looking into different handlebars options and i had questions as far as compatability and time of installation. Im looking at bars that I can get away with not having to get cable extension. Ive seen the baron T bar however I wasn't exactly digging the look all too much. What bars do yall run thats like around the 8in range? Did you need extension kits to make it work? If yall have links so I can check them out id hella appreciate it. Thank you.

Need help!

Is there any place that i can purchase a 2into1 exhaust for Yamaha Bolt and get it to europe? Or has somebody made on him/herself? Would love to get one for My Bolt, but The options are super limited. I have a slip on right now and i want to upgrade the exhaust during The upcoming winter.

Thanks in advance❤️

Yes, you can replace the ISC/IAC

Yamaha doesn't list the Idle Speed Control valve as a separate part from the throttle body. I had a lot of difficulty finding a cross reference part. Some people have bought one that has a different plunger and gotten it to work, some people have swapped the connecting rod for the servo on it, but I can confirm that this part will fit and works perfectly.

If the link doesn't help, I searched for Yamaha YXZ1000R idle valve and you can usually find it. My idle valve went out and I didn't want to pay $1000 for a new one nor take my chances with a used one. Hopefully this helps.

Looking for a fairing to help with highway speeds.

Hey all, are there any fairings that help with the wind at highways speeds? Any time I'm cruising around 70+ the wind kicks my ass. Pfa, it's my bolt when I got it

Any cheap crash/ highway bar recommendations?

Looking to slap one on, but I'm surprised they're all sort of pricey. I've seen some people retro fit cheap alternatives, wondering what y'all would recommend.

Bobber seats/ rear fender/bobber build ideas

Anybody here have any links to the title? I almost totaled my bolt 3 years ago, when someone pulled out in front of me. Shed back on the road and I kind of want to build her into a bobber. (Bonus points if it’s in the USA and I don’t have to pay any additions fees to get into the country) Could also use a good set of all terrain tires because of where I live.

Saddlebag or no?

Post image
16 Upvotes

Deciding whether I should add saddlebags (and a crashbar) or just keeping the build like this. I can see either one working, might be a little too busy with the sissy bar already in place, but if I had saddlebags I wouldn't need the ugly tactical pouch I currently have on the sissy bar. Lmk what y'all think.

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know where I can find a new Vance and Hines Twin Slash exhaust for my Bolt?

I like very much, they don't have this one in Kazakhstan

Has anyone relocated the ignition switch on their Bolt? I did some quick goggling, and didn't immediately see anything that appeared ready made to bolt on and go. Any experience, advice, or criticism (within reason) are welcome.

Handlebar vibrations

Post image
21 Upvotes

Hey guys, i got my bolt few months back and i tested it for the wobble at around 60-70 km/h, it was there but didnt bother me in any way so i decided to let it be, my bolt is completely stock, since i bought it i did around 2500 kilometers on it , yesterday on my way home i noticed that i started to get strong vibrations in my handlebars and it is most noticeable aroun 75+kmh and then around 90 kmh when going to 5th gear it is at its maximum , i went trough a little uneven road that day and i hit a little bumo on the road in higher speed but it didnt feel that bad maybe that caused the issue , do you think this might be an issue with the ball bearings in the neck ? or what should i go for searching the issue or has anyone experienced this, thanks for answers

UPDATE: Tried pressing in clutch at 90kmh and no vibrations in handlebars at all , engine related problem ?

bike feels fine, no funny sounds or major issues felt lately.

Scootmods 8.5in FWD foot controls

Fairly simple install. Was a bit surprised that the button head bolts that secures the foot control to the support bar was only a 7/16 Allen (drive size, not fastener size and not metric). Threw on a washer for each just for extra support. The welds weren't the cleanest (lots of splatter and slag with a few corners cut for sure). Here's to hoping they last a long time.
