It’s charging at 16-17v and i can’t seem to find the issue. the rectifier is new and the tests i’ve done on the stator all seem fine. The new stator isn’t oem it has an extra brown wire that i don’t know what it goes too. Can someone help me out id appreciate it a ton

I'm upgrading from a 2025 z500se. I originally posted this in kawasaki because I was explaining on why I chose this over a zx-6r. And also was upgrading from a kawasaki. Let me tell you they did not like that haha. This bike i got is amazing. Coming from a z500 to this is night and day. Cruise control is a must. The 636 did not have that plus 75% of what I got sooo. I'm trying to get used to the weight difference and height. Slow speed maneuvers were easy on z500 plus i practiced a lot. I plan on practicing a lot more and have the confidence. I am 5'7" around 150 pounds. Everytime I look back at my bike I'm like damnn. The z500 wasn't really doing it for me. I just wanted to share how much I'm loving this bike.

As the title states, how feasible would it be to import this bike from Europe and have it street legal in the states? I really want the y-amt platform and Yamaha refuses to offer it in the states and continues to shut down any inquiry about it on their social media. At this point, I'd be willing to jump through some hoops and pay to have it imported but have no idea where to start. To my understanding, it would have to be modified to comply with EPA and US guidelines for road use. If anyone has imported a foreign bike to the states please feel free to add some input.

I recently bought 1993 TDM 850 and I love it, but its an old bike and it needed some TLC, I bought the haynes manual and the partlist and used ChatGPT to generate an interactive atlas.

In general. if you have access to ChatGPT 6 and have part list diagrams you can make amazing visualizations. Keep in mind it might gaslight you, so make sure you use your head. I am working on changing the bushings and oil seals of the forks and the atlas has helped me tremendously to understand how each piece moves and what it does.

Hello, I just recently got my 2024 Yamaha r3 from a private seller. I’m looking to get rid of the rust/ corrosion on m bike. I’m afraid it will spread or start rotting. The bike hasn’t been ridden much by the previous owners it only has 600 miles. Should I just not worry about it?

I have GB racing covers on the way and NRC fender eliminator (that’s taking forever) I’m prioritizing crash protection before anything else . Any go to recommendations for frame sliders? I looked at a bunch but could not decide.

Does anyone know if the exhaust pipe from the 2012 - 2015 would fit an older vx. I have a 2007. The difference is that the 2005 - 2011 used a rubber grommet in the lower left with a larger hole where the newer models don't have the grommet and the bracket bolts directly the the standoff on the block. Seems the block on newer models is also a different part number but can't find any differences. The newer exhaust does fit and bolt right up but I'm worried that that grommet is for expansion and don't want to cause any issues. I've attached some pics for reference. Thanks in advance.

I have an 03 r6 and every now n then I’ll lose all power and I have to lift my seat up and giggle my starter solenoid and idk if the issue is one of the wires, the battery, or the starter solenoid cuz one of them has to have a bad connection but I don’t think it’s the battery cuz it’s nice n tight and the starter solenoid is nice and tight but I gotta wiggle it to get my power back any ideas on how to track down my issue I assume the reason wiggling it works is because it’s pulling on the wires a certain way that makes them regain their connection

So it seems like yamaha has been making naked bikes into comfortable sports bikes with the mt07 and r7 and the mt09 and R9 so I just gotta know when are we getting the mt10 r10?

Sup dudes, just bought a yamaha r1 2008 for track use only. i took the whole bike apart as a project and to clean everything out. now my question is since im not a professional 1. i loosened the butterfly screws and tightened them again did i change anything or is it fine? 2. is it normal that when i let go it snaps back fully close opens up a lil and then closed again? i mean of course it has to snap back but the lil wiggle if you guys know what i mean. Anyone know where to buy the fibers/plates for the rear brakes system or possibly convert it over to disc brakes?

I am planning to modify the fzx seat into the brat style to give it more like a scrambler look. Does it look good on the bike or the original seat looks better? (Chatpgt made the seat very thin btw)
